I honestly don't know where to start but I can say that I am very disappointed with the meal that I received. I'm not sure if they were in a rush to fix the meal but it wasn't appealing to the eye at all. The food was bland, the meat was very dry, and the red beans was watery. But to each it's own but if I do eat there again, I'll get the seafood.

I've passed by many times. I looked them up on Yelp. I stopped by Sunday afternoon and it was busy, that's a good sign. Well, so many decisions...SO, I ordered two fried pork chop dinners. One reason I ordered the pork chop dinners was because at least 5 or 6 customers ordered them. Must be good! They were. My husband had no complaints. He enjoyed his dinner. One dinner had fresh green beans with Mac and cheese. The other had cabbage with yams. Came with rice and gravy with corn bread. Great customer service. Serving areas looked neat and clean. I will return to try other items.

Excellent customer service . Good food . It seems to be a very family oriented business . I recommend getting your meal like oxtails when they are first made so that they are just right

The cornbread is the standout dish here, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. However, I was disappointed with the peach cobbler; it arrived ice-cold in the middle, overly spiced with nutmeg, and too doughy. The mashed potatoes were decent, but they were the only other item worth mentioning. I'm still puzzled about the meatloaf; it was inedible and should definitely be removed from the menu.

After consulting multiple people we landed at Soulfood by Catherine, and it was the best decision we could have made. Miracle and Tam made our night. Food- wow. Best fried pork ribs I've ever had, collared greens, red beans and cabbage were our favorite sides. But the Mac n cheese, yams, and basic mashed potatoes with gravy were all fantastic. Fried chicken was a perfect crispy skin and moist meat. Staff- friendly, thoughtful, prompt. Ambiance- exactly what you want, basic decor, plenty of seats of paper towels for when it gets messy. Going back for the oxtails and chitterlings this weekend. 10/10 worth the drive.

Food had hair in cabbage and red beans so gross. I can't believe this happen. It was so unbelievable his the hair just came out. My stomach is turnt.

Very disappointed. Had to try the fried ribs. All but one was wildly overcooked and thus very hard and dry. The one that wasn't overcooked was a better eat, but all were over salted terribly. I also think this dish also needed some sort of sweet heat dipping sauce. The sides: mac & cheese, collards, mashed potatoes and gravy. None was particularly remarkable. The gravy was not even a gravy; just a grey blob. Pretty tasteless. Once I dressed of the collards and mac with Tony C's and hot sauce with wine vinegar on the collards, they were better.Also decided to try both the lemon cake and lemon pound cake. Was not thrilled with either. First, you couldn't tell which was the pound cake as neither had the requisite density. So the unfrosted one will be pound cake, and it was a miss on the density, lemon flavor and buttery-ness. It was extremely moist, though. The frosted cake was very moist, but again, almost totally lacking in lemon flavor and zest. The frosting was a joke! It was just confectioners sugar and water(!!), and it was a runny mess.

Used Urbes Eats to order and have food delivered today, unfortunately received a partial order missing the main course the meat. Notify the restaurant and receive a message stating I will nBe notify by email almost three hours later still no response this is very sad first ordering at this place and last. I bought chitterlings from Catherine's and they were not clean. I was wondering why they was so tuff. I tried to reboil the. But as I was getting ready to eat one I paid attention. That they where pulling apart and I noticed that the membrane was still attached.
