Moroccan tagine bowl (roasted butternut squash, yukon potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, ginger, garlic) (vegan) - The cooling cucumber sauce was too spicy for me! I was sweating bullets but the flavors were really good. Allowed me to substitute the saffron rice for salad. Service was fast and efficient.Next time order - saffron rice balls.

Going to come right out and say it, I've been waiting to try the Saffron Balls from this place. After much waiting and almost forgetting about them, I finally got to try them out!I just went with their Mini Saffron Balls since they were at Movable Feasts and I had already ordered many other things. You get 3 deep fried Saffron rice balls for $5, that's such a great deal! The crust was thick, crunchy and definitely made to order as it was almost too hot to handle. The inside was filled with Saffron infused rice, tiny pieces of grilled chicken-I believe and a sour component which I think is cheese. It was savory, earthy and tangy. It also comes with a chipotle type sauce as well as a yogurt/sour cream one. I was only able to get through 1 and a half of these as it was quite filling. Talk about bang for your buck!So glad to finally have tried their Saffron Balls!

Grilled Chicken Salad - 5 StarsThis salad is packed full of fresh chopped romaine lettuce, apples, grapes, blueberries, tangerines, strawberries and candied walnuts. After it's all loaded up they layer a perfectly seasoned and grilled chicken breast on top of it.The dressing is a tangerine vinaigrette that is almost not needed cause the salad is so fresh and tasty. Thank you for putting the dressing on the side so I could only what I wanted.Love their tacos and saffron balls but decided to go a little healthier today.

The Baba Kabob Truck had the lines today, no doubt due to an boast on their truck they were voted the best in Silicon Valley.locale: OTG san jose evergreen (5/30/15)eats: crunchy saffron rice balls (3/5) labeled "best seller"-"saffron rice, chopped grilled chicken, gouda & mozzarella cheese, greek yogurt, encrusted in panko, deep fried" -huge disappointment!*i really don't like to eat rice so that wasn't overcomed, rice ball had nada taste, only crunchy pando and the zesty dipping sauce were pluses.rice strands:-quick service once order placed. 10ish minutes to wait-rice bowls may be the winners, doubt i will like the rice, proteins have to be great to win me over.

This is one of my favorites! I have had a few different items off their menu and have liked each one. Their vegetarian dish, the Tagine, is my go-to favorite. It's Butternut squash and potatoes served over saffron rice and very tasty! The Grilled chicken salad is really good too. Today I tried the beef sliders and, which was recommended by a co-worker, and I was very pleased with the balance of flavor and spice plus a crunchy texture of coleslaw. As food trucks go, I think the food is well worth the price and I look forward to their next visit to my workplace!

Would have given it 2.5 stars if that were an option. My sister and I got the chicken kabob sandwich and the beef kabob tacos to share. The sandwich was okay; pretty bready and not too flavorful. We both had to add the chipotle sauce to make it taste better. The beef tacos were a little better becuase they definitely had more favor. Overall, the food was just okay. I wouldn't return. Service was excellent. Super friendly guys working in the truck and the food was ready pretty quickly.

OMG it's the sauce!!!!!I had the grilled chicken over rice which came with a fried saffron rice ball and veggie kabob. The cost was $11 bucks. The chipotle sauce was so good that I had to run back to the truck and ask...whats the sauce???? He said it's their homemade chipotle. It's too bad this truck only frequents the South Bay :-(

The Grilled Chicken Rice bowl is a must try for lunch. It is actually saffron rice served with grilled chicken, grilled corn & a side of chipotle aioli. The chicken and rice were all quite well done. It wasn't bland for my taste but could have liked my chicken/rice to be a little more spicy.Value for money? Definitely for a food truck! One of the best food trucks. Would like to try their saffron balls next time though.

Love the Baba Kabob Truck! I have eaten from the truck a few times now and when I found out the truck was going to be by my work this past week I took a couple of my coworkers with me to try it out :)I ordered the beef kabob plate and instead of the yogurt sauce asked for the chipotle sauce. That sauce is amazing and I would put it on everything if i could. The rice place is the perfect size and comes with a veggie kabob that is freshly grilled. One of my coworkers ordered the salad with chicken (had fresh fruit and a yummy dressing) and my other coworker ordered a rice plate like me, but had hers with grilled chicken. We also ordered their special of the week "saffron balls" which was safforn rice mixed with chicken, cheese and spices shaped like a ball and deep fried. Amazing! They are pretty filling so we bought an order of 2 and brought them back to our office to share w/ everyone. I would say that their only downside is that it is a little pricey and the wait can be on the long side if they are busy. But then again, you are gettIng delicious, freshly made food right off the grill. It's also a good sign they are busy because that means people like the food. So in the end its worth itWill def be visiting the truck again!

Thanks for all the positive reviews of the Crunch Saffron Rice Balls! Tried them today ($5.50 for 3) and they were fantastic.Presentation: Beautiful golden brown panko crust. Sauce stripes and chive garnish made it look premium.Eating: Great crunch (no doughiness). Filling had good balance of chicken, rice and cheese. Saffron aroma is mild. Sauce is mildly spicy. Flavor balance is even...I think kicking up one of the components up (spiciness, saffron aroma or cheesiness) would put it at the top level.Service: People were friendly enough. Know that the rice balls are fried fresh so it took about 10 minutes to get them...be patient...worth the wait.I also tried the Sharbat ($2). Refreshing with mild tartness (sour cherry) and sweetness (rose syrup). Recommended.Good job Baba Kabob!
