Soul Goode

The first time I stopped by they had just run out of chicken, so I decided to come back another day. The second time, I came in after work one evening to grab something quick and delicious. I can say that Soul Goode delivered on both counts!The ambiance was comforting and laid back. I had a few questions about the menu and the staff was helpful. The restaurant was quiet and empty when I arrived, however soon after I ordered business started picking up.I ordered two dinners. The first one was the Fried Yard Bird with Green Beans and fried okra. The second plate was the Smothered Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Yams.I enjoyed both types of chicken but will give the edge to the fried yard bird. It was fried just right and gave me the feeling of a home cooked skillet of fried chicken. I could almost smell my mom's kitchen when I opened the to go box. The green beans and fried okra didn't disappoint. The cornbread was on point! That was the best cornbread I've had at a restaurant in a long time. It tasted and felt freshly made. The mashed potatoes were great. The yams were so good! They are a must try! Overall I devoured everything I ordered at Soul Goode. This has to be the best soul food restaurant I've tried in Pearland so far. This southern comfort food reminds me of something my mom would have made back home. I'll definitely be back here for that home cooking style. Looking forward to trying the Fish, Pork Chop, Fried Green Tomatoes and Banana Pudding next time.

Very good food.Seasoned well and the spaghetti was smacking this was a food truck was able to feed two people with plate size we loved the way they fried the fish and chicken. Customer Service excellent.

Catfish and spaghetti wit the cabbage and corn bread - chefs kiss ‍ the service was on point and timely and the ambience was good on a sunny day so I sat inside and ate even though I got it to go lol

I'm a native Chicagoan and when I'm homesick here in Houston, I go to Soul Goode! I Love the music, love the vibe, the customer service is amazing, but most of all I love the food!! Order the lobster, spaghetti, chicken, catfish, cornbread and more your taste buds will be dancin'.Now hurry and getchu some!!

Crispy nice batter. Came out hot and fresh. Was hot and fresh. Got packed around closing. Good to support a new black owned business.

My son and I arrived in Pearland early and our room wasn't ready so we came here to grab a bite. We ordered catfish and mashed potatoes and shrimp and fries. The meals were $10 each which was wonderfully priced! Everything was good and the customer service was great too!

The catfish is fried to perfection, the spaghetti is amazing and the sweet tea and lemonade are BOMB ! 10/10 recommend

This place is smaller, but we felt comfortable. They do bring the food and drinks to you and you must clean up after yourself.(as you should!!!) The catfish was fried to perfection, it wasn't over seasoned and it was fresh. The spaghetti was good, it had just enough sauce and the cornbread had the perfect amount of sweetness. Me and my daughter did not enjoy the macaroni, it was too cheesy. We did take the rest of our food home except the Mac. Service was great, they answered all questions. I would go back for the fish for sure.

Food was delicious and seasoned to perfection. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I tried the oxtail plate with Mac n cheese and cornbread. The cornbread was not dry and paired well with the oxtail. Would definitely come back!

I am disappointed. A soul food restaurant that doesn't know how to make cabbage. Refried chicken and 6 shrimp, I am appalled. Half of my order was missing Thank God, because the food I did rreceive was atrocious. They should hsve keep the whole order. A former customer.
