These battered, deep-fried dollops of cheese curd and jalapeo bits might be the tastiest balls you ever put in your mouth. Served with jalapeo ranch for dipping, this bounty of balls is perfect for sharing.
A big ol plate full of french fries (or tots) topped with our homemade white sausage gravy, shredded cheese and crumbled bacon bits. If you ask a Canadian theyll say we wrecked their poutine, but we actually turned it into some real Southern kick-ass!
We fill a flour tortilla with macaroni n cheese and barbecued pulled pork and wrap it up like a burrito. Then we deep-fry it, slice it into four pieces, top it with a drizzle of our famous cheesy-cheese goo and serve it with a side of spicy honey BBQ sauce. Its like a whole damn barbecue is happening inside your mouth.

The food was great. I had the guacamole burger cooked medium and it was amazing. Fries were hot and crispy. Waitress was very nice. Food was out fast. Place was clean. Had a great experience. The rules that they had on the menu was a little over the top. Felt like I was getting lectured for no reason. I know to tip and all the extra stuff they listed.. Don't necessarily need to be told to do it. Just gave bad vibes reading the rules blurb on the menu. Otherwise everything was good. 5/5.

When friends come into town, if we want large portions, cheap liquor, and a fun ambiance, I take them to Vortex. The original location is on Moreland, but the Peachtree location is close to my place so it's fun to walk over for a bite or to have a drink (or 3 lol) I've typically had good service, but it can be slow and they definitely don't pride themselves on being friendly lol the inside has a very retro grunge vibe - everything from skeletons riding Harley's to a massive pen** inside next to the entrance (decor like this may be something to note if you're considering bringing kids!) The menu is massive and there's a tonnnn of fun different burger options. Sometimes the toppings are so abundant that I can't fit the burger in my mouth lol their chili is fabulous and a great quick bite to go as well.

Sitting at the bar was just fine. I had no problems with the bartender. It was the food. I ordered a regular cheeseburger medium well, which came out very rare. They took it back, and when they served it again, it seemed like they had just given me the same burger. After two tries, I had the server take it off my tab. The decor seems unique until you walk to the bathroom and see the devil signs down the hallways. Decor suggests that's why you have to be 21+ to enter.

Came about an hour before closing and the service was still great! The place has a cool night time vibe with unique and eclectic style. They have music playing but it's not too loud or overwhelming. As far as food goes I think it was great. I got the bbq Mac and cheese burger with fries, along with the sump n fruity drink. Burger tasted fresh and fries were delicious. I also loved their ranch and honey mustard. My drink was sweet and tasty just like a jelly rancher or nerds. I think this is a nice spot to hang out with friends after a late night.

The Vortex is definitely an Atlanta staple. Great drinks, yummy food and a crazy cool atmosphere! It is a bummer that they use Morningstar patties for their veggie burger though. Sometimes the food can be greasy but sometimes that's what the drinks need!

The second time here, but my first review. I first came here in 2019. It still looks like I remember it. It's a small restaurant in the mid-town area. We actually came here early in the day. It was completely empty and quiet. We didn't order any food, just sat at the bar and had some beer. I had the Apple Cobbler. Their beer sizes are huge. I ordered the small, and the beer looked like a large. The bartenders were friendly. The restrooms and restaurant were clean (since it was early, I'm sure, lol). You'll love the atmosphere.

This place is legit! I was killing some time downtown and stopped by The Vortex. The inside was dark and decorated with all sorts of crazy memorabilia. I actually decided to sit outside, so I could people watch. If you sit outside, just be warned that your service might be a bit slower.As for food, their menu looked inside. They had a ton of interesting burger options, but I went for the 50/50 Chili (half beef, half turkey). The chili had a nice flavor to it and it came with some kind of cornbread on the side. Solid spot!

My husband made us stop here one night coming back from six flags. Wasn't sure what to expect. I thought it was just your typical bar but I was shocked and surprised. The service was outstanding. Such a friendly and upbeat staff. It was also nice to see that they broke out of the norm and had staff of all genders and shapes and sizes. Inside was amazing. Pretty cool vibe. Definitely an eclectic place. Food was no where near your typical bar food. Wow was it amazing. So delicious. The burger packed a punch of many flavors and was so juicy and savory. Will definitely be back.

This is the ultimate burger destination- endless options and if you can't decide on a premade option you can make your own! Came here during lunchtime with a group of 12 and they quickly accommodated us and provided excellent service without any issues. The cups that the drinks come in as well as the burgers are huge ...so def come hungry and come thirsty!!!
