Let me start by saying I may be a little biased, but we have the time of our life here! It was a friend's birthday and whenever I am with this group of friends, we always have a great time.We came to celebrate a friends birthday for brunch and I decided to get the chicken and waffles. Usually, I prefer my chicken waffles to be with a waffle and chicken tenders. However, this one came with wings and in the spirit of having a great time and not making a big deal out of anything I decided to go ahead and have it , and I'm glad I did. The chicken was well seasoned. I had to add absolutely nothing to it and I was very pleasantly surprised that. (still prefer tenders though) We all had ordered separate drinks, but we all were having bottomless mimosas as well so needless to say this was a very exciting party as the time goes.Now for the servers and hookah, this is when the five star treatment comes in our server ( can't remember her name, unfortunately) what is the epitome of what Southern hospitality was? She literally went down the entire menu breaking down every single item, including allergens and asking everybody if they were had any sensitivities to any foods. She gave us a list of her favorite items to her least favorite items with food drinks in the flavors of the hookah, she could see how excited we were to be celebrating my friends birthday and she came with a ball of energy inside her as well. It was so pleasant. We did not even wanna leave. I wish I could remember her name so I could recommend her to anybody that is going to establishment to celebrate any type of birthday or achievement.I will say that the restaurant is small (very small ) but the servers are super accommodating here and because of the space that's given they told us multiple times not to get up to do anything. They will take care of everything for us and we appreciate that so much.

Chicken wasn't cooked enough. We asked for fried hard too. But they came out medium well. It's chicken! Also wasn't seasoned enough I've never drenched my chicken in that much hot sauce in my life! Waffles tasted like it was made in an easy bake oven. Best thing I ordered was french fries. The waiters are stank. So much attitude. It's baffling the lack of professionalism and friendliness?Outside of our waiter who was professional. Not much rapport. Oh and parking is $20 unless you find street parking. Music was good and real loud.

BQE is a cute little spot that when first driving by appears hidden in my opinion because the side is painted with a bright yellow advertisement.... That is what stands out not the name.The service is great. 10 out of 10. Id give the service 5 stars if I could. The service helped bump this review from 2 to 3 stars.BQE was recommend to me by a local and I do not know why. I ordered the 24 hour chicken. Now on the menu it doesn't make mention that you will get chicken wings so I expected something a little different than 4 chicken wings. Had the menu said 24 hour chicken wings I wouldn't have ordered it! So I was disappointed, to say the least when it came out. The menu says substitutions only so I asked if I could substitute the sweet potato puree with Mac and cheese. I was told I could sub with any side except Mac and cheese. I wasn't interested in other sides, so she doubled my greens (which was fine) and I paid for the Mac and cheese.The chicken wings were dry INSIDE AND OUT and had almost no seasoning. I was having to take a drink of water with every bite just to make it through. Did I eat them, absolutely, I was starving and you can't get refunds but they were not good. The greens had a very strong vinegar taste. I realize vinegar is part of the prep but in all the greens I've had I don't ever taste it and especially not to this degree. They almost tasted pickled. The Mac and cheese... don't do it! Dry, no seasoning (like not even salt) and the only cheese you will get is on top. I ordered water and she told me they only had bottled. I should've realized there was a price and I didn't... $4.And as usually with these Atlanta spots that aren't great there is an automatic 20% service charge. A localFriend told me to never go to the places with the service charge because they are never good and that's why they add it because otherwise, servers don't get tipped because the food is bad. I would've tipped her on my own, she wasn't the issue.Food- 1 star Service- 5 stars Should you go? Nah

The ambiance is the general black furniture and walls that I'm not a fan of but is typical of lounges. However, I attended for bday brunch, and I prefer light and brighter decor for a brunch spot. The scene is probably hit or miss because the reviews were great, but when we went it was fairly empty and never filled up. There was also an abundance of knats flying around but it's summer. The DJ did her thing and played good music. Our server kept going MIA but I guess that's a good thing because it saved me from ordering more drinks. I ordered their version of a margarita which was ok, but tasted more like a mimosa. I had the omelette and homefries, both of which were very good! The omelette was flavorful and cheesy. Most people in our party opted for the red velvet chicken and waffles, which they liked. The typical brunch options like the fish and grits were overpriced IMO ($32)Overall there's a lot of brunch options in Atlanta so this spot doesn't make my list. I've been to BQE at night for live music and would do that again. Pros - flavorful food, good musicCons - $20 parking (find street parking), meh decor, overpriced brunch dishes

I was PLEASANTLY surprised with the food here!The vibe is def day party brunch. The music is hip hop and R&B.We sat off to the side at a table. There were groups celebrating birthdays. Our servicer was super sweet and brought our food out quickly. It did take a while for the drinks and the hookah my friends ordered never came.I ordered the red waffle and chicken. It was delicious. Chicken was flavorful and cooked well. Waffle had a tasty glaze. I also ordered the Gouda grits and braised collared greens. The greens were great! A little sweeter than im used to but still cooked well. The grits were good but needed extra cheese.

Went on Saturday they were out of burgers and only about 5 people at the establishment. We didn't order food. The atmosphere and ambiance wasn't appealing for brunch or a major football game.

I love visiting BQE when in town. My waitress was Summer, very welcoming and great southern hospitality!

Came in for brunch and bottomless mimosas!Parking is $20 in the lot attached to the restaurant and they charge a $25 fee for birthday cakes.They also sat us at a conjoined table with people who were not in our party. Food: My turkey burger was BOMB! It was sooo good. A friend also enjoyed the lobster tacos also she expected them to be a bit larger.The wings were not fried well on the chicken and waffles and the mimosas were a bit flat, like they were poured from old bottles of champagne.Overall, there were several things that could've elevated this experience, but the vibes were lit so I'd probably give it a second chance.

This place was upper fun! I was visiting ATL for a graduation and stopped here for brunch and they did NOT disappoint. I was in a large group and our server did very well explaining the menu and answering any questions we had. We all got bottomless mimosas which is severed pre-mixed with whatever juice you want in a pretty large pitcher in my opinion. I ordered the fish and grits and it was BUSSIN!! Ugh! Can't lie tho, I was there to BRUNCH and was killin those mimosas! The music was on point and the DJ even took requests which was pretty cool. ''Twas a rainy day so it was fun to wild out in there. Definitely a lot spot where you can expect good food, service, and vibes. Only thing I didn't like was how close seating seemed to be and the floor felt slippery even in small heels :/

Typical atl restaurant. Overhyped. Food is underwhelming. I received my order thru Uber eats and I don't live far away. My ribs were dry and hard. The mashed potatoes lacked flavor. The egg rolls were stale and boring. They forgot my cheesecake but still charged me and ubereats wouldn't refund me so I'm kind of annoyed I ordered expensive food that was nasty and had to pay for cake I never received. Typical Atlanta restaurant with average boring food cooked with no love and terrible attitudes towards customers for a mistake THEY made. Just make good food if you're gonna charge that much for it. 1/5
