Close up of the Frickle. True pickle spears would have been much better! Flavor of breading was good, ranch wasn't great.
Mozzarella sticks. Huge!

Frickle's - too much breading! And I'm usually not too picky with ranch but it wasn't good :/

This place is a good spot to watch a sports game. Plenty of beers on tap and a great variety on the menu. Went for the seafood special. It was good, has a little kick, which I enjoyed. We sat at the bar ordered a couple drinks and dinner. Food arrived promptly and hot. Although the bartenders were busy, they were still attentive. Overall a good experience.

Why 4 stars? Because this is another welcomed addition to Woodforest. --- --- ---We initially planned on letting Suburbs work out the Grand Opening kinks before visiting, but we saw so many rave reviews in our neighborhood Facebook group that we opted to go check it out on the third day that they were open. The place was pretty packed the entire time we were in here, and everyone on the staff was really hustling. I'm not sure if this is mostly due to the excitement of a new restaurant opening or if this is going to be the norm here, but good for Suburbs, either way.As many others mentioned via the Facebook group, it's pretty loud in here. This is kind of a good thing for us, because if our 4 year old is being whiny, he's not disturbing other tables. It's one giant, open dining room with TV's plastered on every square inch of the walls. We started off with mozzarella sticks and these might have been the best thing we ordered. They are massive. Definitely the biggest that I've ever seen. And they were amazing. Highly recommend. 5-stars.I ordered the Brisket Grilled Cheese. I really enjoyed it. The only bummer was that it wasn't very warm by the time it came to us, but I really don't hold that against a place in its third day. Based on taste alone, I would not hesitate to order this one again. 4.5-stars, but easy to round up to 5 if it were to have come out hot.My wife ordered the Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich. Unfortunately, this was the biggest miss for us. I hate to be so negative against a brand new local business, and I will say this with the caveat that I trust them to get this right with time. But this sandwich was just really unappealing. It was incredibly plain and tasted almost like nothing. It definitely needed more honey and probably a lot more. 2-stars :(We ordered the Skillet Cookie for dessert, and while this took a very long time to come out, they ended up comping it. Even if it wasn't comped, these are the kinds of things I expect to happen from a new business. If it was my third day working in the kitchen with a full dining room, I know I personally would make a million mistakes. But as for the cookie itself, I am definitely a sucker for hot desserts mixed with ice cream. It was definitely piping hot, but was just a bit too chocolately for my tastes. And I think they should go full Texas and make the ice cream Blue Bell. Blue Bell makes everything better. 4-stars.Welcome to Woodforest, Suburbs! I hope you continue to have a packed house, even after the initial hype dies down. I imagine this will be a very busy place on football Sundays.

First of all, it's FREEZING in there. Take a sweater. Food was average. Nothing special. We had the loaded nachos with brisket. Our waitress Shelby recommended the brisket over the chicken. We really enjoyed the brisket. Also ordered queso and salsa. Again, nothing special. And with it so cold in there, the queso didn't stay hot for long. Another friend ordered the chicken tacos and said they were good. She especially liked the slaw on them. Another friend ordered the giant moz sticks (logs). Again, they were really good when they came out. Great breading. But they got cold quick and were not ooey gooey as they are meant to be. Shelby was great at checking on us. We came for happy hour and wanted to stay for bingo, sadly they don't offer happy hour and the bingo was $10 for 4 rounds. Starts at 7 but was later and after 2 rounds we left. May be back with a heavier jacket for a game to watch. Lots of tvs.

The food can be hit or miss here. The brisket grill cheese is great but the other things we tried were not so much. Found this place to be very loud with noise. Some sound suppression would go a long way in reducing the ambient noise level. The booths were hard and uncomfortable. The other knock I have is the brightness of the place. So bright I could have kept my shades on and not had a problem reading g the menu. Install a dimmer! If you are looking for a place to catch a game it is good to go. There are plenty of TVs which offer a good variety of viewing options. The service was acceptable. Nothing above normal to report there. Probably won't return unless they can crate a more inviting atmosphere.

The service was great and the place was full by 6:00. There were tv's covering the walls with an array of sports and although we read that it was super loud, it wasn't too bad in the back corner. We ordered the Frickles and the chips and salsa to start. I didn't like the Frickle - more breading than there was pickle and it was not a true pickle spear. More of a long and skinny breaded pickle slice (pictured). We ordered the chips and salsa, but she brought out chips, salsa, and queso, which ended up being a win, because the queso was amazing! Salsa was just salsa but good nonetheless less. We ordered the Ceasar salad, chicken fried chicken and Salmon plate. All were excellent. The fried chicken had sections were there was a ton of breading so it had gotten way over-crispy but nothing I imagine the kitchen won't fix in the coming months. Salmon was too fishy for me but my daughter inhaled it. Only surprise we had was that the Ceasar salad came with bacon. My hubby missed it on the menu so he ate around it. We don't eat pork but if we did, I don't imagine this would have been an issue.Overall great experience and will be back soon!

I have been to Suburbs several times and the food is good but it always seems like a long time to wait for meals. It doesn't matter how many are in our party. Food is decent. Great place to watch a game with all the TVs.

Not a bad stop at all! It was early in the day and the place was heavy on the "clean scent". Service was average, nothing to brag about. I did like their menu, they had a lot of good options. Between all of us we ordered mozzarella sticks, which were amazing. We also ordered chicken fingers which were lacking in seasoning. Both chicken and breading were lacking on taste. The Southwest Wrap was also very bland on taste. It was good, but it needed some boost. Wouldn't be bad for them to include some sauce with it to elevate the flavors just a bit. My husband had excellent feedback on his burger, he loved all of it. No complaints there. It's out of my way and more than likely I won't be returning, but if I am in the area I will definitely consider it.

The atmosphere in this place is perfect if you are looking for a beer and to watch sports, very open and inviting. They have walls, literal walls of televisions and also have a decent amount of local brews on tap. The cajun egg rolls were a solid app choice and as many have said before the pickles suffer from too little pickle versus the breading ratio. Also, the ranch and bbq sauces are not homemade so that leaves a little to be desired, ranch is so easy to make and dictates so many other dishes on the menu. The brisket grilled cheese was alright, brisket obviously reheated as some of the meat was cool and some hot. Our server Faith was great, she was nice and efficient so no complaints on the service. Overall, if you like beer and sports this is your spot but don't expect to be blown away by the food, it was just average bar food.

We were going to try this place out since we just moved to wood forest It took a while before we were even waited on when the restaurant was almost empty . We had brought our coffee in as it was early afternoon and they made us leave because we can't bring our coffee into the restaurant . We recently moved to wood forest and won't be coming back to this place .Don't waste your time
