The Original Connie's Seafood Market & Restaurant

I've been going here for years and never had a bad meal. I especially like the shrimp fried rice. The service is always spot on and they've managed to stay very family affordable while other places have become unaffordable.

If your stomach is growling louder than a bear in hibernation and you find yourself wandering near Connie's in Houston, waltz in and demand the fried tilapia. While you're at it, why not challenge yourself to a duel with the entire menu? Conquer it, and then roll on back to Yelp to sing my praises. Trust me, your taste buds will want to build a shrine in my honor!

This place is very busy, but affordable prices for the most part. Also the service was pretty good and the people were friendly, the food was OK. The rice came out cold. Other than that It was all right. Now the fish was fire can't complain about that, and It was fresh and good.

Connie's is so fire! Very fresh seafood here at this particular location. Wonderful service, I enjoy the grilled shrimp plate with the shrimp fried rice on the side. They offer family meals as well with a fair price. I also enjoy the fried shrimp plate that's usually one of my go to meals here. The atmosphere will come off as busy because they typically are, but you don't wait too long and if you do have to wait it's definitely worth your while. They have some fun sea themed decor around the restaurant. If you like fresh seafood stop by Connie's and give them a try. It's also conveniently located near 610 N Loop.

Okay Yelp family! You steered me right! I was headed to a class (for work) in the area and I was desperately searching for something in the area. I wasn't getting a ton of hits, but this one looked good!I came with a group of coworkers, all who have never been either. The restaurant is huge inside! Although the server didn't speak much English, it all worked out. I ordered fried fish with a side salad and friend. My friend ordered the fish sandwich, we had the stuffed jalapeños and my friend had the seafood soup. No one was disappointed, in fact everyone LOVED everything! We noticed that their rice had to be an excellent choice because we saw brought out to so many tables. Lots of parking. Catty corner to the Farmers Market you can't miss it.

The place was packed and right across the street from the Farmers Market so my family and I decided to stop in for a quick bite. The food came quickly to our table, it was delicious, however myself and the four other people in my party got sick right after our visit. We had stuffed crab, raw oysters, fried fish and egg rolls.

I chose a filet of steamed fish with garlic. It was pretty tasty. You get to choose two among fries, salad and shrimp friend rice. I chose the latter two. The salad is very simple and you don't have a choice of dressing. You get a fattening ranch dressing. The restaurant is spacious. It's too bad that the limeade is from a machine. The fried rice was really good and the bread roll too.

Nice little restaurant we found while visiting in Houston Texas. We had very good service. We seated ourselves and did not have a long wait time before being waited on. The menu has options of specials or you can select combinations. Prices are average. The food came out in a decent amount of time. There is music in the background is Latino that adds a nice touch. The food was excellent with good portions. The fried rice was amazing. I had the fried catfish, it was very good. You get a choice to have it cooked in cornmeal or flour. The salad was fresh and tasty! Parking is great. We would definitely come back

Love Connie's seafood! Ordered pan grilled Jumbo Shrimp, fried Jumbo shrimp and chicken fried rice!! Everything was so good and portions were huge!! Our server was great...she came by to check on us several times to see if we needed anything. They were very busy, but the noise level was not too bad. Definitely would recommend!!!

I really enjoy the whole fried snapper. It comes with choice of two sides. Usually I do the rice and salad but I'm trying to cut my carbs . I have ordered here at least 3 times on Uber Eats. Most of the time I would say you get a good sized snapper with this order. The coating is nice and crispy and juicy fish on inside. Our most recent order, however, the fish was a little small and fried too hard. But for the most part, they have a good record with me. FYI: if the fish isn't sticking out of the box like these here, it too small!
