Elcin did so great with our table of 8 ! We were here for an event here in Hollywood FL , We ordered many different plates and sides and Elcin did such a great job.One of the tables had a wiggly leg , she noticed and right away had her team replace the table for us! Before I begin, the service we got from Jose was absolutely 10/10. He handled our requirements with immediacy and the managers, metre's and hostess as well. That being said. Let's begin. The concept of the restaurant says "new american - italian". First of all, in case the owner has some sort of national identity crisis, this is an Argentine resto. More posh sure, but Argentine nonetheless. And if you're argentine just like I am, you'd understand the standards we hold when we go and eat out, and the quality that we look for. We were a party of four. We got the focaccia (8/10), the short rib empanadas (1/10) and then we got a Milamessi (7/10) a Pizza Margherita (6/10) and a beet salad (6/10). We got the empanadas replaced by a cheesecake (8/10) and a chocolate cake (9/10).I come from the same country that Messi is, and that the owner is. I am sure that we can agree and disagree on many things, but the quality of the empanadas for an Argentine place, is just unacceptable.Argentine empanadas are soft, juicy, and flavorful. The short rib empanadas we got were awful: tasteless, dry, and un-argentine. It's basically Columbian ropavieja in an empanada casing. I wouldn't eat this for free, and definitely wouldn't pay 18 dollars for one order. We ordered four, we returned two.We never complained about the food in a restaurant, but we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the empanadas. The truffle mushroom pizza was ok - we weren't expecting it to be a forte per se but this is an argentine restaurant and it's ok but definitely not worth 29 dollars. The beet salad was ok as well. Nothing crazy creative or blown out of the water, but not 21 dollars. The focaccia was very good, but in this restaurant they won't give you a bread basket. I understand that the style of the resto is not oriented towards it, but, again we're in an Argentine resto. That focaccia was very good, but no focaccia is worth 13 dollars. The resto's main buzz element was that Leo Messi went there a couple times, and he has his "Messis' Family Table" properly displayed on a secluded booth. So, I had to try the Milamessi. The chips / french fries were dry and rough to the taste. The quality of the napolitan milanesa (the real name of this dish), was ok but nothing crazy. The milanesa could feed up for two people but not the same about the fries' quantity. Definitely not worth the 48 dollars we paid for. Then, we replaced two out of four empanada orders. Yes, we sent two empanada orders back - this is the first time I do something like this at an Argentine resto. We don't send food back: we clean the plate and never complain. Yes, that's how bad the empanadas were. They replaced our empanadas with a fire roasted cheesecake and a chocolate sin cake. The fire roasted cheesecake was soft to the taste, and the berry compote was the perfect combination. I can't really decide whether this was a regular New York style cheesecake or a Basque one, but then again it was very good, 8/10.The chocolate sin cake came with a vanilla bean ice-cream (the ice-cream was American, not Argentine and there's a strong difference in taste). The chocolate and ice cream combo was really good. 9/10.In total, we spend ~195. That's short of 50 bucks per head.In all honesty, the best asset this place has is the service. In my perspective, if they'd stick to Argentine cuisine instead of pretentious dishes they'd score higher.

Wow! I can't tell you the last time we had this great of a meal with service to match. Jose took such great care of us and answered all our questions, steering us in the right direction as first timers.First, the service was quick and attentive. We walked in at 6:15 and had all our dessert by 7 pm. We got the miami spice menu and tried the tuna tartare and the beef empanadas, both tasty. The chimichurri was amazing. We also split a Caesar salad and margarita pizza. Make sure you try the pizza!!The milamessi was fine, nothing to write home about but the branzino was amazing! And great portion sizes. If you're getting a Negroni get the amalfi one, this was Jose's recommendation and so perfect!

I love Miami Spice because you can try out restaurants that may or may not have been on your radar. I noticed Amali Llama while on my way to dine at another restaurant nearby. Anyway, stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The place is spacious and decorated with a lot of thought. We opted for the short rib empanadas, chicken parmesan sandwich, and chocolate cake for dessert. The empanadas were good, but were dry! They left much to be desired. Even with the chimichurri, the meat was super dry. The sandwich and dessert were just okay, nothing to write home about. I probably will try this place again, outside of Miami Spice, just to give it a fair try.

We were here a couple of months ago for Miami Spice. Honestly, we've been here before for happy hour but there are so many Italian restaurants in Miami I thought it was another one. So when I saw it in Miami Spice I thought this was a good moment to try it! We got there around 3.15 for the Miami Spice Lunch Menu, which looked better than the dinner one. We sat, everybody was very nice here, and the hostess gave us the menus. To my surprise, there was no menu from Miami Spice so I asked for it, the hostess brought me the special menu but I was confused because she brought me the dinner one and it wasn't dinner time. I asked about it and told me lunch was until 3 pm. So I was already a little annoyed because their dinner menu wasn't as good as the lunch one. My boyfriend was super disappointed but since we were already there, we decided to just get a couple of dishes to share. We started with some drinks and I got one of their mocktails, I don't remember the name of it but it was good! There's beauty in a mocktail well done. My boyfriend got one cocktail, rum-based with coconut and it was super good too. As an appetizer, we got their Focaccia which it's not your typical Focaccia with a thick dough. This one was like hallow bread that was inflated due to the heat but it was so, so good, we wouldn't mind ordering a second one. It was delicious and addicting! For entrees, we ordered the Spaghetti which has a simple red sauce but the pasta was so well cooked and the sauce was so delicious, it just reminded you of how simple is life. We had to try one of their pizzas because the focaccia was so good, we were wondering about the pizzas so we got the Positano pizza, and wow!!! I've tried so many pizzas but this one was ON POINT! Soppressata and Finnochiona meeting in this spicy pizza with hot honey on top, what a delight! Delicious! Honestly, our meal was way better than we expected and we can't wait to come back and try other dishes from the menu! The restaurant is beautiful and I love the fact that even though it might be busy, you can still hear what the other person at your table is saying.

My partner and I needed a place to go last minute on a Saturday night - so of course everything was booked out and we randomly stumbled on this gem! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. They have a main dining room area and a "lounge" which is just additional tables in a separate part of the restaurant, however more quiet and intimate that the main dining area - perfect for a date night. The food was overall excellent - oysters were super fresh, NY strip was slightly over but still really tasty, the asparagus was cooked perfectly! They still had a nice snap, and we had the burnt cheesecake for dessert which was so airy and light! I had the purple orchid for my drink cause I tend to like drinks with lavender but it came out somewhat of a smoothie texture - so I'd probably say opt for another drink, they have an extensive wine menu. Overall, enjoyed and will be back!
