Stick Talk Cajun Hibachi

This is my second time trying the Richmond location. On my first visit I wasn't informed that there was a lunch (smaller) option until I saw the sign after I had my meal. I just took the rest home for leftovers. My second visit was after lunch hours so I couldn't get it then either. Both times the service was good & fast. They keep the place nice and clean and there is a hookah lounge attached, in addition to the carwash. For me, Im not fond of the taste and how greasy it is. The sauce doesn't cover enough of the large portion, but it's not my favorite either. Their lemonades can be too tart or syrupy, not a good refreshing balance.

Pros: The food has improved since my first visit.Cons: their Instagram page states they have a lunch special. I drove across town to take advantage of it, only to be told upon my arrival, they no longer offer it. I wish I would have known this information before making the drive.I did not plan to write this review but after discovering my above comment was deleted from their Instagram page while the lunch special post still remained, I felt it was only right to bring the issue to Yelp!I believe this is an example of a deceptive business practice and it must be addressed!

Came into Stick Talk Cajun Hibachi with my date, all hyped up after catching a drool-worthy video on Insta. I was ready for some mind-blowing flavors that would have us talking about this meal for days. The place had a decent crowd, and the beats in the background were setting a pretty chill vibe.But let's talk about the food. It was alright, but it didn't knock my socks off like I thought it would. My date? She wasn't feeling it either. Didn't even finish her plate. And the service... well, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The cashier wasn't exactly rude, but she was chomping on some ice and decided to spit it out right by her register - yeah, not cool, especially since my date saw the whole thing.So, yeah, the experience was a bit of a letdown. Was expecting those flavors to pop, but it was more of a fizzle. Maybe we caught them on an off day?

The food tasted so fresh and I love the sauces! I definitely got the hibachi vibe even though I ordered pick - up.

I ordered the stick talk combo with noodles online - it was $45.The food was delicious and the sauces were tasty. Great quality food, I loved it. The only thing is that I paid $45 for shrimp, ribeye, and chicken, and the plate only came with like 4 shrimp. I kind of thought that sucked. My friend ordered the same thing and she got 3 shrimp and barely any vegetables.Food was 9/10 but the portions weren't consistent.

Upon arriving we thought it was just a car wash and we read the directions "order inside". We walk in, that's where we find a few people waiting for their food. The restaurant is pretty decent, nice size. I wouldn't call it cozy, it's more quaint- eat and leave (lol) they do have some good vibes music playing so that's pretty cool. My husband and I came at the end of the night, so it was like a "to go" order so to speak. Before ordering, the gentleman at the front was consumed in whatever he was doing he didn't speak for a few minutes, which was a bit rude but we brushed it off when he started talking to us about our order. We ordered the shrimp entree it came with a yum yum sauce of your choosing, I think it's like 7 kinds which in my opinion was tasty and salty AF as well, hence the 3 stars for me. Hubby's viewpoint is a bit different, he enjoyed it as well maybe more than I did but also mentioned the salt level was a bit much. What would bring me back? The late hours of course and to try the salmon entree next time. :)

Decided to grab some hibachi today and support another BO resturant. Took us a little minute to find it, but we finally did inside the Drip car wash. Free parking. When we walked in it was a cute hookah lounge. My expectations may be a little too high because I just wanted the workers to be welcoming, smiling, or just looking like they wanted to be at work...but maybe it was a bad day. The bowls were pretty good and came out smoking hot which is a plus. The lemonade was pretty good as well. However they were a little pricey. If we ever decide to return hopefully the service will be a little better cause that makes or breaks my experiences.

Ordered the combination plate to go and it did not disappoint! The spicy yum yum sauce was really good. I wouldn't say it was "spicy", it tasted like regular yum yum sauce to me. The summer sauce was okay- I most likely would not get it again, it tasted more like Tabasco than habanero as advertised. However, not bad.The service was great! The guy taking my order was very friendly and informative of the menu and helped make suggestions. The building is a nice, clean space- it seems to be new which is always a plus. If you're into hookah they have a seating area/extra tables separate from where you order

My sister invited me to lunch to try Stick Talk Cajun Hibachi; she's a repeat customer. If you are expecting a typical hibachi grill experience (food prepared hibachi style at your table) note, this is not that type of eatery.The establishment and bathrooms were clean, there are enough tables inside to seat about 20-25 customers and there's an outside area which is like a converted garage (space for around 25-30). We sat outside because the inside was very cold. However, on a Saturday afternoon they had a decent number of customers, we did have to wait a bit to order but the food came out fairly quickly (10-15 minutes max).I ordered the Double Up Combo with Shrimp & Salmon (extra $3) noodles and veggies and Spicy Cajun Garlic sauce.For the price of $33 for the combo it was a good portion size, I was able to bring home leftovers. They also serve desserts, soda, and alcoholic beverages such as frozen drinks. As for the flavor, it wasn't as Cajun as I was hoping for, but it was a good meal. My only drawback is when I think of hibachi I would expect my veggies to look as if they were seared/grilled, however, they were perfectly cooked. I live in The Woodlands and this location was 50 minutes away, so I wouldn't say I would frequent this location but if I'm in that area I wouldn't mind stopping in to try other items.Lastly, it is connected with a carwash detail so you can have lunch and get your vehicle cleaned.

A couple of times a year my family and I come from Dallas to Houston to go on a food tour. We saw a bomb video from their IG and decided to add it to our list. Never again.Like many of the reviews state (that I should've read before I came) the food is over priced for the type of quality we received. We don't mind paying for GOOD food, but this missed the mark. We got a little of everything on the menu. It was lukewarm, inconsistent rice textures, small amounts of protein, and just underwhelming.The place was clean and the cashier was friendly enough. That's why they get two stars. However, this is def not a place you should travel out of your way for. If you need a car wash and you live 5 minutes away, go for it. Just get something basic though, so you're not too disappointed.
