Of course I had to see what all the hype was about. I had a party of 2 and we arrived around 7:30/8pm on a Friday. The place was still full so while we mulled over the menu, I was staking out a table. We were lucky enough to snag a booth. (You order up front and seat yourself)We ordered 3 different flavors of wings and all were delicious! Also got the loaded fries and those were yummy as well. I can't remember how many wings we got, somewhere around 20. That plus the fries was enough for us ladies to have some leftovers to take home.Parking: small private lot that's a bit tight. There's also some street parking if you don't mind a walk.

These were one of the best wings I've ever had. Super tasty and full of flavor. The meat was very tender as it fell right off the bone. This is a very popular spot so it is important to get there right when they open. Definitely recommend this spot to any wing enthusiasts.

We've been waiting awhile to go to The Local and it's unfortunate they don't allow takeout. But these wings were worth going in person and eating fresh. It was cooked to perfection and I find it hard to find another spot in Atlanta that has as good of wings and sauce. It also seemed like a great spot to hang out as tons of people were around, not even to enjoy the wings!

pulled up around 7:10 pm on a wednesday. had to circle the block to find a parking spot but I got lucky! Grabbed the last seat at the end of the bar (total dive bar vibes but no sticky floors!) it was busy but not like park tavern fifth circle of hell busyYou don't come here for ambiance or easy quick seating, you come for The Wings. Their wings are the best I've ever had in my life, so much so that when they raised the price from $15 to $18 this past year I didn't think twice. Lemon pepper jerk and lemon pepper KBBQ is my go-to order. Also, 6.50 pints of tropicalia! If a friend is willing to split a pitcher, that's also an insane deal. Love this spot, will always come back, SO happy they didn't close last year as announced. They're always busy but the staff is never rude and usually very accommodating! Bartenders always treat me well.

Came to The Local after their renovation! It's now order at the counter vs. table service but honestly prefer that. Coming on a Thursday was our biggest mistake because the ambiance was definitely the post college frat crowd. Definitely avoiding Thursdays here now. It was very packed and no tables were available but we were able to catch some stool seating luckily. We got our orders pretty quickly and food was nice and hot! I did notice the fry portions weren't as big as previously, but no biggie. I got the 10ct wings with lemon pepper buffalo and tikka masala. Lemon pepper buffalo hit as per usual and tikka masala was aight but missing something. My friends got the korean bbq wings and spicy korean bbq wings, but they just were meh imo. They liked it, but it was not giving korean bbq flavor.

So let me just thought about saying that the local has some of the best wings in the A (I say this with confidence and pride). Now I know that's a really good breakfast place Atlanta is really built for lemon pepper wings and things like that. But I have traversed to city many days and nights, and it's definitely top five wings.Let me set the tone for it, it's definitely like a dive bar situation. Dark and a little big grungy but has a very rustic tone to it. Nothing fancy or nothing special about it, it's just a regular old dive bar. You may get shots in a glass are you making shots in a Dixie, is that kind of place. So don't expect fancy fine dining when you come your mind. It is definitely not that kind of vibe. They have a few TVs if you wanted to come for that. They have a small outside so if it's nice, you can sit at the outdoor bar area. If you want to come right after work you may have to wait a little bit cuz they don't know about to 5:00 most days. Some days you can't actually get wings, because they have live entertainment or something going on but you just have to call and see I guess. Food wise, Everything that I have tried. Lemon pepper... Solid. Jerk... Solid. Tika marsala... Solid. Korean BBQ ... Solid. They haven't missed to me yet.Its also to note, that since I wrote this, they underwent some changes to the building so now they are supposed to be better and I cant wait to stop by and find out.

Went here on a Thursday evening with two friends to try the wings. It's a classic dive bar atmosphere and was extremely busy. I ordered the 10 wings half and half with blue cheese and a side of cole slaw. It's a walk up counter style where they call out your order and then you go grab it. It's seat yourself. The seat yourself is chaotic and I wish it was more well organized. People are sitting at the tables for so long after they're done eating and one table even left for awhile to go smoke outside and still kept their table empty despite the large amount of people standing up. Frankly a bit frustrating. The counter service was fast and the guy manning it was the epitome of customer service. Now to the food, the food came out decently fast and hot which was nice. The slaw is a vinegar based one which was a surprise but still provided a nice contrast to the wings. The wing's texture was great and it was literally fall off the bone. The sauces I got were a different story however, the buffalo lemon pepper was too salty but flavor was yummy. The spicy korean bbq tasted strange and it felt like someone thought of the idea of korean bbq but couldn't execute. Overall, it's a solid wing spot. In the future, I might try it naked or some other sauces.

So I heard about this place from a friend, and we decided we would go on a hint for truly the best wings in Atlanta. We were supposed to come here together, but I was in the area on a Saturday and couldn't pass up the chance to get there at opening to try the wings since they sell out. One reviewer said they were sold out after only being open for 45 minutes. So I said friend will just have to understand, or I'll just act like we're both trying it for the first time. Anywho, I pulled into the lot at 5:01pm. They opened at 5, and there were ppl already heading in and folks rushing from the lot. It's definitely a no frills dive bar, but it was clean and a good amount of seating inside and out. There are signs that say they offer full service, I believe at the bar, but otherwise, it's counter, and you seat yourself. The staff that I interacted with were all very nice. The cashier was patient as I asked her a few questions about the flavors and offered recommendations. I decided on the 10pc wing basket split flavor spicy Korean bbq, which was recommended as the best seller and Buffalo/ hot lemon pepper, which is a fave of mine so I used it as a control. The wings came out hot and FAST. I don't think I waited even 10 minutes. I tried the Buffalo lemon pepper first, and they were juicy but not crispy at all. I believe they smoke the wings, so kinda makes sense. The Buffalo sauce wasn't even close to the best Buffalo I tried. The spicy Korean bbq was my favorite of the 2; however, it's not an authentic Korean bbq so don't expect it. Just expect more of a sweet and spicy type situation and you won't be disappointed. As either a hot, lemon pepper and/or hot lemon pepper girl if I were to crave wings this wouldn't be an option at all. Based off the flavorsbibtried and the lack of crispness i cant say theyre the best wings in atlanta but I'd go back to try the wings unsauced and with other flavors. Stick to around to see if they're my first choice when wanting smoked wings.

This place is #1 for wings on my list. There is a line to get in when they open and it's worth it! The boiled peanuts are great. If you are looking for wings you want to go here, you won't regret it.
