We truly enjoy the food at Spicy Banda, have ordered it a few times to go. Parking is great, they have their own private lot, and the inside looks clean with tasteful decorations. Food usually is ready right on time or even a bit earlier than predicted. Most of the food are hits, our favorites have been - boiled fish in hot sauce - spicy and not for the weak but delicious in sezchuan flavor- spicy chicken cubes - just the right amount of spice plus bell peppers- mapo tofu - can't go wrongOk to skip unless someone specifically prefers this (ie kids or people who can't eat spicy):- any of the fried rice - nothing that stands out - stir flat noodles with beef

My brother and I have birthdays within a week of each other, so we always do a joint birthday outing with the fam. This year, we wanted something new to all of us so we chose Spicy Banda. Yes I said Spicy Banda. It was once named Spicy Panda until one of the major chains asked them to change their name for whatever reason. They really should leave these locally owned, small business owners alone, but i digress. This spot is located in East Pearland in an up and coming area with lots of new houses, shops and eateries. It anchors a shopping strip with plenty of parking. We came on a Sunday and it was fairly quiet. We did call ahead for our large party and they had a table ready for us when we arrived. A nice lady took really great care of us from start to finish and customer service was great all around. The owner/chef came and checked on us frequently and even ran over to be in our family pics. Spicy Banda specializes in fusion Szechuan cuisine and they do it really well. Our family loves this type of food and we especially love ordering a bunch of things and eating it family style. They definitely don't skimp on portions here and you get your money's worth of food, plus leave with a full belly and leftovers. We usually all order and entrée and pass our food around. Our table came equipped with a lazy Susan which made sharing so much easier. I'll just list what we got with a rating to make it easier. We called ahead to order a Peking Duck which I believe no one at are table other than myself has had. I'm used to getting it in Chinatown, but they do a pretty solid one here. Not as good as some of my favorite spots, but good. It came with pancakes which are like crepes and served with the typical sides of hoisin sauce, green onions and cucumbers. They take the carcass and then make a delicious duck soup that is also served with it. Our crowd now are Peking duck lovers. We also ordered 3 Flavor Pepper Chicken (5/5), Biang Biang Noodles (3/5), Chicken Fried Curry Rice (4/5), Cumin Lamb (4/5), and Crispy Fish in Thai Chili Sauce (5/5). The chicken and fish were the stars of the show and will be a order again item. Everything else was tasty as well though. We were all impressed with the food and very full and content after our meal. Overall, this was a great pick to celebrate our birthdays. Pearland has been surprising me with some of these new locally owned and operated Szechuan spots popping up. Spicy Banda will definitely be going into my regular rotation of food spots!

I've eaten here several times now and ordered to go as well. I love the friendly servers and enjoy dining in if I can! My kid loves it and the family enjoys eating the red oil wontons, hot and sour soup, kung pao chicken, general tso, pad thai and dumplings. I am thankful for this delicious restaurant. I want to try everything on the menu. Smells great at the restaurant and the food looks amazing on everyone's table.

3.5 edging up to 4. Stopped in with the family for dinner. Things were a little dirty on the table and around the restaurant. Nothing major, but enough to notice. They advertises as being a Szechuan restaurant, but when I asked if I could get some Szechuan pepper oil on the side. I was told they do not have that and they could bring me some whole peppercorns. Cheese Crab Puffs: 5 count for $5.60, very bellow average Crab puffs. The worst thing about the meal. I love Crab Puffs, best avoid these, not very big and not much flavor.Dan Dan Noodles: Not bad, but not very good. They had little to no flavor and not spicy at all. Pork Dumplings: Very good. nicely cooked, large dumplings. Would recommend.Orange Chicken: Large chunks of moist chicken, the batter was not too thick. Nicely cooked and the Orange flavor was not overpowering. The broccoli was not cooked or so lightly cooked I could not tell, however I would recommend.House Fried Rice: large portion. With a good balance of proteins and rice. The flavor was fine. All in all it was not a bad plate, but not the best ever. Baby Bok Choy in Garlic Sauce: Good portion of nicely cooked vegetables. If you are looking for a vegetable side I would recommend this.Crispy Fish in Thai Chili Sauce: I will start by saying we got the sauce on the side I think that is the way to go. The dish was a good portion of nicely fried fish. The sauce was very very good, it reminded me of Tomyum soup. Lots of lemongrass and other Thai flavors. I ended up dipping my fish into the sauce and preferred that to having it cover the fish. I will say that the sauce has a very strong flavor and some people my not like it, however I enjoyed it. All in all the experience was a positive one and if I lived closer this would probably be my go to take out Chinese food. Spicy Panda is a solid restaurant, but far from the best I have had. I would recommend and return.

Service and servers were great. Tables were sticky. Cheese wontons were nice and thin and crispy. Wontons we're a little over cooked. Peking duck comes with duck soup. The soup was super good. Soothing. Loved it. The peking duck part was not good. Duck was super oily. Skin was soggy and mushy. Attempting to bring home and air fry it and save the leftovers at home. Overall, I'd come back just for the soup.

Boyfriend and I drive past Spicy Banda often and finally decided to stop in. For a Friday at 6pm they had a steady flow of customers but no wait. Upon our arrival we were prompted to sit wherever we liked. I never caught the name of any of the wait staff / host but they were for the most part very attentive and friendly. With this being our first time we stuck to the classics. - General Tso chicken w/ fried rice - shrimp lo mein - crab Rangoon / cream cheese puff - egg rolls The general Tso chicken was a good portion size and well seasoned. The fried rice was a $1 up charge but in my opinion not very flavorful. The shrimp lo mein was great! Wish there was less onion but that's personal preference. flavor was as expected but didn't leave me feeling full or grease/ oil. Shrimp was kinda bland.. The crab cream cheese puff. I loved the exterior super light and crunchy. But missed the "original" crab puff sweetness. It's pretty much exactly the name cream cheese and crab?... but felt like it was only cream cheese. Egg rolls aren't traditional but boyfriend still said he liked them!

Food is good. This is not a review about the food. I ordered for delivery at 5:50pm and after an hour, no food. I tried calling the restaurant many times, but no answer. Around 7pm, I received an order confirmation text with a delivery time around 7:35pm. Food arrived at 7:15pm via DoorDash. Spicy Banda: Please rethink the way you do delivery.

We ordered 2 lunch specials (pepper steak and sesame chicken) and twice-cooked pork for takeout. The lunch specials came with steamed/fried rice, egg roll, and soup (egg and wonton). The pork was okay. Not impressed with the wonton soup. The rest of the food was okay.
