This place is near and dear to me because I grew up in this neighborhood. They no longer serve breakfast, but the grill has great drinks & lunch/dinner options. It's never too crowded and the views are beautiful. I visited recently and started with a margarita and Mac n cheese bites. I'd rate them 3/5. The Philly cheesesteak and housemade chips were really good - I'd say a 5/5. I had the buffalo chicken wrap with fries as well. This was a 3. Great place to relax before or after golf. Service was excellent and quick.

We ventured down here on a Thursday night. The place was busy and had a fun vibe. A lot of people seemed to know each other so guessing a lot live in the neighborhood. There was live music which was great. They did not have any drink specials that night but looks like they do other days. Husband and I ordered a basket of crinkle fries to share which were perfectly cooked. I ordered nachos with chicken for my meal. They were a step up from skating rink nachos. I did like that they were spread out and served on a pizza pan because the chips did not get as soggy and you could scoop the cheese off the pan. Husband's burger was decent but not that big. Service was good. If we lived nearby we would probably visit again but it was a drive for us.

Staff and music were great. Unfortunately some of the worst food we have ever had. I have had better food at a gas station and that is sad.

Driven by this place the past 3 years. My family grew up working in such a place. Decided to stop today after reading the latest reviews about this "hidden gem". It is so small, a guy at the bar chatting with another patron and the bartender, was a bit loud. Jennifer our server/bartender was nice, knowledgeable. Waiting for the food was a bit tedious. 20 min for wings... The dry rub was tasty, but the wings small. Carolina Ale House still has the meatiest. Pizza, homemade, we ordered the 12" hand tossed, with pepperoni, italian sausage and mushrooms with black olives. Was flavorful, tasty, great crust! Glad we stopped, probably won't visit again.

You'll get a better burger at Hardee's. Had a fly wing in or salt shaker. Slow service when hardly busy.

I come here to play golf often - even though we belong to two country clubs. We come here so I can practice and have fun as it's more laid back and informal. I am always hungry and thirsty and don't mind spending whatever on liquor and food; I normally tip upwards of 50% and was very put off when the girl working today told me to my face they were closed yet proceeded to tell the 5 frat guys behind me they can get a beer...I follow the frat guys to get my drink while three or four others trickle in behind, the waitress doesn't even get to me next and helps everyone else who came in behind me...and then is eventually very rude to me when she finally gets to me. It's been a couple years we have been coming here and I've never had this experience until today. all this is Very interesting considering this is what appears to be a middle aged woman - I guess the staff here feel like they only need to adhere to customer service if your a man. I'd like this server to know that myInteraction with her was unprofessional and disrespectful. I hope she treats other women who come into this little dive with more class, consideration and respect. My one liquor drink cost more than those frat guy beers combined - know your audience and know that you lost a regular customer who came here out of convenience. All in all - it takes one bad experience for someone to say I didn't appreciate the service and choose to bring their own drinks and forgo the mediocre food. We will be golfing elsewhere from now on. Hopefully they can find someone to serve here who treats everyone equally.

Visited Tavern on the Green for the first time after purchasing a certificate on Localflavor.com. There were four of us in our party...and we each ordered something different. My pizza was amazing....soft crust with crispy bottom....perfect toppings (bulk sausage vs. sliced and sweet onions) and plenty of mozzarella. My wife ordered the lasagna. It was absolutely wonderful....generous portion served with a fresh side salad any restaurant would be proud to serve. The others in our group ordered one of the thin crust "artesian" pizzas. They loved their pizza too. This charming "little" restaurant takes itself seriously but doesn't feel like it needs to charge an arm and a leg for a great meal. The chef should be commended as his cooking skills are evident. Our server was courteous and efficient.....came to our table frequently to check on us as we enjoyed our meal. Please give this "gem" of a restaurant a try.
