Tap On The Rocks

Great food and a nice AC break from the hot weather. We stayed at Cliff House Lodge on the next block and wanted to eat before a concert at Red Rocks. You definitely want to add protein to the salad if you're not getting anything else. The pizza was hot and delicious. The crust was a little too charred for my taste so I ate around it. The pizza was still fabulous as leftovers after the concert There was a big TV inside so we watched the Olympics while waiting. There's also a separate bar area.

After a fun hike at Red Rocks Park we decided to stop in the small, quaint town of Morrison, Colorado, which boast a population of 400. There are many restaurants on the main street, catering to thirsty and hungry hikers. We came upon Tap On The Rocks restaurant which offered nice outside seating. We were greeted promptly and told to select any table on their deck, which is covered by a lattice roof. It's a nice, shaded deck. Water was quickly served, and after about 5 minutes our waitress came by the table and we ordered: * Cobb Salad $17.00: Grilled chicken, bacon, cucumber, tomato, olives, onion, egg, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, fresh mixed greens * House Salad $9.00 Spring Mix, Grape Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Fresh Mozarella * (2) Patty Melt $16.00 Pork & Beef Patty, Caramelized Onions, Swiss Cheese on Rye.I hate giving out 1-star reviews but Tap On The Rocks surely earned it. All four of us thought this was the worst lunch we've had in years (likely in the top 5 most terrible meals I've ever had). The Patty Melt was dry, seriously overcooked, had almost no cheese and the onions were raw red onions. Two of these melts were ordered, and they were both terrible, much of the sandwich left on their respective plates. My Cobb Salad was 95% lettuce, had a few tiny pieces of cucumber, a few strands of cheese, and two tiny bits of bacon. The chicken was some type of pressed, processed chicken, it tasted odd, was it chicken? I'm not sure if they ran out of ingredients, had an incompetent chef, or some combination of both. If you happen to be driving through Morrison, don't walk by Tap On The Rocks, Run!!

Vodka soda. Flat. Roasted cauliflower. The portion is the equivalent of a side of cauliflower for $14. Wrong sauce. Not on side.Would not recommend or come back.

Few things are better than a hardy and delicious breakfast after a long hike. And TOTR delivered! Great service, good food, beautiful day. We had our dogs with us and we were able to sit on the patio right away. They also have water bowls for your pups. I would return to try lunch or dinner for sure.

I was lucky enough to be at the First Brunch Service, and man was it delicious!!!! This the best breakfast patio spot in Morrison! Food is fabulous and the service is amazing! Such a good vibe in this place.... Definitely stop by if you are in Morrison. You won't regret it! And don't forget to ask for Cambri..... best server ever!!!!

WARNING!!! Only one side of the parking lot is free parking for the restaurant and those spots are likely filled with the employees vehicles.The spots along the street are apparently paid parking for the city and not properly marked as pictured below These are the most visible signs when entering the lot. The painted wording on the paid spots are very faded and not visible if cars are already parked there The food and service was ok. Would have given more stars if not for the parking issue. The restaurant could warn their patrons about this or a notice on the tables prior to sitting down.

Lunch on a Saturday in July.Excellent service by Courtney.Red Peppers Hummus had dried out small carrots and the pita bread tasted old. Overall not a great dish.The Roasted Cauliflower was very nice.Chicken Pesto sandwich was way too greasy and not very good.The Summer Salad was ok.Nice selection of draft beers.

This is such a great spot, great burgers and wings but the best is the warm and engaging service. A family favorite, for sure.

Good pizza, weak service. Waitress was more interested in her phone. Wish I had her number to text her my requests.

Loved this place. We came in for just a few drinks. We will be back for dinner. Cute on the patio and they told us they are remodeling this winter to make patio bigger. It will be awesome! Nathan and was so nice and helpful!
