This was the last meal I had in Denver before leaving and it was the PERFECT meal! Denver has a pretty big Hispanic population, so there are a ton of taquerias in the area, but this one came highly recommended and I can totally see why!The establishment is really understated and I could easily see people walking or driving past it without clocking it, but it's also located in such prime location! The interior is simple and plain, but what it lacks in character inside, it more than makes up for in the wonderful service and delicious food! All the employees were so kind and joking around with us while we waited for our food. We had placed a carryout order and they were finishing it up as we arrived and I just got the best vibes from all of them! They are so happy and welcoming and really love what they do!I think each of us ordered a set of 5 tacos and I got them all as Al Pastor (pork) and it was the right move!! The tacos are street style-size, so 3-4 bites if that, hence why 5 tacos is doable! But if you order some chips and guacamole with that and maybe another side, you could easily split the 5 tacos among 2 people. That being said, no matter what GET THE GUACAMOLE AND THE HORCHATA! Both are out of this world delicious! I've never had such creamy guacamole before - I don't even know how to describe how perfect the texture is! It might come off as a little bland, but paired with the salted tortilla chips or on top of your tacos, it adds so much dimension without overloading on saltiness and I loooove that! As for the horchata - it comes in a MASSIVE cup so you can easily split one of those among 2-3 people! We had 3 people and it was more than enough! It was perfect to pair with the whole meal and I'd frankly drink a whole massive cup of that on my own too!I'll be thinking about this meal for a looong time! I went almost 3 months ago now before finally getting around to writing this review and I'm clearly still thinking about it! I can't recommend it enough!!

This place is firstly great for its welcoming owners and hospitality. The food is also pretty good and very well priced. Once seated, you'll get two types of salsa and chips. The tacos come with either guacamole or avocados, usually we get guacamole and use it for our chips. Food is usually pretty quick also. There's limited space inside and outside so if it's packed, I imagine it'll be tricky finding a seat, however, I've never been when it's packed. Everything we have ordered has been delicious. We really liked the taco plate the most though.

This family-owned restaurant was delightful. We arrived with our kids and were quickly served a customized plate of rice, fries, and grilled chicken, which was delicious. The adults had flautas and steak fajitas, with freshly made guacamole. Portions were generous and the flavors were spot on.The humble, attentive owners made the experience even better. The small place was bustling with regulars and take-out orders.Highly recommend!

Amazing tacos. Authentic & reasonably priced ($11.5 for 5 tacos). I tried the asada & barbacoa and both are amazing. Service was extremely fast and they are so friendly! There are two patio tables. We will be back!

We found this place on Yelp at the last minute while headed somewhere and short on time and it has become our FAVORITE local hole in the wall!! It's the perfect little mom n pop establishment. The service was quick and friendly. The SALSAS!!! So fresh and flavorful with a nice kick - we bought 32oz to-go! The breakfast burritos were simple but delicious. Prices were also great. Oh and absolutely do not forget to get yourself some horchata! Best I've had in awhile. Will definitely be frequenting this spot when I'm craving some good, authentic Mexican!

Great tacos. Not a great eat-in experience. If you are grabbing tacos to go and are on foot, this is a great place to stop. If you are looking for a place to dine in with friends, this might not be the best choice. The tacos are great. I really enjoyed the Al Pastor, Barbacoa and Carne Asada tacos. The chorizo is a bit dry. I love that you can have either a slice of avocado or guac on your tacos, this is a great option. The five taco plate (basically a buy 4 get 1 free deal) is great in concept, but you can only choose up to 2 kinds of tacos. You can't get 5 different ones. And, given how busy they are, they are going to get at least one order at your table wrong. If you are a vegetarian, you might want to check this place out. Rather than the single, obligatory vegetarian option, they have an entire vegetarian menu. My buddy's veggie enchiladas looked stellar! There is super limited seating, only 4 or 5 two-top tables inside and some outdoor seating. They do not serve alcohol and have limited beverage options (i.e. no iced tea, just bottled soda or horchata). And, parking is extremely challenging in this neighborhood.

I'll kick it off by saying the owner of this place is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Follow that up by saying this is some of our favorite Mexican food in CO. If you haven't been yet you have to give it a try. Oh and they start you off with a hot (temperature hot) salsa that has become by far my favorite salsa I've tried anywhere.

I wish I took pictures of the burritos, tacos and quesadillas we ordered here... but we were so hungry that everything was half inhaled by the time I even thought about it.We found this place on Yelp and decided to try it on a whim. Definitely a hole in the wall and family-owned feel that was just perfect. The staff here were very warm, chill and attentive in a casual way. The menu is rather simple and filled with expected favorites including a variety of rice/protein plates.Seating here is VERY limited inside (~5 tables at most?) and we saw that many folks were just taking their food to go. Everything we ordered was super tasty, nothing sketchy about the ingredients or sides, and overall it was a great and authentic experience. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area again!

From the outside Taqueria La Familia may not seem like a show stopper, but don't be fooled! Quaint spot that serves affordable and delicious food with a family run vibe.Very limited seating, but amazingly my taco hunting party of 7 was able to commandeer enough seats to be comfortable. Good menu selection with great portions and everything was delicious! I went with the veggie option and was very satisfied. Everyone working there was also very friendly. To those looking to quench their thirst: they do not serve alcohol, so catch a happy hour elsewhere before stopping here for the yummy noms!
