The Yard Milkshake Bar Atlanta - Downtown

Came across the Milkshake Bar while walking back to our hotel in downtown Georgia. My teenage boys loved everything about this place. Lots of different options to pick from. You can choose extreme, simple, or just a basic milkshake. My family and I said that Houston really needs a place like this as we really do not have places like this for an ice cream shop outing. Maybe one day Houston will be another location added!!!

A very cute, vibrant ice cream and milkshake shop. Friendly and patient staff. The have a wide range of flavors in ice creams and cookie doughs! I had never been to a dessert place that had different flavors of cookie dough before. Ended up ordering a single scoop of the Sea Salt Caramel Ice Cream, which was really good and moderately priced - $4.75

Omg!!!!! This place is a gem. Like wow!!!!!!! Sooooooo good. So amazing!!! If you need dessert this is the place !!!!!! We did come here when they were about to close so the girls seemed a little upset, I mean I get it. They were trying to finish up and go home and when we walked in, more people walked in after us. But my goodness! Can you blame us??? We don't want to miss out on this!!! And I'm glad we didn't. Came from out of town and just happened to pass by.The ice cream is just sooooooo good. Can't wait to come back here !!!

Stopped by after the aquarium for ice cream treat. Boy was this a treat. Big portions you can share with someone else even with the small cups. There was only one person working so things took a bit longer to come out but service was good. The person working came back after our milkshakes were served and told us they didn't prepare correctly and brought us some additional treats to add to our shake. We hadn't even noticed but appreciated the honesty.We will be back with additional guests for another treat.

I'm gonna tell you all just once. Stop by this place to get the Breakfast Blend. If you're a fan of Nutella and Chocolate and coffee, and a milkshake, with a waffle and some whip cream, this is your treat. But be wary, it's only available for a limited time. We jumped over to this spot when the craving for ice cream hit... While the concept was charming and the ice cream was delicious, the service was lacking. We spend almost 5 minutes to be greeted in the empty store & then another 10 minutes waiting for our paid orders. This vould very well be due to the fact that it was only 1 employee for 15 patrons. Hope they can staff accordingly so that service can improve - the employee wasn't just sitting around because they were in the back washing (we could hear the commotion) but they weren't happy to serve when it seems they had so many other tasks to accomplish.

Gotta love that dairy free ice cream. Next time I come back I would just for the dairy free ice cream. Beware though. It's pretty sweet.I wouldn't get the milkshake again as of how killer it is to the throat for sweetness.It was a nice break from the summer heat though. Inside is clean and modern. Not too crowded when we went.I would go for a single scoop next time or at least share a pint. Sweetness overload for me ‍

I wasn't aware that The Yard was a franchise, and there are several locations across the U.S.We stopped by after a meeting, and we shared the Sea Turtle - this came with butter pecan and praline ice cream in a chocolate-iced mason jar that's also rolled in crushed waffle cone; this is also topped with whipped cream, caramel and chocolate drizzles, and 2 Turtles.This was definitely a decadent dessert, and very easily shared between 2-3 people.The menu also offers shakes, sundaes, floats, edible cookie dough, and even GF and vegan options.You go through the line and get up to 2 samples of the ice cream; you place your order and pay, and your number will be called out when it's ready.Note that there's a password to use the restroom on the receipt.Plenty of seating inside. There's also a rinse station to clean out your souvenir mason jar, which I thought was pretty convenient.I do wish they properly stock napkins and paper towels, though, as they were non-existent.+shareable ice cream creations+friendly service+rinse station available for souvenir mason jars+lack of napkins

If you're a Ferrero Rocher fan definitely make your way over to The Yard before the end of February to try their Ferrero inspired milkshake.What's nice is they have pint and half pint sizes available in case you're like me and can't possibly finish a whole pint in one sitting.There's indoor and outdoor seating but who is going to eat ice cream outside this time of year? Not I. While my boyfriend ordered our desserts I was able to snag an indoor table and waited for our tasty treats.

A HIGHLIGHT of the Atlanta Food Scene, the Yard is a showstopper. Creamy, delectable shakes topped with outrageous goodies? What more can you ask for?Setting: Aesthetically pleasing indoor and outdoor seating once you order from the ice cream counter. The large sink is a nice touch after those messy shakes. Service: Can get pretty busy during the summer, so do expect a wait, but the staff is patient and always ready to answer your questions. Shakes: Unbelievable. I've been here many times with friends and family, and the extravagant shakes always impress. $17.25 each including the jar. Parking: I recommend parking at a nearby garage and walking around to get your money's worth!
