After being diagnosed with celiac a few weeks before my birthday, I was pleased to find a dedicated Gluten-Free kitchen that served Italian food so nearby. The bread is all baked in-house and is absolute magic. Everyone starts with focaccia but also had the bruschetta sampler, both of which were outstanding. For my entree, I had the hallabit, and my husband had the short rib ragu. The fish was definitely the stand-out both both were solid dishes. We had the cannoli and the flourless chocolate cake. Both were great but what happened as we had dessert made me a customer for life. We started chatting with our server, who we found out was the owner. She was friendly and kind and I mentioned to her that I had been recently diagnosed, then she excused herself to let us enjoy our desserts. A few minutes later she appeared with a bag of baked goods, 2 loaves of bread, a loaf of banana bread, take-and-bake cookie dough, and some pasta to take home and cook! All of which was so delicious that we came by the next week to visit their bakery to buy some more! I can not recommend this place more highly. Not only for the fantastic food and adorable ambiance, but this was truly one of the most outstanding dining expenses of my life. The customer service is second to none! Thank you Polenteria from the bottom of my Gluten Free heart!

I have celiac disease, so I was pretty excited to go to an all gluten free Italian spot because that doesn't exist anywhere. We got the ragu short rib pasta, chicken Parmesan, bread plate as an appetizer, an affogato and Canolli for dessert, Both main courses lacked salt. I don't know if Italian food generally lacks salt- I haven't had Italian food in many years. My husband who isn't celiac also thought that the food was very bland and lacked salt. The bread was soft but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The affogato was well done. Canolli was a big disappointment - tasted nothing like a real glutinous canolli, the shell was hard and texture felt off. It wasn't flaky like a real canolli. The cream used to fill the canolli was probably the best thing we tasted. The presentation of the food was great. But flavors were missing big time. Overall, if you're ethnic (Mexican, Indian, Asian of any kind, middle eastern) you're not gonna like the food. Save the trip.

Quality went down, shrinkflation went up. It sucks how much has changed within a year. The bread is no longer complimentary. I've been looking forward to the Brushetta flight because it was sooooo good last time. Charred, huge slice of bread, plenty of toppings. This time, just plain, cold, small slices of a baguette. Toppings were definitely smaller. This really disappointed me.As for the entrees, my partner got the beef short rib ragu and barely touched it. He didnt like it, said it was gamey and the sauce wasn't good. For me, I was still pretty hungry so I ate all of the lamb shank. But its not worth $48. Taste was average. It's pretty cold in the restaurant, we kept our coats on. And the waitress was fine. They are definitely nicer to the groups of 4 than the groups of 2. We didnt like the food enough to even look at the dessert menu. Due to the decrease in quality, I wouldn't come again

Food: food here was amazing, love that they are gluten free kitchen. Enjoyed the calamari and pork chop! I will say that the drink here are pretty expensive around $20 each and nothing super special about them. And the bread is no longer free, a bread plate is $5. Service: service here is great. They are very attentive. Ambiance: this is a very intimate space, if you are not comfortable being close to someone I would not recommend. I did feel a little close and feel like I could easily hear both conversations to the right and left of me. I will say the one down fall is the bathroom, there is no inside bathroom and the outdoor bathroom is pretty bad. When paying over $200 for a 2 person bathroom expect a little bit better in this area.

Third review of this place , this time for brunch. Food was interesting and fresh, especially the gluten free biscuit, but the portions were very small and overpriced. My eggs Benedict had ONE poached egg. For $23.. that's a bit insane. The waiter was super nice and as always, the place was very classy, but I was surprised at the portion size. Hopefully they take this into consideration as they serve brunch more. Or at least serve it with a side of fruit or something to supplement. The baked good also leave a bit to be desired and are $7 each. I may go back to try the pancakes, but only for an occasion. I prefer this place for dinner

It's great to have a high end gluten free restaurant in the area. An intimate place, it has just a handful of seats so it's romantic if you want it to be and cozy. The vegan bolognese mushroom dish was very good as was the bread. I also had the bruschetta with the apples and it was good. Vegan seemed to throw them a bit - I'm not sure if the waitress and the chef communicated well but the owner had told us no issue at all. We enjoyed the experience and recommend it to gluten free friends.

Food was amazing. Perfectly breaded calamari with peppers. The steak was off the chain, right on the money medium rare and lightly seasoned, but the ambiance takes the cake. Feels like you are home with a beautiful sense of style.
