Master Chef winner Christine Ha's restaurant in Houston. Very good food especially the bork belly skewers and theSocial of the day tacos. Brussel sprouts were EXCELLENT too. I sat at the bar and while everyone was nice, the service was really slow. I got my food before my drink. At the bar. Water was not easy to come by either. The location, in a strip mall, was a bit of a bummer but the decor is nice inside. Christine sat at the bar across from me. Cool to see her. Overall pretty good and the food is solid. Just needs a few small improvements.

My brother was visiting Houston and wanted to try this place, so we did. This place is pricey and a little far, so it's never been on my radar to try, even though I love supporting local businesses. Of course, everyone knows about the famous Blind Chef from Master Chef, thus we naturally have higher expectations and all become a Gordon Ramsey when we try establishments such as this. The menu is limited and again, it's pricey. The portion sizes are also small for the price point. Our waitress was friendly and very patient with us. We ordered:Pork Belly Skewers - my brother liked it, but I thought it was meh. It wasn't too flavorful and it was too charred/burnt for me. I wouldn't recommend ordering this. Sticky Wings - THIS WAS THE BEST DISH ORDERED! We all loved it, and the flavor was AMAZING. It's unique, sweet, savory, addicting, and just incredible. The wings were also crispy and fried to perfection. Honestly, if I ever come back, I would probably just order two portions of this for myself. Texas BBQ Brisket Fried Rice - flavorful and tasted great. However, it also tasted extremely greasy to me. I'm not sure I would want to eat the entire thing myself. It's something I would recommend sharing. Crawfish & Garlic Noodles - flavorful, rich, and indeed very buttery like the description states. I also would not recommend eating this entirely by yourself. It tasted very heavy and fattening. Rubbish Apple Pie - based on other reviews, the description of the pie, and the fact that it was from the show, I had REALLY HIGH expectations for this dessert and was honestly looking forward to it. However, it was meh to me. It wasn't amazing or anything too special for me. It wasn't bad, it just tasted like a normal apple pie with maybe some slight ingredient variations. Overall, it was a nice experience and a good foodie adventure. However, I wouldn't want to come back because it's too expensive for the small portions. It's great for date night, though, especially if you want to try something new.

A Vietnamese eatery by chef Christine Ha in Spring Branch Houston. It is great to see this revival of this area. Great service and we enjoyed the food immensely. The garlic wings perfectly seasoned and the salad Shredded cabbage served in a sesame rice cracker bowl with chicken, fresh herbs, roasted peanuts, fried onion, ginger fish sauce vinaigrette was the perfect dish! Perfect for sharing and lots of gluten free options.

Had an early dinner - definitely make a reservation - restaurant quickly fills up. We liked not feeling rushed to eat and run.Waitstaff was very attentive, patient and helpful. Nice drink menu. Grabbed a few appetizers and main dished - shared everything. Portions are perfect size to share. Inside decor is very simple but comfortable. Bar is a nice size if you prefer sitting there, plus they have outside seating with ceiling fans. Parking lot has ample parking

The sides were great - the blistered beans and the Brussels Sprouts were very tasty. We ordered the snapper which was good, but I felt the breading was too thick and a hard kind of crunchy. Something along the lines of a tempura batter would have been better. The breading could've been much lighter and the fish would've really shined through. I felt like the breading overpowered the delicate flavor of the fish. We ordered some shrimp fried rice, which was definitely not anything special. My son had been there previously for dinner and said that the garlic noodles were out of this world as well as the crawfish pasta. He said the shrimp fried rice was disappointing this time- on his previous visit he had really enjoyed it and it had a spicy kick to it . May be back again to try other things on the menu..

As a lover of Xin Chao I was excited to try this new Christine Ha restaurant. The last Blind Goat was disappointing to me so I tried to lower my expectations, but this place met the mark! Parking is easy and ample. Service is efficient and friendly. The space is airy and clean, while simple. In terms of the food, we tried the fish sauce wings which were crispy and flavorful. The only complaint is that we wished there was more for the price! We also tried the pork belly which was good but if you want a bigger portion go to Bellaire or Siu Lap City in Midtown. The pho bone marrow was good as well. My baby loved the crawfish noodles which I thought was the best portion size for the price!

Update April 2024 - Went back for a second time and the service was much better this time. The food was decent (except the crawfish and noodles were a bit too salty) but not something that would make me keep want to going back. Cocktail was decent too. Regardless, it's a cool spot in the neighborhood to go with friends.

We enjoyed our visit to the Blind Goat and are grateful for the opportunity to support this local business. The sticky wings were our favorite of what we tried. The crunchy texture was amazing and we loved the sauce. The only thing is that the meat was a quite pink in each of the wings. It could've used maybe an extra 30-45 seconds in the fryer maybe. The rubbish apple pie a La mode was an interesting concept and we did enjoy the unique spices and Asian twist to this traditional American dessert. I'm glad we tried this, too!Dodge the Beef had its steak cooked perfectly. It lacked seasoning but it may have been intended to be that way? The bread scratched up the roof of our mouths but still a fine dish, probably not something we'd order again

We enjoyed the Blind Goat. I have been a huge fan of Chef Christine and frequented Xin Chao when she was partnered with them. This restaurant did not disappoint. We had the Jungle chicken salad, fried rice, garlic noodles, eggrolls, and the rubbish apple pie. The Jungle salad and the garlic noodles were by far my favorite things. The salad was so fresh and the crunchy sesame rice cracker bowl was the perfect vehicle for the fresh and bright salad.

I love Christine Ha's story and coming here is a no brainer. First, the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and vibrant, a modern upscale take on Vietnamese food. The staff is friendly and very good at explaining dishes. My friend and I started with margaritas, Mom's egg rolls, sticky wings, and the bone marrow pho. The egg rolls have a lovely crunch and the nuoc mam (fish sauce) dip is a great pairing. The sticky wings were crispy even when it had the sticky sauce coating it. The bone marrow pho was a very interesting concept, and it really amazed me how much it tasted like pho with the bean sprouts and herbs. All were great, but be aware of the bone marrow dish not being a real pho soup dish. We had the brisket fried rice and the duck duck noodles for mains. The duck was lovely, nice medium rare cook. The duck fat was just so good, really makes you realize that it's the most flavorful fat of all the meats. The brisket fried rice though was my favorite. Amazing smokey brisket flavor permeated each rice grain. Finally, you can never leave without getting the apple pie. I've had this at her old restaurant of Xin chao and it's just as good here. Really nice savory caramel sauce that goes well with a simple vanilla ice cream and a good apple pie. Can't wait to be back!
