The Nickel

We had an amazing Father's Day brunch. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and one of the best brunches we've had in a long time. We also appreciated the vibe as it was welcoming and a great place to have a conversation as it wasn't loud. Best breakfast burrito and the cappuccino was fantastic!We'll definitely come back next time we're in Denver.

This is in the hotel Teatro, which is where I stayed during my trip to Denver, CO. It had good reviews on Yelp. So, I had to check it out. If you stay at the hotel, they give you these $10 vouchers to dine at the Nickel, depending on how many days you stay at the place. Great technique to have you eat from their restaurant. I tried a few items from their breakfast or brunch menu during my stay at the hotel. The seasonal toaster strudel was enjoyable, but the nickel salad was just alright. Nothing was amazing here. The service was just average, too. It could've been better.

I really enjoy this restaurant because of the comfortable atmosphere, great wait staff, and of course the quality of the food.We enjoyed several breakfast options including a mix of sides. I ventured to try the peanut butter banana and bacon oatmeal - very tasty.The charcuterie board and beet salad were also very good for a light lunch.I was celebrating my birthday and our waitress surprised me with a delicious pumpkin filled pastry - so unexpected but certainly appreciated and enjoyed!

Was a pleasant surprise! I haven't been to the Nickel in a very long time but I am glad I decided to give it another try. It's located inside hotel Teatro, and within the walking distance from DPAC.Great menu that has tons of different options for everyone. My salmon salad was absolutely delicious: super fresh and perfectly seasoned. Drinks were really good as well. I definitely recommend checking it out if you are in downtown Denver.

wonderful service and nice bar atmosphere...although not too busy as the whole of Denver is at an Avs game.the steak was delicious and perfectly cooked with vegetables and a purple potato puree. Paired perfectly with a delicious glass of Chianti.A nice sorbet was the perfect ending. Definitely would come back.

We stayed at this Hotel while in Denver so naturally we had breakfast at The Nickel. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. My favorite items from the menu were the French Toast and the Bacon. We also tried the omelette and burrito which were good. Coffee is excellent as well.

Nickel has one thing that nobody else has that I know of. Pecan Bourbon French Toast Casserole! This killer casserole is creamy. No need for syrup! What else? That crunch courtesy of some candied pecans is undeniably unique and so divine! I can't stop eating! Pair it with some crunchy bacon and leave with a smile on your face and a memory of this French toast casserole seared in your mind forever!

I stayed at this hotel earlier this month and just wanted something easy for breakfast so I figured why not try out the hotel restaurant. The servers there were super nice and it wasn't busy so they were always on top of getting me anything I needed. They made me a vanilla latte that was so good I even got another one to go. The breakfast menu was interesting and I wasn't feeling too adventurous so I went with standard breakfast which was good. I had no complaints!

I stayed at the Teatro hotel for a conference and The Nickel is located in the hotel. We stopped in for a cocktail prior to our company dinner and the bartender was amazing! Very engaging, new his business and very well trained in the arts. He had a special book of cocktail recipes he is developing and we worked on one together. Ask for the Elmer Fudd, you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is very classy, and quiet. We also had breakfast and it was outstanding!

Have been doing a lot in DCPA this year and trying new restaurants nearby. Have been totally disappointed with all of them except, Nickel. Nickel has not failed to please, twice. One of the best burgers I've ever had. I ordered the "Arline" chicken the second visit, it was perfectly cooked with a salty, deep brown skin accompanied by a caper sauce, not too rich or, thin. There's a touch of whimsy to the plate, several fresh, multi-colored carrots (orange, purée le and blue!), how fun was that! The fries with the burger are fried twice leaving them brown and extra crispy. My friend had an "Impossible" burger, the best he's had as well. Afterwards, the brownie, perfectly baked with crunchy crust and a perfect, gooey center. It comes with homemade vanilla ice cream. I have one regret and one complaint. Will not share my brownie ever again! The salads are ginormous, could not take what was left with me. I do not know how someone could eat the entire thing (and have room for the brownie afterwards!). Seriously, it must be for sharing. Will ask for less the next time.Service was excellent, noise not an issue at all.
