We visited on a Wednesday night, early April. Business was good, with big, loud groups inside and outside. The first impression is "Huge Sports Bar", as an interior wall stretching across the room features end-to-end TVs. We liked the vibe - very loud, happy, busy crowd. Not so great was our outside table, placed directly under a loud speaker. We did enjoy their playlist, but missed being able to talk to each other, or hear the servers.Service here is excellent - amazingly fast. The different young ladies that took our orders returned with drinks, apps, and entrees literally just a few minutes after ordering. Impressive! The food...not so much. Call this menu New American with a sports bar twist. The crab and crawfish cake is dense with filler, with no discernable crab bits. The fries, requested crispy, were limp and a little greasy. Better was the coconut shrimp - smallish shrimp but a great batter and dipping sauce. The pulled pork tacos were very good, and a very large serving of three for $14.Prices here are fair to high. High for Montgomery County, fair for a place on the water.Every outdoor table features an ashtray. We'll see if smokers turn the outside deck into a smokers' lounge.Signs state that lunch and brunch menus are coming soon. We'll be back to try those and hope for the same quality of service, maybe try a few different items from their menu.

We were a group of 12 yesterday evening at The Moonshiners On The Lake. The hostess was great at getting a table put together for us with only a short wait. The drinks & food were just fine and Emily did a great job taking care of us. The only CON was the noise level!! As soon as you entered the building the noise was deafening. And it wasn't discernable as music but just really loud bass booming away. It was so extremely LOUD also in the dining room that one member of the group who has hearing issues had to leave. It was very difficult to have any conversation at the table without YELLING at each other. When Emily came to take our food orders she had to wait until the young woman performing paused so she could hear our orders. The performer had her amplifiers tuned so loud you couldn't hear her voice at all. Sometimes I think some performers use loud amps to cover for their lack of talent. I don't know if this was true in this case because you couldn't hear her. And yes, we asked if the volume could be turned down without success. Next time we go (if we do) if the noise level is still so loud we will ask to be seated outside or we'll leave and go somewhere else.

Fun new place on Lake Conroe! Giving it 5 stars because it's doing a great job of being what it is - a sports bar/casual restaurant. Don't expect fancy. Boat docks, outdoor patio, restaurant area, bar area with TVs and games. Very fun atmosphere. Service was fantastic. Catherine was very attentive and engaging. She took care of everything we needed. It was clear watching other servers that they were on top of their game as well. Limited wine and cocktail menu, but we enjoyed it. Menu had a variety of choices - and the food was really good. We had tomato soup, smothered chicken, and coconut shrimp - all of which we would order again! Oh - and dessert!! Vanilla butter cake! Yummy! So sweet we needed the whipped cream to tone it down. But worth every bite! Definitely recommend you give this spot a try!

Coconut shrimp were very small but good. Side salad.. meh. Patio was nice. The waitresses was phenomenal! If you go make sure you ask for Sunny. She's great. I do wish they had some "milder" cocktails on the menu. I'm not hardcore and would appreciate maybe a lemon drop martini or daiquiri. I'll be back

They will work their way to a 5, I really believe this. I've been several times and will continue to go back. The waitstaff, ambiance, way management solves issues (bought us a round of drinks one night when they were short staffed even though we hadn't complained at all) are all top-notch. Here's what I've had:Coconut shrimp- very goodVanilla butter cake - absolutely amazing...seriously could eat it dailyBurger- my husband says it's one of the best he's hadCrab/crawfish cake- not a fan, too much bread and fishyShrimp pasta - I didn't love it, but my friend had it and added crushed red pepper and loved it. I may have just had it on a bland nightSpinach artichoke dip- fantasticPretzels - I am not usually a fan, but these are to die for. They are very light, not a typical dense texture for pretzels. They come with cheese which is just fine, but do yourself a favor and order a cup of the tomato basil soup to dip them in. You won't be sorry. Shrimp tacos - really tastyI'll definitely be back to work through the rest of the menu and try brunch!

Really enjoyed the food here. The Cajun and Tuscan Chicken dishes were on point. The menu had a good variety of choices. Our server Cassidy was very attentive. Just the right amount of attention. This will be a great place for lunch or dinner while hanging out on the lake. Plenty of parking for your car and boat slips if you choose to arrive via the water.Looking forward to hanging out on the water this summer.

Katherine (Hi Kat!) was one of the best servers we've had in the greater Houston area in quite some time. Top notch, could NOT have been better - and for that alone I give 4 stars.-1 star for cocktails - the bartender CLEARLY has a sweet tooth. Do yourself a favor and ask for any sweetener (agave or simple syrup) on the side. Kat did her best, and it was appreciated.A+ Pretzel appetizer. Could go a little easier on the salt, but it was hot, fresh and delicious. The cheese dip had a lot of flavor without being too heavy which was nice.A+ Fried Mushrooms. Dang. Large, fresh, properly cleaned mushrooms not from frozen and a light crispy batter that stood up to the moisture inherent in fresh mushrooms.B - Coconut shrimp. Yes, it's coconut but there was a marked lack of salt (which isn't on the tables, you have to ask for it) and an abundance of sweetness. A squeeze of lime did wonders.Neutral/C - Blackened chicken pasta. If that's blackened, honey chile, you are from the north (which I am and I STILL blacken harder than that). Lots of garlic, etc. but the dish was on the cold and one-note side, a little 'thick' with sauce.Go visit. It's quieter outside and the lake views are amazing!

This place is the bomb. The wait staff is so sweet, which is going by the wayside at many places now. Very accomodating and quick. The food is the wonderful. Try their Nachos, very different and the plate could feed 3 people easliy. The crab cakes are super moist and tasty. The indoor/outdoor ambiance is awesome. On Sundays, happy hour!!!! Go sit on the lake and enjoy the view and the service and the food! Prices are also reasonable as long as they keep them. Can't lose with this choice
