A Jamaican spot found at a gas station that is closed is one of those unique finds in the Atlanta area. To some the prices may be a bit on the high side but the food is bussin. Oxtails DO NOT disappoint!! There is no menu posted but you can find them on IG at @scotchies_sandysprings. This is a one man show. Food is fresh to order. Strictly takeaway only. Great customer service. I know there are plenty of Jamaican places to eat in the Atlanta area but this should be on your list especially if you are in or close to Sandy Springs.

I wish I had of read the reviews before I made the drive. This is a food truck that is not open on weekends. The hours show them as being open on the weekends. Businesses need to keep their hours updated.Lucky for me, there was another place I wanted to drive 3 minutes away.

This was great, i did a quick look at places near my hotel and found this place. The woman working was just wonderful. I had in mind what I wanted thinking of past visits to Jamaica and was not disappointed. The Jerk Chicken was very flavorful, I got the medium as she said the hot was like ghost pepper hot. The medium was good for me. They also had two flavors of Ting which I do not see often in the US. If you get a chance and want a wonderful flavor of Jamaica with great service you should give them a shot.

This is the food truck which is closed on the weekends. My review is for the restaurant 6385 Roswell Rd NE (for some reason Yelp has that address as closed but it's open and located behind a gas station). Oxtails were AMAZING! I didn't care for the rice. It had a heavy coconut flavor and was somewhat sweet. I didn't like the plantains. I don't think they were fresh. What I mean is, they were fried, left to sit out, as if waiting for someone to order them and then added to the plate. Not made to order. I dislike reheating plantains. I enjoy them fresh off the oil. I didn't care for the Island lemonade drink which was mixed red and yellow drinks with fruits. It tasted like Capri Sun. Maybe next time I'll just try the lemonade only (yellow drink). I wanted patties and I was informed no patties were made today because he didn't feel like making them. Customer service from Kevin was nice. Will I come back? It's a toss up. The oxtails were really good but for me to drive out here for just that nah because I didn't enjoy the sides and the plate, albeit huge, was pricey. Also I presume I got the large. Or maybe it's only one serving size because I wasn't asked if I wanted small or large. The oxtails plate was a WHOPPING $36. I think I'll stick to Creole Orleans Catering (Greenbriar Mall food court) or Nice Mon cafe (Stone Mountain).

Good authentic food. Came in and tried the curry chicken which offers to the option of spicy or mild which is nice. The sauce truly uses the infamous scotch bonnet peppers known in Jamaica, so it definitely has a kick. The rice and peas and side of cabbage for veggies was good also. The portions are large so don't feel bad if you can't finish it in one sitting. Not to mention the popular "mystery" lemonade. At a glance you can tell it's not your traditional lemonade, but it is SOOO refreshing & addictive! Before I knew I had finished the drink and looking for a refill. You can tell it's a fan favorite because folks started rolling in after we arrived and everyone got the drink - some even took it by the gallons.The owner Kevin is very friendly and passionate about his cooking. I'm amazed at how he operates it all as he is the cashier, cook and server - but he managed it all. With the maw/paw type setting it feels like you've come over for dinner at someone's house. Definitely will come back when in town.

I've been searching for an authentic Jamaican restaurant in the Atlanta area and I think I may have found it!I ordered the oxtail and it was around $32; if you would like to opt for a cheaper option the brown stew is around $20. Both were delicious! The owner, Kevin, gave great customer service and even sent me on my way with a sample of cucumber ginger juice : )There isn't a menu so call ahead (404-482-8616) to order/ see what they have for the day.

Best Food I've had in a long time! I recommend the Mac & Cheese + Oxtails+Brown Chicken Stew!

$57 for an oxtail platter on Uber eats is crazy. $39 is already to much. I understand the price of beef is going up but $60 is wild.

I visited the Alpharetta location and the food & service were both excellent! Fresh ingredients and authentic Caribbean cuisine. The portions are huge! Really 2 meals in one. Definitely going back!
