The Fish Spot

Getting to the fish spot will have you thinking your headed in the wrong direction but trust the process you'll get there. We came on a Friday night and there were a bunch of regulars and locals. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. They were very accommodating, great service! The food was a little soggy so I have to give them 3 stars and I wish they had a better sauce selection. If I go back I think I would try a burger or something similar.

Was out fishing at Texas city dike and stopped by to have lunch and ordered a fish poboy . First time trying this place and it didn't disappoint. Very cool location by the water . Will definitely be back again. Clean restaurant and friendly service.

I really like this spot. It is sway from everyone by the water. They have a boat ramp and always have a nice group of friendly people there. They food is good and the drinks are cold.

Nice little place right down the road with some of the best seafood I've ever had. Husband got the fish and shrimp combo and I got the fried oyster basket and both were amazing. Great prices and great staff and will definitely revisit asap.

Good for a hamburger and views of the bay. Staff is awesome and friendly. The spicy burger is must for those that like hot things.

This is a difficult place to review. Understand that it is a local dive which looks on the rough side, so 5 stars here doesn't mean it counts as fine dining, but the food is quite good and service is friendly. The outdoor seating is on a channel where you can watch the shrimp boats and birds and fish, and the odd local can dock their boat and stroll into the restaurant. It's a place where it is interesting to walk around and see what is going on while chatting with your friends and meeting new people.Unfortunately I hear that they will have live music and dancing there by the water, which isn't what we are looking for. Others may enjoy that sort of thing.

Food was great.. a great hole in the wall fishermen hang out.My beautiful mother brought my sister and me here for lunch over Spring Break. She and my brother raved about this place. We tried to visit on a Sunday but it was packed. We tried again on Tuesday (they are closed on Monday), scored a table, and ordered with no wait.

OMGeeeee! The food here is to die for, and the service is what you expect at a home based restaurant that makes you feel at home. I had the meat loaf, thinking that it was going to be tomato sauce. Lo and behold, it wasn't! Which is what I loved the most. It came with a side of mashed potatoes and vegetables. They were all so good. My sister had the catfish and fries, I can't even begin to tell how flavorful it all was. And of course, we drank sweet tea, who can resist. The ambiance is a quaint little place out in the middle of a neighborhood with fishing boats out back. Noisy from all of the people that enjoy their home cooked meals and a little chat before heading back to work. Highly recommend

I ordered ahead of time because I was going to pick up lunch for me and a co-worker and when I got there my order was barely being placed leaving me to wait behind several other orders. Then when I get back to the office with my order it is wrong, I ordered 2 orders of tator tots only got one the other was French fries both looked and tasted as if they had been sitting or recooked. the burger was suppose to have no onion no tomatoes and it did have it, I just pulled it out. The meat on the burger was still red. so needless to say I did not eat my lunch.
