The Point Kitchen and Bar

As a local, I used to really like this place but the last three times got worse and worse. A couple months (maybe less) ago for breakfast, the mugs had a coating that was peeling off and I kept having to pull pieces off my lip. I let the server know and they agreed they needed to be thrown out. A few weeks ago for lunch, they were still using the peeling cups, AND the calamari was way undercooked. I took it home and air fried it, then it was betterTonight I went for dinner. About 1/3 or 1/2 of my steak was inedible due to a ribbon of tough gristle. I couldn't chew it and break it down. In fact I could barely cut it. After a long wait for the server I let the waitress know and showed her. She said she'd tell someone and a couple minutes later she brought the check and didn't say another word. No discount, no apologies. Bye Point. What a bummer.

After a long work and Holiday week it was nice to get out to The Point. The whole place has a nice vibe. Its well lit and warm. You can sit at the bar, a table or a booth style seating. There are people of all ages there. Some enjoying the TV sports screen but nice and low key there. On our Particular nighttime visit our waitress stood out to us more then the rest, her name was Jules. She was friendly attentive and spot on through out our night. We will definitely be back. Appetizers, wine and couple old fashions.

We came for brunch on a Saturday and our server was very nice and took good care of our large table. The food was good, but my mom said that her Green Scramble was a little unbalanced with too many artichokes and not enough eggs. And my aunt wanted more hollandaise sauce because her Benedict didn't come with enough on it. Good menu, good drinks, could execute slightly better. The coffee was great but they only have drip, no espresso bar. The restaurant is huge and would be great for a large reservation or party.

Six of us went for dinner tonight. The food was fabulous! We each had something different and everyone loved their choice!Service was outstanding. Can't wait to go back

I ordered steak rare, it wasn't cooked rare but whatever. The kicker is that my wife has celiac and she got glutened. That means there was cross contamination somewhere. They could have not washed their utensils or cups, it might've but in the melons. Whatever. She didn't touch her entree cause she got sick from the honeydew. We asked to have it removed and they just didn't.I've worked in restaurants and we've all been in restaurants right? You can go send it back because you didn't like it or it wasn't cooked right and get it removed. They refused. The manager didn't even want to talk to us, and obviously my wife is sick now so I was just trying to leave asap. The meal was average at best, and I don't understand the gumption of a restaurant refusing to take off the meal when we didn't touch it. Terrible experience all because of management.

Took the family here for breakfast, the carnitas Benedict was delicious! Great for families and for date nights!

It was a real surprise how good our food was last night. We were a party of 10. Half of us got steaks of different kinds. One person got a chicken dish and a couple people got fish and someone got a hamburger. Everyone loved their meal.! Personally I had the steak with blue cheese on it. I never had anything so tasty in my life. I highly recommend that it was a flat iron steak with blue cheese. We loved our waiter. She was so efficient and good looking good personality and Sweet.

This is a fun local spot that has amazing brunch on the weekends. Their Bloody Mary's are made from scratch and are the best in town. I usually order the veggie scramble and add chorizo, and it comes out just to my liking every time. They also have TVs so if you're looking for a sports game, this is the place to go. If you prefer to enjoy breakfast or lunch outside, they have a cute patio in the back. I highly recommend coming here for your weekend brunch or even for a delightful dinner.

I went there on Feb 1st, with friends, one ordered off the lunch side. I ordered just from the sides, and 3rd friend got the scramble. We were all happy with the food, crispy bacon was the best.We will be back.Thanks Jose and your team for great service-

Hello, I went to dinner and was very much looking forward to it! I ordered the asparagus soup that was really not soup at all! It was thick like baby food even thicker than baby food and was stringy! Did not finish it! I also ordered the Castroville chicken that was suppose to have a balsamic glaze and mashed potatoes but I didn't even see the potatoes because there was at least 2 inches of liquid in the bowl/plate that basically dissolved into the liquid! It was basically like a chicken soup with artichokes! Was not enjoyable at all! The service was fast and the server was nice! The restaurant was quiet and was accommodating! I hate to be so negative because I really don't like to be like this and I probably should have said something! The roasted beet salad looked good my husband said it was pretty good!
