Absolutely a great find! I was very surprised at the quality. Hummus was great. I got the chicken skewer plate. Comes with side salad and rice. The chicken was juicy and soft and the rice was so flavorful! Oh man, adding to my go to list. Service was excellent. New neighborhood spot to go to!

A perfect gem in South SF that we were very lucky to come across when in search of middle eastern food. The restaurant has maybe 10-12 tables. They are fast with service though. Service was impeccable and the serving staff are very attentive. The provided updates on our orders throughout the dining experience. We opted for the flat bread with minced meat, lamb special and the Adana kabob. Every item was prepared to perfection. You don't see the dish like the lamb special served in many Turkish restaurants and it was a great experience trying it. What a lovely combination!!! The Adana kabob was very tender and full of flavor. Portions are generous and satisfy a hungry one!We also opted for the baklava ice cream which was heavenly and like nothing I have tried before. This is a kind of restaurant you go out of your way to dine at!! Hats off to the staff!

Located on the edge of residential, and a strip of 4 or 5 restaurants, this is a rather small shotgun style kitchen/dining space. We dropped in after a movie around 7:45 on a Saturday night. They close at 9pm but figured we were there early enough that it wouldn't be an issue. There were a few other tables seated and dining. Interior is pretty straight forward with the host/cashier right at the front, the tables along one wall, and the kitchen on the other wall the entire length. Our host was quick to seat us, and we ordered. Service was ok, but all the staff was literally cleaning up to close while we were ordering. I really hated that they left the front door wide open to have the staff coming and going with the nights garbage, and stock for the next day. IT WAS FREAKING COLD! We ordered the Muhammara as an appetizer which was good and on the 'rustic' side. The lamb shank came out as others have posted pics many times over, covered under the shroud of a pita dome. Interesting from the 'show' aspect as the server cuts around the edges to reveal the lamb shank, rice and dolma underneath. For as fun as that aspect is, the lamb itself was dry and rather flavorless. The Beyti was nicely presented, but that dish as well was rather flat. Both dishes required the garlic sauce that they offered. Be sure to use it! We weren't necessarily rushed to get out, but definitely felt the urgency based on how they were all rushing to clean the table as we were finished with each plate, and then all the other tables were cleaned off, and the busboy stood by the table just waiting....

This place is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. The staff is nice and helpful and the service is decently fast too. The plate's portion size was a bit small and I wish it had more chicken kebab on there. Wraps were a decent size though! The lebneh and signature sofra bread was to die for! The ambiance is simple and befitting for a place that's an affordable midweek dinner or lunch place. Wouldn't mind trying a couple more items from their menu another time. Also, their black tea is pretty good and serves about 3-4 people at once. The place is next to a smart and final and has some street parking too. No reservations needed. Only giving it 4 stars as the portion size could have been a bit larger for the price we paid.

This is my first time trying this place and tried their Falafel plate and Beyti dish. The falafel plate was pretty good, it came with rice and salad. The falafel was crispy and paired well with the hummus and pita bread. Make sure you get a pita bread, loved how they make it here! I thought the Beyti dish was just ok. It reminds me of a pasta dish since it has tomato sauce all over. I personally wouldn't order again. There's a good amount of tables inside to dine in. The service here was attentive and nice. The bathroom was clean, which I appreciated.

Came for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. When we first arrived there was only one other table of patrons eating so we were a bit worried. However during our meal and by the time we left the place was packed. Very clean, nicely decorated, clean restroom and the server was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious and very appetizing to the eyes. We loved every dish and the portions were quite large that we had extra food for another meal. I will definitely be back and I absolutely recommend.

Family run restaurant, smaller in size but has a homey feel, clean, kid friendly, nice staff. Street parking might be tough in front of the restaurant but drive a couple blocks down and you can find some by residential areas. We ordered:- Falafels (4/5): small donut shaped, good but a bit dense - Sofra bread (3/5): doughy, dense, huge portion- Salmon wrap (4/5): good wrap, could add a bit more flavors and texture - Lamb shank entree (4/5): Love the reveal, the lamb itself was tasty, rice and veges and the bread were just okNext time would love to try the meat options - table next to us got the mixed grill and looked amazing!

The shrimp plate was so excellent from the garlicky butter sauce to savory rice - every bite was perfect! I loved the tangy Mediterranean style pickles in the side salad as well. The flatbread was thin crust with caramelized sesame, za'atar, and cheese. These are the moments I love to eat out with friends because it's something I wouldn't have ordered but will be a must get every time I come back!We came here for a holiday lunch during work hours and didn't have any wait. The service was fast and friendly for our large group. I am excited to come back and try other plates!

Great ambiance and waitress was kind! Ordered via phone and arrived to some great food. Waitress was sweet and asked us how many utensils we needed since we had a big order too which was great. I personally ordered the Falafel wrap and it was delicious! It was also way bigger than expected as it comes with a wrap but cut in half and it's BIG (could definitely save half for another meal). Baba Ganoush was a pleasant surprise as well, so if you like eggplant or want to start liking it this is the dish for you. Prices were decent as well, and interior was nice so would definitely recommend sitting down too if it's a viable option for you. They also include Turkish Delight as well for a dessert option!

Came here for yelp elite event today and it was a very pleasant experience! Owner greeted us very warmly and gave us suggestions too on what to order. We got the chicken shawarma and lamb shank for entrees, 2 sides of pita bread, 1 grilled salmon wrap, and lebnah. Everything was so delicious and I can tell pita bread was made fresh; pita bread was so fluffy and soft with every bite and paired very deliciously with the lebnah. The grilled salmon wrap was a simple in flavor, yet such a delicious wrap. The chicken shawarma was also very good along with the lamb shank, which the owner recommended to us. Next time, we will for sure be dining in the restaurant instead for the dine-in experience. We will be back for more!
