Swamp Donkeys Crawfish And Seafood

I went to Swamp Donkeys on a Saturday, it was pretty busy but service didn't take too long. I got 5 lbs of crawfish with some sausage, mushrooms, and potatoes on the sides. They gave us plenty of extra butter and seasoning without us having to ask. The food park itself has upgraded recently with more seating, a stage for live music, and a better variety of food trucks. The seafood was delicious, spicy, and cooked perfectly.

Swamp donkeys has become one of my favorite restaurants in Houston by a landslide. First off, this little gem is an hour away from me in Kingwood. When you pull in, you park on dirt. Restrooms are port a potty style and I am just not a fan. On the property, they off other food trucks, one serves liquor, Jell-O shots, daiquiris. The other serves tacos, burritos, the other serves burgers, fries, the other one serves the best sno cones I have ever had! I haven't event gotten to the crawfish yet. So when you get in line, they offer sausage, corn, potatoes, mushrooms, crab (20.99/lb), crawfish 8.99/lb or 5lbs for $40(a freaking steal)! They offer eggs, water, soda, and so much more. They offer different spice levels, which I usually order the garlic extra spicy. The crawfish comes with regular butter and seasoning which is just as good. Too the crawfish! The peel is so easy and cooked to perfection. They have been some juicy sizes so it's been addicting coming back to see how big the mud bug gotten. The wait is usually not too long and it's a buzzer system. They bring your food out to you! Open seating and they have a little tiki that's covered along with outdoor seating. They have a bounce house and sandbox for kiddos. They have dj and music playing most of the time. They sometimes have a steak tent up for steak nights. Overall, this places is a go to spot for friends, family, co workers and many more! Such a VIBE! there are usually ladies working so bring them a tip. They also offer drive thru option as well! First, keep in mind that Swamp Donkey's is not a restaurant. It is a food truck somewhat of a food truck park. There is a lot of seating available, but nothing indoors. There is a covered area with tables if you are lucky to get a seat.The food is soooo good! I really like the garlic crawfish. My children always order pizza from the pizza truck. We also never leave without a snow cone from the snow cone truck. This is a very popular location. You can also drive through and pick up your order from Swamp Donkeys.

With a name like this, I had no clue what to expect. To my pleasant surprise, this place is a whole vibe! We enjoyed everything at this food truck park from the food, to the service, and even the atmosphere! The vibe was very laid back and we were welcomed like family friends. They keep things very clean and sanitary. Free ice for your byob is also a nice touch. However, do not forget your cup. We danced after enjoying our meals and had an awesome Sunday funday here. We will return!

Want (or should I say NEED) crawfish? Head to Kingwood for this food truck. Excellent crawfish, they were large and I ate until I just about exploded. There's a couple other food trucks there as well, bbq, pizza, so there's something for everyone. There's also a bunch of picnic tables and even a play area if you have kids. Swamp Donkey's also has a drive through window in case you want them to go. They were very busy when I went on a Saturday.

Let me start this review with this: I always get my food to go through the drive through window.With that said, WOW. I have never been a huge fan of crawfish, but this place changes ALL of that. Soaked Louisiana style, and dusted with seasoning, the flavor of the crawfish is incredible no matter what flavor you order (they have mild, spicy, extra spicy, garlic spicy, and a flavor called "Hotter than your girlfriends sister" ). I've had every flavor and none of them were disappointing, but I personally LOVE a true spicy crawfish...you're gonna get that here, so BE READY!Friendly, personable folks at the takeout window...typically about 15-20 minute wait once you order. There are lots of different things you can add, so there's something for everybody. If you like crawfish, these people will definitely take care of you. If you live far, it's worth the drive!

Soooo goood! The reviews are on point. I took mine home but the crawfish and crab legs were so tasty! Cool vibe with live music. Definitely recommend if you love crawfish!!

Worst food food was cold. Food was salty and I believe bad. They have dogs inside of the building where they take otters eating out of the crawfish bowls and Customer Service sucks. I will never go there again and I see that they leave fake reviews to make their score. Go up, watch out

Went on Memorial day cause I saw good reviews on TikTok about this place and the crawfish were by far the worst crawfish I've had in Houston. I ordered extra spicy and they had no spice or flavor. I gave them away and that person also said they had no flavor at all. Not sure what the issue was but those crawfish were not right at all. Very disappointed as I drove 40mins out. Also, the sides had no flavor either.
