If you want unique flavors in both drink and food you need to come here. I ordered the Cavatelli but more about that later. The bartender Grayson is a master of his craft. I recommend telling him what you like and letting him craft a custom cocktail for you. This is the beginning of being pampered here and I highly recommend this. He made me drinks I have never heard of and with tastes I have not yet experienced. I will post I pic of the ingredients to show you. I ordered their home baked Sfincione bread to start. Spread the butter on this 72 hour bread and you will be absolutely delighted. I took the rest to go for my breakfast with coffee the next morning. The Cavatelli arrived and I loved it. The lamb combined with hazelnuts, horseradish and feta were an absolute pleasure to my taste buds. Lamb, when cooked right is absolutely delicious and you will miss out if you do not try this dish. The manager Scott checked on my often to make sure everything was great, and I really appreciate this type of service that is not found in most restaurants.Bottom line, if you want amazing pampering, great food and drink, it's hard to miss with the White Bull. The rustic lit dining with white brick on one side and and classic pavers one the other balance out the ambiance of this wonderful restaurant. See my pics. Will be back to try other items on the menu and have more pampering and custom drinks!

Enjoyed this restaurant! Tried to go to one down the street but the wait was too long so ended up here. The wine was amazing, I tried a white recommended by our server Matt. I'm glad I tried something new with food as well, I had the rigatoni and it was well made. The decor was also pretty cool, you can tell things were thought through here. Everyone was friendly as well!

Yiiiikes. I do not get it at all. The good: the host was great. Attentive, when he came by, was a better server than the server. The bad: almost everything else. I do mean everything else. Our server seemed high, which is cool if you can get the job done but... (and please keep in mind there were appx. four servers for maybe six tables) He was missing and impossible to flag down. How much was him, how much other people? I don't know. Forgotten drinks, forgotten silverware, coming back to say an entree is off. It was literally a joke for a bill over $200 for 2. The food was...fine, maybe? You can tell there's something there, but it wasn't working when we visited. The crudo was just large chunks of raw fish (good fish) with little seasoning or thought at all. It desperately needed acid and a reason to exist. The bread--which you pay like ten bucks for--was a hunk of "lonely person bread baking during Covid" with unseasoned (i guess maybe "house churned") butter. It wasn't "bad" but it also made me want to Hemingway myself because it just shouldn't exist. It had no love or meaning. I could give you a roll from publix and you'd be happier. Mussels could have been a good dish but the broth, which was legitimately good, was barely there, and the flat bread that came with it was charred to hell and awful. Pasta took forever, and, again, getting drinks in between was impossible. (A couple next to us left immediately after being seated, so who knows what happened there, but seems consistent with our experience.) it was fine? The vegetarian option was at least flavorful...rocked on the first bite, especially after the parade of misery before it, but on subsequent trial seemed a bit lemon forward? If only that was the only complaint. The rabbit gnocchi sounded great, but i was told after ordering i missed the call. Usually would be auspicious for an attentive kitchen...alas...i ordered the pasta with pickled red onions because im a sucker for those. I received a pasta without those, then was subject to gaslighting telling me it's sometimes hard to see pickled red onions. They eventually brought me out a side so that i could add it myself ("the sous chef sometimes forgets"). How generous. Even with that acid the pasta desperately needed it was irredeemably "spiced", with whatever the chef calls Mediterranean. (Again, i see a there, there. The pasta was good and i get how the labneh could play with pickled onion and more delicate seasoning....it just was t there AT ALL.)This place was like paying a quarter of a grand to get kicked in the nuts.

I stopped here for happy hour and loved my meal. They have a variety of $14 pastas and $10 toasts as part of the happy hour which is a heavier option for HH but great if you're trying to go for your dinner. I got the carbonara and a spritz and really enjoyed both. I would love to go back for dinner and get the full experience.

It's hard to spit anywhere in Decatur without hitting a solid restaurant. On nearly every block, there seems to be another restaurant offering up fantastic plates of food. But when I offered to treat my best friend to a birthday dinner, White Bull was one of her top choices so I was eager to find out why. Making a reservation is a cinch through OpenTable, and you can reserve both dining times and location (either indoors or in their beautiful covered outdoor space). If the weather is mild, dining out on the backspace is a fine option. Service is excellent here. We first found this out when we were seated at an outdoor table and my friend was hit with a sudden wave of allergies. Our server uncomplainingly moved us to an indoor spot, which turned out to be just as fine because the restaurant is so cozy and intimate. Our server swung by our table the exact right number of times to take orders, bus empty plates, and offer trustworthy recommendations when we became indecisive about our order. Best yet, no one here seemed to bat an eye when I inquired about their gluten-free options. Our server kindly went so far as to mark up my menu to clarify safe choices and possible substitutions. The bread and butter appetizer is clearly a hit here. I spotted one of these boards on every single table around us, and I was positively salivating as I listened to the satisfying crunch coming from our little bread loaf as my friend sliced into one. The fried potato wedge appetizer was cooked to perfection, with crispy edges and a pillowy inside. The sauce poured atop them had a slightly bitter aftertaste, but the texture of this dish made up for it in spades. The gluten-free pasta is excellent, and I love that it can be substituted for most of their pasta dishes.

The White Bull is a super cute spot especially for date night. There is a small lot out front, but you may have to street park. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Their menu changes on a regular basis so you're almost always guaranteed a new experience every time. Unfortunately the lighting is less than ideal in the back of the restaurant meaning the pictures don't do the food justice. Definitely give it a shot!

Overall underwhelming experience Service was fair. We went on a Wednesday night. The entire indoor dining was empty but us. However, they were diners out in the back patio. Food: overall salty. Bread was the highlight of the meal. Mussels had sands in a few of them. Sweet potato gnocchi was very salty. Based on the price, we thought the food could be better. Missing some freshness in the dishes to cut down the grease. With this price range, we won't be back.
