I was a little skeptical!! Because the reviews weren't so positive! But I'm so glad I gave this gem a chance. The vibe is very much lit and turn up. They had a DJ. We were there on a Sunday and it was packed. The service was good. A little slow and we had to remind the server of a couple of things. They wrote super busy! Our food and drinks were soooo good! It came out hot and fresh. I was impressed. The place is small and I definitely see them outgrowing this spot! They have the best yams that I have ever tasted from a restaurant! Everything was so good'

I was a little skeptical going here because of some of the reviews...but glad I didn't listen to the folks! Now one thing they did get right is the parking..it is limited. However we went when it opened and had no issues parking. We we greeted when we walked in. They had the trap music playing. It kind of gave me "locker room" vibes. Our waitress was Cynthia and she was amazing. She gave me background on how this started off as a food truck in 2019. She recommended great things on the menu. We had a Appetizer platter with sliders (spicyyyy), good egg rolls, and boneless wings. We shared the catfish and shrimp and grits because we were already full. Now these frozen sidecars yall with a extra shot of Henn got me. I start sweating and had to take a 15 minute nap in the car before my ride back to Katy. I think I may leave out the extra shot next time. Lol. I hear that Sunday is the busy day of them all. It's not a big spot..so plan accordingly. If ever by OST..give this place a try!

Small portions, $20 up charge on ticket and server says it doesn't go to her????? Mediocre food @ best? Had oxtail sliders and NO. It's missing something, my friend had waffle burger sliders and absolutely not. The whole conception does not compliment each other. We paid $74 for not so good food and 1 alcoholic drink! $74 for a place connected to a gas station on OST?????? I'm kinda upset and should've left before placing an order. DJs music is excellent but other than that..........

Completely disgusting. Service and welcome started out fine but when it came to ordering the drinks and food it was downhill from there. Ordered a flight and one of the drink machines was out of order. The pay system was on the fritz and before we could even place an order, there was no dirty rice. When I got my shrimp and lobster, the lobster smelled so bad the entire table almost puked. IT was so spoiled it smelled like it was pulled from the bottom of a garbage can. There were only like six other people in the entire restaurant and it took my wife darn near 45 minutes to get a simple order of wings. I'M DONE!!!! Every single time I go in to support "black business" either the food is horrible, the service is terrible, you're overcharged, etc. this is literally the fourth black business in a row( I'm not even in the mood to start naming them all) that I tried to support and the quality of food or service has been horrendous. I couldn't make this up if I tried. SMH. I'm simply stating facts. I'm NOT speaking for all black businesses but if the shoe fits you know exactly who you are and you need to take more pride in your business operations. Thanks but no thanks. I'm good. I'll take my hard earned money back to the woodlands, galleria, etc.

@mysouthernbrand brought me hereI was pleasantly surprised because some of his recommendations are hit and miss/have mixed reviews. When I looked up The Ultimate Kitchen they had an overall four star review which is solid in my book. Food looks good not only on IG but from customers' reviews who posted pics. ENVIRONMENT/AMBIANCERestaurant is adjacent to a gas station/convenience store on the corner. Restaurant is small. I definitely suggest getting there early especially if coming with a group. I dined solo so I was sat quickly at the bar. By noon the place was to capacity and I started to see a couple of groups waiting outside to get in. One of those groups were able to sit at the bar. The restaurant is HOT. I can only imagine how it would get at 3pm in the afternoon because I came a little after 11am. Luckily my bartender/waitress offered me her fan for like the last 15 minutes I was there so that helped. It is also LOUD. Brunch crowd singing at the top of their lungs, others conversing and the DJ has the music cranked high. Music ranged from Lil Wayne and Bobby Valentino's Mrs. Officer to Drake's Treacherous Twin to a splash of Caribbean. It was kind of all over the place and then he would mix the song early so you would only hear maybe a minute if that of the songs you liked. DJ was also smoking hookah. Not sure if that was his personal hookah he brought or if restaurant serves hookah because he was the only one I saw smoking hookah. PARKINGLimited. When I called to ask about parking I was told they have their own lot which is true (shared with the gas station/convenience store) and I was also told you could park next door. However next door is a storage facility. Although I didn't see towing signs or parking for Cube storage only I was leery to park over there. CUSTOMER SERVICEWhat made me actually choose to come here aside from @mysouthernbrand was calling the restaurant to find out about waiting and parking and THEY ANSWERED by second ring. I was pleasantly surprised only because some restaurants will have one or two numbers posted and never answer. A guy picked up the phone and was very nice, answered my questions and his background was quiet. That alone told me this restaursnt would be organized and a good experience. DRINKSI highly recommend the Frozen Flight. It's a $25 tray of 3 oz (I am estimating) shot glasses with frozen drinks. It's like a sample and all four of the drinks were good. I am so glad I got this. I had my eye on Tiger Flight but my bartender guided me to Frozen Flight. FOODI got the chicken and waffles and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. Loved them both. My bartender/waitress told me to get the chicken and waffles or the fish and shrimp with grits. I'll try the latter next time. But I am so glad I got the chicken and waffles. The waffles were hot, topped with powdered sugar and served with syrup on the side. It's a huge waffle, fluffy. You get five hot juicy pieces of fried chicken wings fried to perfection. I haven't had chicken wings that tasted THAT good since I vacationed in St Kitts and went to a place called Bobsy's Wings (best wings on that island). I would definitely go back for those chicken wings and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls which stayed crispy even after I refrigerated them and reheated them. I was surprised. Love the filling too. Stuffed with meat and perfect amount of cheese and a touch of green peppers. I want to try their flavored wings next time: my bartender recommended hot lemon pepper and the ultimate sauce wings. BARTENDER/WAITRESSShout out Amira! She was great. Took good care of me and gave me great recommendations! Also took the time to explain everything: the menu, how to order, how to pay which is open tab, and automatic gratuity 20% included. Thank you! I am not a fan of restaurants that charge automatic gratuity but she gave good service. HOURSFYI this is a weekend only restaurant Friday-Sunday and it isn't late night. They close at 7pm. Definitely worth trying and supporting. Just come prepared to be in a loud and hot environment, talking over each other and packed tight like sardines. Come early for best experience!

Great vibe. Great service with Cynthia! She catered to our needs and made sure we had an amazing time. Music is good and the food is even better! We enjoyed all the egg rolls on the menu with salmon bites, hot lemon pepper wings, fries and a side of greens. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!! Thanks y'all for the great vibes, service and food!

Brunch with the first ladies. Small place but very nice workers. Everyone was so friendly. Ebony, our waitress was very attentive and kept our water carafe filled. The music was fiya! The dj came around 12 noon and was playing old R&B. He had us all singing Tevin Campbell-Can we talk amongst other songs. The vibe was hitting! My cousin and I will be returning without our moms. Not that they can't come, because that's where we got our litness from. Lol!

Chill vibe almost any day of the week. Everyday is like Sunday Funday. Live DJ, the wings are HUGE and worth the $$. Music genre: Hip HopHookahs available. Bar tender is really nice and came by to make sure we were satisfied with our drinks. Will be back!
