Best soul food!! Fried chicken is the bomb!! Love this place. I got fried chicken , collards and mac cheese. I was in heaven. Lord that food the best I have ever had!! You got to try this place!!

Just ordered their ribs and fish meal and it came with two sides y'all. The vibes is beautiful they got these two beautiful ladies up here taking orders and making your food fresh! Please come down here and try this food if y'all are real ones. These ladies are nice and friendly and their food was so good I flew home just to slap my mama (jk, I love my mama) but for real... their food is delicious ! Come by and support these beautiful ladies!

We drove from Sanford after seeing a blurb on Tarheel Traveler. Definitely worth the drive and wait. With leftovers, mom and I have enough food for tomorrow! I had the fish dinner with man & cheese and greenbeans. Mom had smothered pork chops with mac and cheese and cabbage. Generous, generous portion! We got there late in the day, so no desserts left. Bring your patience because you will probably wait at least 45 minutes. People were friendly and you can sit outside or watch TV or listen to some great 60's and 70's music. All this and lemonade for about $40

If you want some down home soul food, this is the place. Family owned which makes it personable and the food was seasoned just right and tasty. Not a lot of salt. The portions were huge. We decided to stay and eat and my wife took her left overs home while I ate all mine. The cook was very professional and clean. Homemade hush puppies yummy.

My friend just came home from the nursing home and I wanted to bring him dinner. There were no places near his home so I drove 8 miles out to find this place and when I saw it, "i knewed der waz a gawd". Lol. I came to this place for the looks!!! Little restaurant off the road that you know has been around for as long as the cook (she's 80 something - looking like she 60). This is a culture of black southern food. Seriously, if you want some good southern food, go to Stancil's grill. When I walked in and saw the big pots, the black women, and the customers sitting patiently, I said "this is not gonna disappoint". As I waited for my food, I was staring. I stared at the order of smothered pork chops, the pork chops, the okra, cabbage, and collards that other patrons had ordered and received. They open the box for you to check your food. I ended up calling my family and ordered smothered pork chops, fried ribs, fried chicken, Mac and cheese, cabbage, string beans, okra, and side of gizzards. I'll be having dinner as I drive back cause it's not gonna make it. Lawd ha mercy. It's good!!!This food got me speaking, writing and thinking of the Color Purple. Definitely will be back. BTW it's a lounge, barber shop and restaurant. Family run and owned. Support this business. There aren't many left.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is delicious, the staff is amazing and they are not stingy with the servings. These people make you feel like family. Love Love Love this place.

Great family owned southern cooked food. The looks aren't the greatest but the food makes up for it! Just walking in and seeing the big pots on the stove take me back and Mrs. Irene(who is in her 80s btw) still cooks everyday. Specials everyday and burgers and such. Oh and some of the best lemonade in NC!
