This is solely based off customer service. This used to be one of my favorite places to go especially for happy hour, but this place has lost my respect and also has lost my business. I'm sure that means absolutely nothing to the owner or the manager but I'm gonna share my experience anyway. Been coming here for years. Prefer the memorial city location over any other because the others aren't as good. So apparently a new dress code has been implemented that I had no knowledge of. I literally got a pedicure today and walked in with thong flip flops on to sit at the bar and have a quick drink and was quickly chased down by a hostess who told me I couldn't be in the restaurant due to my shoes being flip-flops. I told her just bring a manager because you can't be serious. I've never heard of this before. So the manager says this is a new thing that they implemented a few weeks ago. I literally said I'm here to have one drink sit at the bar he told me I wasn't gonna be able to do that unless I change my shoes. He said for anyone to wear flip-flops in the restaurant the flip-flops have to have a strap in the back. Saw women who were in the restaurant who were wearing flip flops that did not have straps in the back. I told him I was gonna go around and take photos of it and he told me I wasn't allowed to do that and that he was going to security on me and have me removed. I told him that that was fine and I went and I did my lap and took pictures of people who did not have a strap on the back. I told him if I were wearing designer, flip-flops or if I were wearing sandals that had rhinestones on it you guys wouldn't say anything but because they are Old Navy you have a problem with it. He told me we must've let some people slip through the cracks, which is BS. If you're saying a shoe needs to have a strap on the back then be consistent if you're saying, you can wear sandals and flip-flops as long as they dressy and have a design to it, that's a different story as well. I told him well the right thing to do would be to say I understand this is new and you can go ahead and have a seat and have your drink, but he told me he can't bend the rules for me that if he does it for me that he hast to do it for everyone. Just complete and utter BS. I'm driving from the other side of town and I literally have no other shoes to put on I had sneakers in the car but again I had a pedicure. My toes were wet so I'm not gonna put those on people need to realize they need to be accommodating especially for people who have nothing but loyal service. Maybe one day I'll come back but for now I am extremely pissed off. I have called the GM and hopefully he will give me a call back if he doesn't I definitely understand that this business couldn't care less about customer service.

There is nothing more that I love more than great customer service and great food!! However, there is nothing more that I hate more than a 20% charge on my ticket. Even if I just have that wonderful blueberry and cucumber martini!! What's up with that? The Sugar Land location does not do this.Anyway. . .my server was great and the outdoor area is such a vibe! Having a drink and watching my kids stay busy in the green space was such a great thing to do on a random Thursday afternoon. If you want good oysters. . .COME HERE! Their seafood is always a delight. If you are in the area, not allergic to shellfish and love some good food. . .you should try Rouxpour!

I hadn't been here in a while and I feel like the vibe was different. Definitely felt fancier and less fried food options on the menu. My drink, Expresso Martini, was sweeter than most I've had but it was still good. The oysters were delicious and she offered more bread as it comes with a small amount. The waitress was very helpful with my questions and we settled on the special of the night. Sea bass with shrimp and crab and a mushroom risotto. The fish could have been seared a little better on the outside but overall the flavors were good.

Took my husband on Easter Sunday for his birthday brunch and I had no complaints! Geronimo answered when I called ahead of getting there and he put me down for a table in the dining room, which was ready to go when we got there! Our party of 8 enjoyed their food, the cranberry/pineapple mimosa was ON POINT and Allen brought out a dessert for my husband We topped the visit off with family photos in front of their hedge backdrop!

Entrees were excellent. Appetizers and dessert were only average. Service was great - don't appreciate a standard service percentage being added automatically. Indoor ambiance is good for a location associated so closely with a mall... definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and craving Cajun/seafood.

Excellence at its best! People who know me know that I loves me some seafood. Boiled Crawfish is my first love, Shrimp, and then Chargrilled Oysters. Since I visited Neyows in New Orleans some years ago, I'm hooked. I used to frequently go to the Rouxpour Sugarland location, and I loved it until I just got tired of all of their food and drink inconsistencies amongst other changes over the years. I divorced them in April of 2023. Enough about that location. Memorial City is the location that I patronize now! I usually order the same items, which are the dozen Oyster's Bienville, a cup of Seafood Gumbo, and the delectable Crabcake. I have yet to be disappointed about the food or the service that I receive there. I would like to shout out two of their servers- Sebastian C and Allen V. Their service was empathetic, and they definitely went the extra mile to satisfy our appetites.

I ordered the crab and asparagus appetizerand from the Oytser bar ordered the chargrilled Rockefeller, and another appetizer, the Tan"s Ahi Tuna Stack. All three were amazing.!! I highly recommend trying the new appetizers on the menu. I couldn't take a picture of the other two because I ate them too fast but the third appetizer was my third course was the Tuna Stack and I was able to take a photo of that. Happiness is all I can say!!!

Indulging in brunch at The Rouxpour was an experience that transcended mere satisfaction--it was an adventure of taste and flavors. From the moment we poured out the cranberry mimosa carafe, sparking a delightful start to our meal, to the very last bite, every moment was a celebration of culinary excellence.Let's start with the Pain Perdu & Fried Chicken--a symphony of textures and tastes. The crisp, golden French toast slices adorned with crispy fried chicken and bacon were a masterpiece on their own. But what elevated it to sheer brilliance was the praline sauce--its sweet, nutty essence harmonizing perfectly with the savory crunch of the chicken. The fresh fruit on the side provided a refreshing balance that danced on the palate, leaving an unforgettable impression that lingered hours after the meal.My husband's choice, the French Quarter Fried Eggs & Boudin, was a revelation of Cajun flavors. A bed of Cajun cornbread topped with blackened boudin and crowned with two perfectly fried eggs, all smothered generously with crawfish étouffée. The flavors were not just robust; they were an orchestra of spices and textures that tantalized our taste buds. Each bite revealed layers of rich, savory goodness, leaving us absolutely enchanted. It's impossible to pick a favorite between these two culinary wonders. Each dish had its own personality, its own story to tell, and both left us in awe. Paired with the warm ambiance and attentive service, this brunch experience was nothing short of magical. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an exceptional brunch journey that tantalizes the senses and leaves you craving more.

Great gumbo, one of best in Houston - A must to get!Menu has been reduced, no more sautéed crab claws :( the white wine is room temperature and not chilled. ;( no house wine on happy hour even know it's on the menu.Great place just had to significantly increase the prices and reduce food options.

I came here as part of a work event that rented out their private space. Staff was really professional, friendly, and attentive. They had organized a pre-selection of cocktails and apps, all of which were delicious - these were some serious appetizers! Really good, hearty, and generous in portion. Everyone had a great time. Certainly is a place I need to come back to on my own/with a smaller group so I can experience their regular menu. Attached to Memorial City Mall near the ice skating rink - plenty of parking in the general mall lots.
