Elegant place in the heart of the city so a safe spot off walnut.Service was great as nothing was rushed at all which I prefer in my service.Food was delicious, hummus was plenty and so were peppers for apps for 4 people. The chicken and cauliflower was tender and fresh with veggies and sauce.Shrimp was almost jumbo size too which helped soak in the flavor.Busy spot but weekday wasn't too bad. I'd go back again and they have outdoor tables too.

Wow. This was shockingly terrible. Service was awful. Slow, like "no drinks for 20 minutes slow". Our reservation was 7 PM so one could argue that it was busy, but the restaurant was only about half full. This should've been my first clue that it wasn't so great. Multiple items were forgotten that we ordered. Manager walking around grinning without actually seeing what is going on or not going on. You would think in a relatively uncrowded restaurant the manager might notice that a table that had nothing but water glasses on it was completely unattended without drinks for 20 - 25 minutes. Food was mediocre at best. Will never be back. There are far too many great and similar concepts to waste the time and money here. The only things that were even remotely decent were the halibut and the chickpea wedges. The crudite was also above average in terms of veggie selection (watermelon radishes, cucumbers, etc) so I at least had something good to dip with.

We were really disappointed. The cocktails were messy and not aesthetically pleasing and for the price we expected more. The food was fine, not good enough for us to come back, we felt that we've had better Mediterranean food before. The fish plates had a strong stench that was nauseating, like we could smell cooked salmon plate two tables over from us. Cooked fish isn't supposed to have that strong of a scent. The waitress was friendly and warm, hence the 3 stars

First time at Spice Finch and I will definately make a trip back there. Shout out to Ritesh for the invite. The private event space is a place that shouldn't be missed. Definitely check out the wall paper (it is trippy). It is really cool they have 2 private event spaces. We started the meal with hummus on these amazing tasting crudités. There was even this green type dip (I am blanking on what it was but it had peas in it). The next app was the broccoli tabbouleh which was pretty good and healthy. Definitely the broccoli tabbouleh was a good non meat heavy app. It consisted of tomato's, quinoa, and basically grated broccoli. Then we had some blistered peppers. These shishito peppers were so spicy. On our second course there was baked cheese. I really recommend the baked cheese. I loved the mozzarella that was topped with phyllo. The roasted cauliflower was good too. The whole head was perfectly baked and I really liked the use of cashew butter. The third course consisted of Moroccan Skirt Steak, Persian Rice Cake, Chili Chicken Kabobs, Shabazi fries. The shabazi fries were basic but I really liked the harissa aioli. I wasn't a big fan of the Persian rice cakes (they just tasted like crisp rice). The Moroccan Skirt Steak was so good. I really liked the marinade. The Chili Chicken Kabobs were perfect! I highly recommend this dish. It was basically a big piece of chicken on a kabob stick. I really liked how the kabobs had a kick to it.The desserts consisted of ice cream on a brownie and a phyllo type treat. I really liked the ice cream and the brownie was pretty delicious as well.

This restaurant has been on my list for a while now. Finally, there's an event coming up, and I'm so excited to try it! They serve mostly vegetarian dishes here. Here's what we had:Broccoli Tabbouleh: So fresh. It's healthy but tasty at the same time.Blistered Peppers: Shishito peppers- sweet and a kick of spicy. Baked Cheese and Roasted Cauliflower: Both were a bit too sweet for my taste but still good.Persian Rice Cake: Don't order this; it has no taste.Shabazi Fries: These fries are so good and addictive, seasoned with some type of salt.Chicken Kabab: The meat is tender and flavorful, paired with a delicious sauce. Watch out for the chili pepper--it's spicy!Skirt Steak: Cooked perfectly and tender, with a bonus of fresh cucumber and spiced cashews.I love their dessert--custard cake and brownie topped with ice cream. So soft and so good. The service is good, but the food came out very slowly. It was a Tuesday night, so I'm not sure why they were so busy. The restaurant has a romantic vibe, good for couples, with dim lighting. Overall, everything is great!

Very disappointed in this place after having a phenomenal experience last year, we went back for our anniversary. The food was horrible, everything from the dips to the chicken and fish lacked flavor. Our salmon dish had a weird smell and the chicken thighs were not flavored at all. Our waitress was fine but not very warm and didn't do anything for our anniversary although she was notified. I would not waste my time or money here. None of the food or drinks were remotely memorable.

I enjoyed eating dinner here. Spice Finch is such a cute restaurant and definitely a nice date night spot! This isn't your typical traditional Mediterranean spot as they drew flavor inspiration from surrounding areas, but I loved the meal overall. This place is definitely pricey- especially for the smaller serving size. The trio of spreads was a nice way to try multiple spreads at once. I was surprised by how little of each spread was given (compared to other restaurants in the city). It was a good size to leave you feeling satisfied though. The flatbread was covered in oil, which I did enjoy. I felt it took away from the flavor of the spreads. Our waitress recommended the beet salad, which was uniquely smokey! I've never eaten beets cooked like that and I am so glad I got to try it. For our entree, my friend and I shared the peri-peri shrimp. This wasn't my favorite. It almost tasted Italian- like shrimp in pasta sauce. I would definitely try the lamb or chicken if I were to come back.

This review is 3.5 stars rounded up to 4! This restaurant is very cute and spacious inside. The food was super great and flavorful. The chickpea wedges were unique and I really enjoyed the dipping sauce they came with. The chicken kebab was juicy and tangy, and I liked the bit of spice from the chilis. Got the brownie for dessert which you can't go wrong with (although I wish they added more halva to mine!) I really enjoyed everything I ordered and the portion sizes were really great for the price!Where this place fell a little flat was the service. The employees were generally nice but the wait times between courses were way too long. My party and I all ordered everything at the beginning so I think the courses couldve been timed better. Then when we got our check at the end of the meal, there was an extra item on our check that nobody at my table ordered. When we told the waitress, she sort of questioned us a little bit and then after telling her again, she said she would go "investigate", which meant that we had to wait even longer to leave. Although she was still nice and I totally understand that mixups happen, my group and I just didn't love all the waiting around we had to do as we had another commitment after dinner to go to! Overall this place was great and I would probably come back to try more things on the menu!

This restaurant is considered Mediterranean inspired, which was a good decision, because it can't quite compete against the other actual Mediterranean restaurants out here. The dishes are just a bit too stingy; we ordered the trio of spreads ($15) and the bowls were tiny, almost the size of condiment cups. There was also only one flatbread that came with the dips, and a small bowl of crudités.Also ordered the Broccoli Tabbouleh ($15), Mushroom Nwassar Pasta ($18), Duck Wings ($18), Chickpea wedges ($12), Roasted Cauliflower ($18), and Halibut ($39). My favorites were the chickpea wedges and cauliflower. The other dishes felt a bit unbalanced in flavor. We did have really amazing service though, I just didn't feel super satisfied with the dishes we ordered.
