I was visiting the area for Memorial Day weekend and my family recommended this place. Let me start with the food. I absolutely loved the food I had the steak and shrimp hibachi grill with vegetables and rice it was so delicious. I ordered the oyster Rockefeller and they were good. I also ordered the fried dumplings and they were good also. The food melted in my mouth. The restaurant itself is a nice chill vibe. The waitress was not so responsive and couldn't remember what drinks we ordered but the overall staff were great and they all pitched in. I ordered a margarita thru did not know what a Cadillac Margarita was nor did they have reposada tequila.I will definitely stop by again for another visit when I am in the area again.

I really wanted to love this place. I'd had the menu pulled up for weeks and was planning to stop by on my next work trip to Goldsboro - so many seemingly flavorful options to try. Unfortunately, I left disappointed. The fried coconut shrimp sounded great but was more breading than shrimp. The shrimp in the hibachi deluxe was better but the chicken was dry and the steak fatty. The sauces helped and were flavorful, but that plate was overpriced at $42. The place was packed when I went in - I ate at the bar and the service was friendly. Live music added to the atmosphere. Portions are generous. I've had some meals where the leftovers are better the next day - this was not one of them. I did offer my bag to a homeless gentleman outside and he turned me down "no thanks, I've got food," he replied. Alas

Oh my gosh. I came to town to go to an ATV park near by. When we got through riding, we decided to clean up and go out to eat. We picked this place because they have an expansive menu. They have so many options of stuff I would actually eat, and I'm super picky. I'm so glad we picked the Laughing Owl!We got there 30 minutes before close. They treated us nicely even though they had to stay late for us. They told us to order appetizers, entrees, and desserts all at once before the kitchen closed. We got the crab rangoon for our appetizer. I would call this crispy wontons, but it's the same thing. They were so good. I definitely recommend. What was even better was my entree. I got the Mongolian beef. It was like candied meat. It was so sweet and so freaking good. I would recommend this over anything else here that I have tried. I got the caramel banana fried cheesecake for dessert. It was good. It wasn't anything to rave about though. We need a place like this where I live, in Charleston, SC. I am not used to a place that serves Asian food and American food. They serve Chinese favorites, hibachi, seafood, steaks, pastas, pretty much everything. It was so good. I definitely think you should come try the Laughing Owl.

We were in the area to meet with a customer who was unable to join us for lunch. His loss. The menu is immense and eclectic. This is a fun place and the service was outstanding. There was one spicy fried rice with shrimp and I had the Asian shrimp and scallops with a side of fried rice and then there was chicken fried rice. All of it was great. The sweet tea was delicious also. Definitely a place I will try to come back to. The menu was intimidating but wow at the delicious choices. This is a trendy modern place in a historic building. The type of place would expect in a college town.

Let's just start with the food was a 3 star experience due to the shrimp in the rice and beef in the Mongolian Beef was very, very well done. But all the food was quite tasty. I would give them 4 stars on flavor. However our server, Mya or Myah, not sure of spelling was awesome. She deserves 5 stars . Very helpful in helping us make our selections and very attentive.

I enjoyed dinner with my family. We were all first time visitors. The music was a vibe. We were also able to enjoy live music as a bonus. The ambience was bright and had a jazz theme. We enjoyed a variety of dumplings, crab rangoons, Mongolian beef, Singapore noodles, and shrimp stir fry. Service was average and without complaints. We also appreciated the convenient location of the restaurant. We will return again soon.

Ordered delivery via Uber Eats tonight while ultra hangry. Luckily I was interrupted and didn't order half of the menu as I surely would have, but here's what I got: An outstanding triple hibachi type dish with a Level 3 spicy option. I'm really chomping on this as I write this: Shrimp, chicken and beef all in equal amounts with bell peppers, onions, zucchini, carrots and a sprinkling of broccoli florets that, I assume, was just the chef showing off because there was already so, so much in here. This I will absolutely order again with simply beef. I'm not insinuating anything was "wrong;" Merely personal preference. The spring rolls had an initial faint whiff, as well as an aftertaste (!) that I haven't "smelled" since nineteen eighty something public school cafeteria. I ate one of the three spring rolls entirely and don't really have any complaints. It wasn't the flavor profile I was expecting however I can't knock them for the memories the oddity provoked. Those crab rangoons though... This is where the one star deduct comes in. There was nothing crab or krab inside and whatever white filling these contained was undoubtedly something that should have been in a donut. It was a super sweet confectionary that was, admittedly tastey, but wasn't crabby nor rangooney. On the flip side, these glorious folks tossed in a side of what appears at first glance to be plain white rice.WRONG. That's some ultra white fried rice, complete with eggs, carrots and peas! That kinda made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside as it was a great surprise and tasted great. This all set me back $38 via Uber Eats, 02/2024. I'm not complaining. The combo with the level 3 sauce thing is where the magic is at. Stop there and you'll be fine. If not, you'll sit here and kick yourself for eating too much like I am.

The drinks are amazing but thats about the only good thing i have to say about it. i personally got the salmon and it was very overcooked and hardly edible and my date got the buffalo ravioli and had food poisoning the next day, she said the ravioli filling tasted burnt and the shrimp with it was hardly cooked, even her salad she said didnt taste fresh and she couldnt finish it. wouldnt recommend this place for the food at all.
