The Mason Jar Coldspring Cafe Bar & Grill

This is a go to when visiting Cape Royale. Not open on Saturday, but Friday Steak night is legit. Perfectly seasoned and cooked Rib Eye w a great baked potato. The dinner salad was very fresh and delicious as well. All complimented by a nice house marg.

Quaint little place, service was excellent and the food was as well. It's a shame their not open on weekends.

If you want to experience small country town hospitality and good home cooked food, this is the place. We were greeted when we walked in and our waitress was tentative, friendly and hospitable. The ice tea was freshly made and according to my wife the sweet tea was country good. I drink unsweetened. Lol My wife had the Swiss mushroom burger and it had to have almost a 16oz hand made patty on it. And I had the bacon chicken ranch melt. Both were wonderful and one of the things, liked most about the bacon chicken ranch was, the chicken was cut into bite size pieces. Both the burger, melt and fries were flavorful. This will be my go to place when I am in the area.

They have really good food. The only problem for my family is their dining hours. They are not open on the weekend, but if you find yourself in Coldspring on a Monday or Tuesday between 11 and 3pm, or Wednesday thru Friday 11-9 pm, check them out...you won't regret it. They have anything from salads, sandwiches and burgers to fried catfish and chicken fried steak.

I enjoy the daily specials and their burgers and onion rings are the bomb! It's nice to be able to enjoy an adult beverage with your meal.

What a cute place! And everything is bigger in Texas! Loved the food can't wait to come back and try other dishes! I had spinach chicken, cabbage and mashed taters! Yummy hubby ate the Philly potato this is enormous wow he loved it and saved some for later!

Cute little place in town. The food was really good. The inside is fun to look at everything on the walls. My only thing was, we were waiting for our waitress to bring the bill but you just walk up to bar and pay. They also have custom made tumbler cups and some other items for sale. They support our troops there's a little box before walking out to please take a toy soldier to remind you to pray for the men & women of our services. Loved that little touch I got fish & shrimp it was very good but for the price i wish it had more shrimp or another fish fillet . Only came with 2 fish & 4 shrimps. My husband got bbq potato and it was also very good. The brisket had good smoke flavor and was tender. The potato was filling, it took up the entire basket.

Great catfish all you can eat on Thursdays for a reasonable price. Down home country style service and atmosphere. Will be back!

Great fried catfish and chicken fried steak. More than enough food. Great small town feel.
