Star of India

We were visiting family in the area and the decision was unanimous: Indian food! Star of India ls near their new home. It may be in a run-down strip mall, but inside it is understated elegance and soft music :-)The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered several different entrees as wells as samosas, pakora, and naan. Everything was freshly made and wonderfully seasoned!! The spice level wasn't as hot as we prefer, but the flavors were so rich we didnt miss the heat in this case. Even the basmati rice was fresh snd steaming hot! (We've all been to places where the rice comes to the table cool & lumpy.) A really lovely dinner experience, and our local family will be back often!

Delicious food and great service! We ordered the bartha, chicken tikka masala and lamb biryani. Fantastic flavors! The area outside is old, but the restaurant inside is very clean, spacious and simple but nicely decorated.Highly recommended! We will be back.

Great food and flavor. The owner really cares a lot about this place and talked to us for thirty minutes about his story. He does love to ramble so youve been warned. The food was delicious and we love coming here. The pricing is great, and again we love supporting an owner that cares a lot.

This place is delicious! Probably one of the top 5 best Indian restaurants I've been to in Colorado. I'm not giving it a 5 star only because the restaurant hours are restrictive and the appetizer was very salty--but besides that, everything was great. Nice staff. Speedy service. Decent pricing. Spacious seating with clean interior. Clean bathrooms. And plenty of parking outside the restaurant. I would definitely come back here on a date with my husband.

This is my regular go to Indian restaurant. Everything tastes really good, from biryani to shrimp curry to tandoori chicken. My go to is chicken saag. The only thing on their menu I don't really like is their raita-its too thin for my preference.

The staff was friendly and helpful. So many styles of dishes to choose from. Two weeks ago we ordered the chicken masala, lamb saag, and another dish shrimp with coconut type of curry (sorry I forgot the name of the dish). We also got garlic naan and the mango drink. We did a takeout order, and we devoured all the food before I thought to take pictures. But I did get a snapshot of the mango drink while we waited for food upon our second visit yesterday.

Back after one year and they are still great! I had the chicken tikka masala and it was amazing. The garlic cheese naan was terrific.

We relocated from New York to Denver seven years ago. Today, we decided on an impromptu lunch with our daughter and wanted to find something in the vicinity, preferably Indian, that we hadn't tried before. Google led us to Star of India, and it turned out to be the BEST Indian food we've had since moving to Denver! The dishes were fresh, flavorful, perfectly spiced and beautifully presented. The ambience was relaxing, and the customer service was attentive and friendly. We are looking forward to more great dining at Star of India!

Great prices with fresh and delicious food! We have been a couple times and it never disappoints

This is our favorite Indian restaurant. Always fresh and delicious. Nice ambience. Service is usually pretty good.
