Spanky's Live Crawfish

Ordered a couple of sacks this weekend for a pre-easter crawfish boil. The bugs were advertised as field mix over the phone. The quality of the sax were excellent, more jumbos than any other size in the field mix and very few dead. They smelled great when we loaded them up, didn't require extensive purging to get them clean and edible. Very pleased as always.

I had a very good experience ordering 50 lbs of crawfish for a party. Crawfish were fresh and 100% alive. Crawfish size was medium to large, leaning towards medium, with very few small ones. Crawfish are trucked in from Louisiana.You have to order early in the week for a weekend event. They sell by the bag only (around 30 lbs).Staff was very friendly and helpful in ordering and pick up process.

My husband picked up a sack of crawfish this past weekend for a boil at our house and we were so pleased! First time using Spanky's for crawfish and we will definitely be coming back for the next one! Almost a dollar less per pound compared with H‑E‑B. We purchased a sack of crawfish here on two separate occasions and were very pleased. Even though I was told they were not "select" grade, the crawfish we received were all very good sized and very, very few dead. That's a win, win in my opinion. This will be our go to crawfish store from now on.

Not sure if they're open for business, we tried calling - no one picked up .... we called again and left a voicemail and no one has called us back.....so we decided to drive here and it's closed....

Call them if you want them! You have to call ahead of time and schedule a visit. Don't show up there without calling first. That being said, they were so good, not a single dead on in our bag! They were huuuge! Like little lobsters! Big meaty claws, fairly clean considering they hadn't been purged. I was only going for 5 pounds but the sell them by the sack so I had to get 28 pounds. But the price was good and so worth it! I highly recommend this spot. But also it's not H‑E‑B so don't go in expecting anything outside of the live crawfish.

Bought 3 sacks on Palm Sunday. Boy were we pleased. Quite a few were very large. They were clean and we had just a few dead bugs. Ordering was easy and we were able to pick them up on Sunday morning. We certainly will return for our next purchase.

Spanky has great crawfish. I've been getting mud bugs from him for several years. I don't go any place else.
