SoulGood Food Truck

Did not disappoint AT ALL! I've visited this food truck park a couple times considering it's conveniently located from my place of residence. It's an okay park. Due to COVID (I assume)...there's no where to actually sit and enjoy your meal, so everything is purchase and leave. I had been planning to visit SoulGood for a while and I finally got to them during their business hours. Everything on my plate was delicious. From the fried lobster and catfish to the mac and cheese and fried okra. Nothing was over seasoned or under seasoned. Served hot and fresh too! I will definitely return for more!

After shopping at the galleria I was in search of some goooood food! I noticed there are a lot of food trucks in Houston. I decided to go to the food truck galleria. Here you will find a variety of food trucks to choose from. The SoulGood Truck stuck out the most to me. One very important, you'll need patience. The food is cooked to order. I ordered the two meat combo with two sides and a strawberry soulade (their version of koolaid) . Chicken, fish, Mac n cheese, and green beans. It would take 30 minutes for my food, that wasn't a problem for me. I decided to try another food truck as I waited. The food is delicious, worth the wait for sure. The breading on both the chicken and fish is very delicious. The fish isn't fried with your typical cornmeal, it's much finer. The chicken had the perfect crunch. They also added a piece of complimentary cornbread. The cornbread is moist, a nice addition to the meal. Restaurant quality food for 20 bux! Don't be intimidated by the wait, give them a try

Pulled up ordered 2 orders of 2 meats/ 2 sides Catfish and shrimp Mac & Cheese on 2 and a side of spaghetti/ and 2 Soul-aidesI was passing through town and wanted to see about the hype. $59 total Wait time 32 minutes Food was delicious soul-aide was just ok.. Cons: *All of the sides offered were not available. *They didn't have hot sauce available *I saw the cashier fishing nat out of a drink wasn't mine but.. (and yes I still drink my soul aide ***But the topper was NO SILVERWARE... How are you a food truck charging sit down prices with no silverware? I'm heading to the airport trying to figure out how to eat mac n chz from a cup ‍....#DoBetter

Tried this for the first time at the food truck park, the line was long so prepare yourself. There are several options to choose from. I kept it simple and ordered the wings and fries. They were good just not I'll return again for these wings good. They were packed with flavor but also salty to me. I did love however that I was given all flats.

Here's why I left one star, this was my first time ordering from this place. I was actually super excited to try them until I tasted the fish and salmon bites that were completely fishy!! Despite it being a fish it should never taste like it just came straight from the sea!!! I'm a pescatarian and I know when the fish is clean properly! This place do not clean their fish!!! RED flag!! I will be contacting the health department!!! I do not recommend this place until they know how to properly clean a fish/shrimp!!

We love coming here for the consistency, each time ordering a plate it comes out deliciously the same as the first bite. Pictured is the 2 Entree Plate. 2 pieces of fried catfish and 5 fried shrimp sided with spaghetti and our fav mac and cheese served with cornbread($19). The cornbread is technically included into each meal BUT you ARE play +$1 for it. For drinks I do love getting their Soul-aid($6) it's like kool-aid mixed with lemonade or even tea? Maybe? You have to try it, I get it each visit! Then we saw this new item, the Frozen Entanglement($8). It was okay, I'd relate it to a wine cooler that I can pick up from the frozen section. No difference. *Their menu changes/switches Daily! They open by 12pm so if interested, I suggest checking out their socials first. They upload their "Menu of the Day" picture frequently, just visit their IG @soulgoodestreeteatz or Facebook Page!

Wanted to try out this soul food truck after seeing it on social media. This is a food truck lot and its very minimal parking. Its about 9-10 trucks. Even though the service was moving pretty fast; they didn't have many options to choose from. Only Salmon, Pork Chops and 3 sides.I ordered Pork Chops with Yams and fried okra; along with a soul ade.The Pork Chops and orka were battered, seasoned and fried nicely; also tasted great. The sweet potatoes not so much. They were cooked but lacked seasoning of any kind. The soul ade tasted like a bomb pop; from the ice cream truck; delicious. Overall the food was good but it would be nice to have more options.

Came here to try it out after seeing it on social media. Looked good so ordered the fried fish and shrimp plate and came with two sides. I got Mac and cheese and fries.Mac and cheese taste like the blue box Kraft Mac and cheese Fish - had bones in it I kept spitting out Shrimp - rubbery Fries were decent thick cut fries throw a little seasoning on em and good to go Cornbread - I needed some sugar, honey or butter in mine so this didn't taste quite like what i like.They had a lot of customers and it seemed promising but I can't lie, I'd rather go to Mikkis Cafe off west bellfort and 59. Sad to say I feel like I wasted $25 but this is just my opinion.Think I might be done with food trucks

They used to be better months back (in old location). Now they don't know how to manage time well and certainly don't know how to manage large crowds. I was told it would take 20 mins. Took 50+. The excuse when I went to check after waiting 25 mins was "they had too many tickets" and my order has at least 10 more mins. I came back in 15 mins and was told they will call my ticket number once it's ready. I had 2 $10 plates by the way. So one meat and one side in each. I also seen plenty of ppl who ordered before me walk up and get there order, hence why I went up to check on mine. When I received the plates I thought it would be piping hot like it used to be, ESPECIALLY after waiting 50 mins. The one piece of fish was cold and soggy, okra burnt, and second plate was decent - at least the spaghetti was hot I guess. I would've much rather donated the $20 I spent and/or the two sorry plates I received to the homeless man laying outside on the ground in front of the truck, before I wasted 50 mins of my valuable time waiting

Service is slow, workers are rude . Took 50 mins to get my food and they were out of cornbread. I called before hand to ask if they were out of anything they didn't mention this. It is crazy it took 50 mins to get this plate and people who ordered after me got their food before me. Not worth the time or money. There is nothing special about this food it is bland and my plate was 22.00, just go to a restaurant.
