Tequila's family Mexican restaurant

I've been to Tequila's three or four times now and have always had a good experience. The service is good and the servers are always very nice. The restaurant is cute, and isn't a giant place but has plenty of tables and booths for groups of all sizes. Parking is convenient in the lot surrounding the building, which you can enter right off of South Golden Road. Every table gets chips and salsa to start. On my last visit I ordered the enchiladas verdes, which I enjoyed. The avocado on top was fresh. Everyone else at the table seemed happy with their meals as well. If you're looking for Mexican food in the area, Tequila's is a good spot to check out!

Excellent staff and delicious Mexican food! We live in Littleton and it's totally worth the drive. Really good carne Asada. The prickly pear margarita will remind you of good times in Santa Fe New Mexico. Been going here for 20 years and hope to make it 20 more, always consistent. Anyone who says different is totally loco

Super strong margaritas! I came here for dinner tonight cause I was craving their salsa and Mexican cabbage slaw which is automatically served right when you sit down along with tortilla chips which taste homemade and are served warm...a plus! DRINKS: I noticed it was still Happy Hour (M-F 2:00-5:00) which made the house margaritas 2 for 1 ($8.75 total). I ordered 1 to start and it was a decent size. I was thirsty so I drank it quicker than usual. I had no idea how strong it actually was. I'm no lightweight but this thing caught up to me fast! I'm not sure what kind or how much alcohol they put in these but by the time I ordered my 2nd one I could only take 2 sips. If you're looking to get buzzed quick and cheap, this is the place to come! FOOD: The salsa is some of the best I've ever had. It is not too watery and you can see the fresh onions and cilantro in almost every bite. I love their cabbage slaw which has cabbage, tomatoes, jalapeño, cilantro, and red onion. I ordered the create your own combo with a smothered bean and cheese burrito, an enchilada, and a crispy rellano. The dish came with refried beans and Spanish rice. It was huge and I had leftovers. The plate came out piping hot and it all tasted fresh. SERVICE: Service was good. Drinks came out super fast and the food did, too. Staff was friendly all worked together to service the tables, which is nice to see a restaurant do. Overall, it was a good experience. The restaurant was clean, the music was not too loud, and the booths seemed cozy and private.

Been here many times. Always hits the spot if you're craving Mexican food. I can never find a good SPICY burrito and i found it! I will say their water is not the best.

It's really sad. This use to be one of our favorite spots when we lived in Golden and we quickly walked out when our water tasted like plastic. Didn't want to chance it after the salsa and chips came out and tasted old.

Wow. Unbelievable visit. We chose this place based off the many awesome experiences we've had at the Thornton location. However, this place is definitely NOT THE SAME. First off the manager is so rude. I asked for her name & she said it, I asked her to spell it & she did. Then I asked her again (because it's not one I've heard before & wanted to make sure to mention her in this review) & she literally said "I've already told you once so I'm not going to tell you again". Are you kidding me? THIS IS A MANAGER??? So it's like Xenoia or something similar. I ordered a 16oz "perfect" margarita. See below the pics & ask yourself if that looks like neither a 16oz marg NOR "Perfect". Their ice to actual liquid ratio is wayyy off. When I asked the waitress to make me another with less ice, she literally scooped out some ice off the top & brought it back. So I asked for the manager. She came out & I asked her "does this look like anywhere near equal or even fair ratio to you for $11? If you went into a restaurant & ordered a 16oz Perfect Marg & THIS came out, would u be satisfied with this?" She replied "well, idk what to tell you. That's our margarita. I can remake it without ice but I'll have to charge you double". I asked her "does this look anywhere near 16oz to you, or is is 14oz of ice & 2 Oz of margarita?". She snapped back AGAIN "well that's our margarita, I can remake it but will have to charge you double." I cannot believe the audacity of this woman. Or how she's a manager. Absolutely horrible customer service. NO PROFESSIONAL demeanor at all. She doesn't need to be in a leadership position with her snarky attitude. I can't even speak on the food or anything else about this place because the manager ruined our visit literally before our food even came out. Then she comes around to ask if everything is ok. My reply: "Nope. Still same situation you refused to handle before". She walked away while rolling her eyes. We most definitely won't be back. And I personally called the family / owner of 'Tequilas' branded restaurants, to let them know that this manager here will destroy their name & reputation if you keep her here. She shouldn't be working with the public in any way whatsoever. Horrible, Horrible person. There's seriously no excuse for rude etiquette to a customer, especially from a "manager". She's a representative of your business. And that's a bad executive decision to allow HER to do so.

I tried this restaurant yesterday and was really impressed. Great atmosphere, great service, great food and great prices. Definitely a return is in order.

Very good food . Awesome service . Salsa a bit spicy , but that was perfect for me . Will be back.

I have had lunch and dinner here on many occasions and have never been disappointed. The service, margaritas and the food are all a cut above. Tequila's is our go-to Mexican restaurant. My friends, neighbors and family members all enjoy going here. The bottom line is that I recommend this place.

Fist able server was rude and inefficient, looks like He was giving the food for free, talking about food I can believe they call themselves Mexican restaurant, too far from that. wow really bad taste, no flavor, definitely bad experience I have to admit that the Margaritas are good. otherwise, we won't comeback please don't call yourself Mexican restaurant.
