This place is one of those "don't judge a book by its cover" kind of places. Many people focus on the aesthetic or looks of a place but I personally think that even if a place has outdated decor, it can still be amazing. Service was 5 starts for sure, I came in 1 hour before closing and my server had a smile on her face and made me feel so welcomed! When I told her it was my first time and asked for recommendations, she suggested the red curry and I couldn't be more pleased with her suggestion. Spring rolls were spot on, and the side sauce was so good. The curry was spicy , yet it wasn't spicy to the point where it was unbearable to eat. It may look like a small portion, but rest assured that the curry will not only it the spot but will fill you up 100%. This family operated place is honestly one of the best places I've tried, and you can tell the people there really take pride in what they do.

The pad thai was really sweet and lacking in chicken. The tom yum had two shrimps that were deveined - excellent as most places leave the poo in the shrimp lol. Would I come back? Maybe

Me and my boyfriend LOVE this place! I have been going since I was a freshman at Rice about 6 years ago and it has become a staple in our household. The food is always so delicious and tastes like they put a lot of love in it. The waitresses are always incredibly kind and go the extra mile when serving you. Overall, great local Thai place. Will be coming here as long as I live in Houston!!

Was looking for a place to get Thai food since we were in this area and saw this place pop up. Cute little restaurant, friendly staff and was not busy when we went. For food we got the pad see ewe and the yellow chicken curry, along with Thai tea. Everything was pretty good, tasty and decent Thai food. However, was a bit pricey. About $16 for each dish.

I had a chance to eat out with the family for Mother's Day. I was unsure where we were going to but eventually noticed a familiar route heading towards Rice Village. Eventually decided to dine in at Thai Village.Walking in the restaurant seating was readily available and a very cozy spot. I typically appreciate when Thai restaurants give off that home like feel. We decided to pick a couple of dishes. Starting off with the Thai tea, mixed vegetables with seafood, chef fried rice, chicken pad Thai, yellow curry with beef, and Tiger cry beef. And of course we could not pass up the coconut ice cream and for me, the mango sticky rice.I say the portion sizes are a good amount. But definitely it is best to order a couple of dishes for a complete meal. The chef fried rice was great. I liked the fried rice is not typical where they scramble the egg and adding pineapple as well. The mixed vegetable had that nice crunch to it. They yellow curry had some spice but not unbearable packed with flavor. The pad Thai noodles were long and a good mix of bean sprout and green onion. The tiger cry was grilled nicely and having the dipping sauce with vegetables were great compliments. The coconut ice cream was not too sweet and the mango sticky rice was a great pick to finish the meal. Of course the Thai tea was amazing too. Not like drinking a powdered mix at all. Service was great and very nice. We needed a few recommendations and were happy to assist. Plus I appreciate the attentiveness even though they were not so busy close to end of service for the day. Overall I enjoyed the visit to Thai Village. One thing that can be a challenge is being in a busy plaza in Rice Village. I have seen the restaurant on my many visits around the area but never had an opportunity to visit. But it is what I enjoy in Thai cuisine. A very eating at a person's home style of food, not many seats and always great service. I never had a time where a Thai restaurant made feel unwelcomed. I recommend it but of course, parking could be a challenge in such a busy area.

It was a passable Thai restaurant. Nothing terrible but nothing memorable either. The satay chicken was amazingly large. It was about the size of a chicken tender. And you get 4 of them. My mother- in-law ordered two thinking they were small. They were grilled nicely and the peanut sauce was good. I had the chicken pho and my daughter had the chicken pad thai. The pho was bland and had more soup than noodles. The chicken was bland and the hoisin sauce with sirachi added much needed flavor. The massaman curry was the most disappointing. The flavors were muted and there was no sweetness that I'm used to. The thai ice tea was good and thai ice coffee was what my husband needed at the moment. The waitresses were friendly. We were immediately seated and served. The interior was a little dark but appropriately decorated.
