The portion sizes here are very generous while still being affordable. There's plenty of parking and seating, in a casual atmosphere. I was able to order the Jjajangmyeon with no meat as I'm a vegetarian and the employees were very helpful and nice. The curry bean curd was delicious and I'll definitely return to try more of their menu! I will note that there were no chopsticks on the table, but I'm not sure if they're available upon request though. They also give you free "chips" for the table while you wait and fortune cookies when you pay.

Huge restaurant. Came here with my sister since she was coming in from hobby. food was okay. Not terrible. We got the Mongolian beef, the crispy duck and their black bean Korean noodles. The crispy duck was interesting because they have hoisin sauce as dipping. Parking can be limited if the place is packed. Service is great.

My friend and I went to this spot on Tuesday for lunch. Plenty of seating inside and there's lots of space outside for parking so there were no problems in regards to that. My friend and I ordered the Pan Fried Dumplings (6) for appetizers and they were great- each dumpling was big and the filling was juicy and packed with meat and veggies. For the entree, my friend got the Mongolian Beef w/Fried Rice Lunch Special and I ordered the Jajangmyeon. The Mongolian Beef was delicious but unfortunately the fried rice was a let down. The jajangmyeon tasted great though and the portion was generous. I also appreciated how the meal came with wonton soup and fried wonton strips. As for the service, everyone here was very kind and they constantly refilled our waters and checked in on our dining experience. Overall, this is a great Korean-Chinese spot and I hope to come back!

My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant after a nearby place we were planning on going to had closed early. In fact, a lot of restaurants in this area close fairly early, which I'm guessing is because the neighborhood isn't that great. We came here because they have Korean-Chinese dishes like jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk on the menu. We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and have eaten here twice in one week. Food: The food here is excellent; it's authentic Korean-Chinese food. Even their side dishes--onions, danmuji (pickled radish)--are super old-school. I should know, my mother's side of the family owned a restaurant in Daegu over 30 years ago, and they served the same dishes! At our first visit, we tried the ganjjajang, the jjamppong, and tangsuyuk. Everything was good. At our second visit, we tried the gganpoonggi, shrimp toast (menbosha), and jjajangbap. Again, every dish was on point. The best comparison I have to this restaurant is Paik's Noodles all the way up in Koreatown (Long Pointe area). This restaurant has more variety and the flavors are old-school. Both are excellent, but for us, Shan Hu is way closer to home. Service: The service here is excellent, too. The owner and his wife are attentive (I noticed that the owner speaks both Korean and Chinese, in addition to English). The food comes out promptly and it's piping hot. I like that they have fountain sodas rather than canned sodas. No complaints here. We really enjoyed our two visit here and look forward to coming often.

I used to love this place pre pandemic then after they became inconsistent. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes it not for the price it should be the best all the time.

This is my second review, Was just there earlier today. This is my favorite place to get jjajangmyun (black bean noodles) I always come here when I'm craving it. Their pan fried dumplings were big, delicious and juicy. They did forget to give me my utensils, but everything else was great! Will continue to come here!

10/30/21Quality/Quantity - Good.Steamed Dumpling (6) - Good size, but needed soy sauce for flavor.Ja-Jang Myun - I thought I was spoiled with Bay Area food (Ja-Jang dishes) or maybe I was accustomed to their taste...? It was good, but not the same as the Bay Area.Maybe I just needed more flavor or salt?House Fried Rice - My favorite - comfort foodAll decent quantities, especially for the price.Atmosphere - Very busy today. Had a Birthday party taking half the restaurant.I especially like your "Who's Who at Shan Hu" wall.Clean bathrooms.Small but enough parking spaces.Service - Good. Quick.Price - $28.11 + tip; another good meal for a GREAT price.Owner Suggestion - Keep up the good work. Nice good business you got here. I would invest in a little more updates to the place.
