State Farmers Market Restaurant

I love the State Farmers Market Restaurant! Talk about the perfect place to get wonderful home-cooked food at an even more wonderful price. When you're here it does feel like you're family. The staff is so welcoming and patient! This is the perfect place to take family or friends from out of town for an authentic North Carolina experience. The building itself is right next to the State Farmer's market with plenty of parking onsite.I got the fried chicken with a side of mac and cheese and collards. The chicken was perfectly cooked. What's great about this place is that it's definitely a great value. You get a lot of great food for a reasonable price. The menu has specials, so you can always try something new if you'd like. Don't be deterred by the crowds. The service here is speedy, so you won't go hungry for too long! I'll definitely be back.

Cone here if you are super hungry. You won't leave hungry that's for sure. We got chicken and waffles and breakfast combo. Chicken was fried to perfection. So crispy and so juicy! It's also so nice that they serve complimentary biscuits and hush puppies. Their biscuits are so soft and fluffy. Yummm

Great place to eat! So many choices! Loved the biscuits... Soft and hot! I ate the "Basic" breakfast with sausage gravy on the side. Everything came out at a perfect temperature. Very filling! Left satisfied. Disappointed we do not have a place like this near where I live

This place is consistent in good service and good food. If you're looking for a good southern lunch, dinner or breakfast, this is a good spot. I've been here many times over the years and they never disappoint.

You can never go wrong with this Raleigh staple! I love coming and getting my country breakfast fix! The restaurant is large and has plenty of space for guest with a party of 1 up to larger groups. Go early (for breakfast) because they fill up quick, but they are efficient. You don't wait too long for your food and the service is so friendly. Come hungry and then walk off your meal at the Farmers Market.

I haven't been here in a while. This place is very farmhouse looking. Their menu is extremely expensive for breakfast for one person you will probably spend about $30 including a drink. The average biscuit is almost 9 dollars with nothing else included. The service however, is very good and very friendly. It is cold, you will need a jacket. If you're looking for a quick inexpensive breakfast, this is not the place.

Rude, unprofessional and trashy staff. Your server is likely to have a neck tattoo and reek of cigarettes. You feel as if you are a burden on the restaurant for just wanting to order food. Food is cafeteria style and overpriced. It still looks the same as it did 20 years ago except the service couldn't have gotten worse over that time. Don't recommend going on the weekend as it's overly crowded and you just get shuffled around like cattle. Management could care less about your bad experience. Honestly these days this place is an over glorified Waffle House.

A very casual breakfast & lunch spot! The place was big and bright with a ton of indoor seating (there was a small outdoor area too). I kept it simple with one giant hot cake and it came with a biscuit and hushpuppies. The pancake is true as advertised - it was huge! I could not finish the full thing. Hushpuppies were good too, but the biscuit was the true star of my meal. Our server was friendly! The place was completely packed, but food still came out quickly.

Back in town visiting and we had to eat at the farmers market! Love my bbq chicken with that great sauce! I bought a bottle to take back with me. The biscuits and hush puppies are still so good. I could make a meal of those alone!

A wonderful place for breakfast. Super family friendly. It is so loud that even if your kid were screaming no one cares. They only seat you if your whole party is there. Super quick service. Great size portions. Parking available on site.
