The server was very nice, food was decent, but the manager was very aprupt and had a harsh attitude. My daughter absolutely did not like her plate, the meat tasted like liver, it did not look appetizing. So she returned it and asked for something else. Most businesses exchange with a discount or may not even charge at all. Of course, we had to pay but what bothered me most was the way the manager answered to me. Not the way to get new customers to come back...maybe business is not that great and needed to charge or she is just that way. Take into account I almost never write reviews but the attitude was not necessary.

This place is great down home food with great service, not a fancy place but fancy menu that is well worth it. I eat here every time I am I am in Eagle Lake.

Very disappointed. I've driven by numerous times and seen a fair few vehicles in the parking lot. My wife & I stopped by today for lunch. She ordered the chicken fried chicken & I ordered the chicken fried steak. The waitress brought us both chicken. I sent mine back to be corrected. The steak itself was so-so. Not terrible, but not great. The white gravy reminded me more of flavorless paste than good gravy. After our meal, my wife had to go find a to-go box herself as the waitress was too busy behind the counter chatting with the other employee to bother with seeing if we needed anything, let alone bringing us our check. I could see shoddy service if they were busy, but there was only 1 or 2 other tables occupied in the place. The fact that I have had worse CFS keeps me from giving them one star. Even if they do a good job on their seafood, the lack of service ensured that I won't be back and I will advise others to skip this place as well.

Food was very good. I typically don't eat fried food but this was really good. The meats were flavorful, tender and moist. I enjoyed this small town atmosphere and great service.

Took a shot and tried this place, friendly staff, excellent food!! The chicken fried chicken is juicy and flavorful! I loved it!

I am impressed. My first experience was with the fried alligator appetizer and the serving size with the price couldn't be beat. The texture and flavor was awesome.

We had the grilled flounder, and it was delicious. We also enjoyed trying the fried alligator. Fast, prompt service was a huge plus!Definitely recommend stopping if you're passing through.

This business has taken a nose dive. In our party of six, all of whom had been there previously, no one was satisfied with their meal. They have gone with smaller portions rather than raise prices. I could hardly find the catfish in my fried catfish. Folks with gumbo said it was like thin soup.

The food was TERRIBLE. The shrimp came out and smelled like death. After sending it back the server confirmed that the shrimp was expired. The ketchup on the table was spoiled/sour and the cocktail sauce had mold growing on the bottle.

Their food is really really good just a little bit pricey but for Eagle Lake it's nice could smell better in there though
