In at least last 10 yrs. I have never had any issues with my food, I have been very happy with Shanora, the female manager from her previous engagement at CJ seafood on Lockwood,, and the tall well spoken gentleman all of which are always the very best at assisting and being pleasant.... However, they have hired some new help from someone named CJ who was rude, inconsiderate, and just a entire mess.. I called my order in and realized that the young lady had a hard time understanding the order ; which was a medium catfish, no skin, extra seasoning, fried hard, jumbo shrimp out of the fish casing, an additional salad and extra salad dressing on the side... I asked to speak to the tall gentleman. I never get his name and she was offended, so I went ahead and ordered with her and finding myself in a case of what I ordered, and what I received, which was: fried fish ", dry salads, and hard shrimp I live in Spring Texas and they wanted me to return the food today in order for them to fix my order so I'm supposed to drive 45 minutes across town for you to fix my order and be rude to me and lose money all in the same day.. Lucky for me I am associated with the right people and will use that to my advantage. CJ, my young friend, you will learn of a little lady named karma and she will teach you to humble yourself and that everyone is not your enemy and also you're not the only one with the day!To the owners, just hiring, anyone will cost you business. I have no problem with losing that $40 but you should because I'm a loyal customer and I want you to know I will take my money somewhere that considers me as a person with respect and integrity.So if you happen to just roll into this place, be sure to order with the well spoken tall gentleman, or the cute little lady of management, the rest of the staff is trash...Shanora, THEY NEED YOU BACK!!!!I will no longer be referring this place to my friends, family or associates.

The best in Houston buy the whole uncooked catfish and have them to cook it. No bones,bones to the side and order the monk rice the boiled shrimp is good. Also, the fried oysters are good as well.

The food is really good for a You Buy We Fry place and it is close to work so it's a lunch time favorite for the office crew.

Came across this place and was super excited to try it due to the crowd i saw in the parking lot. The customer service was good and i love a hood spot however the food was mid the price was good only paid $10 but i don't know if i would go back

This place is always crowded and only takes cash they seem to have no system and it is very hard to call in an order

I came from Los Angeles to see my dad and he recommended this place. I asked him if they accepted call in orders and he said "if you can get them to answer". Not only did that answer quickly, the gentleman taking my order was a complete character, he had me laughing from the time he answered until we hung up. He took my order thoroughly in his BEST customer service voice and made sure everything was accurate. Everything was amazing. Can't wait to go back to visit.

Cash only! Be ready. The monk fried rice and fried catfish/fried shrimp plate was great with huge portions and the price can't be beat for the quality. These 2 dishes literally fed me for 3 meals. I want to come back and try their shrimp boils and boudin.The seafood is definitely the star of the show. Their tartar sauce is from packets, and I'm a condiment fiend so usually this would be a turn off but the food is bomb enough on its own.

Excellent food!! Don't be fooled by the looks GREAT service every time! Same reliable people that have been there for years! Sometimes they already know what you're going to order!

You must check your order before you leave the last time I got two back bones a new kind of fish no and the shrimp were so hard it was just terrible and they don't take credit cards so you can not make them be held accountable
