Strictly for our bartender Vianca. My second time here and we came by for a drink or 2 and of course I had to have my usual manhattan whenever available which wasn't the best here. She ended up making her special which was delicious and did its work! She was great to talk to and seems like a genuine good person and even gave us the inside scoop on good tequila which I'm definitely gatekeeping after everyone blowing fortaleza up.

Came here for a family get together and overall had a good experience. Food was good satisfying comfort food with big portions. It was super busy and it was difficult to hear conversation, so I would suggest they get some sound absorption panels for their walls.

I definitely enjoyed the ambience of this place and felt like this was the perfect place to go to if you're not even a hurry. I didn't mind the service just because I was enjoying the company of the people that I was with it. This was our first time here so we really took our time to go over the menu.I got the steak Al Bruno with a side of Joe's ravioli. They were both cooked to the perfection!I am definitely coming back to try the pastas. They do have an upper and lower parking lot. My reservation was at 5:30 and when I arrived at 5, I was easily able to find parking but I can see how it can fill up.

Came the weekend of Valentine's.Love that although I was busy, we were shown to our seats within 15 minutes of checking in. It was freezing that night so my husband and I were glad to be sat in front of the oven, barside. Staff were kind and attentive. You can tell when the servers are just doing their job vs when they actually care. Our server was the latter.I ordered ribeye and was surprised at how big it was. & it was delicious. Not overdone and medium like I asked. 10/10. So easy for restaurants to overcook steak. Also wanna add that the calamari is good. Probably the reason why we were kinda full by the time our dinner arrived. Will be back, definitely.

I needed a break from Asian fusion brunch, and on this particular Sunday morning, I had things to do and no time to wait in lines. With an Italian American take on the food and spacious seating, Original Joe's fit the bill. We were seated immediately, and it's nice to know that they take reservations, even for brunch.I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary sourdough and butter, something you mostly see for dinner, but I'm not complaining! The Crispy Polenta Benedict caught my eye, and although the home fries and polenta cake itself could've been crispier, the pesto and marinara combination actually worked well together. The Brunch Burger was savory and hearty, and they sure didn't skimp on the bacon, which had the perfect amount of crispiness and thickness. Some avocado or something fresh would've been good to cut the saltiness of the bacon, cheese, and patty though. Overall, it was a solid brunch, and I'm interested in coming back for lunch or dinner!

Oh my God, why have I been denying myself for so long?!? I don't think I've been back in about 10 years and I'm really annoyed with myself. But hey, today me and my buddy Jim fix that and had lunch. I showed up around 1130 and the place was starting to get really busy. Luckily I showed up right on time and we had a seat at the front counter. Front counter may not be for everybody, but I absolutely enjoy watching people cook. I had the Joe's famous burger, which was crazy good. And my body had the spicy rigatoni. Damn did his plate look good and I'm gonna order it next time. The service, the ambience and the food is all on point. You'll get greeted by helpful and friendly staff. They will absolutely take care of you your entire meal with a smile. If you still miss that old schoolfeel, Westlake Joe's has not lost it.

We had an excellent Friday night anniversary dinner at Original Joe's Westlake... Rocio was our server and was great. It was our first time at any Original Joe's location so we were excited. We started off with vodka martinis & Arnold Palmers. Their complimentary sourdough bread and salted butter was delicious. The jumbo prawn cocktail appetizer was good but the horseradish cocktail sauce was waay too spicy. I couldnt handle it after a while. Might be too spicy for some folks.I got a 14 oz NY strip ($49.95) with Joe's house made ravioli ($10.95) on the side. The lady got red wine braised short rib ($44.95). We both loved our entrees. The steak was great, I really enjoyed it. It was a perfect medium. The ravioli was amazing. I will order that as a side every single dinner from here on out. The short rib was tender and flavorful. It was served on a bed of pureed potatoes along with shallots, carrots & shaved horseradish which I didnt really taste. So it was the opposite experience as compared to the horseradish in the cocktail sauce. We were too full for dessert but ordered Zanze's cheesecake to-go... Great dinner all around. Tone down that horseradish in the cocktail sauce. Noise level in this restaurant is up there but we didnt mind it. The bar area was packed and lively. I imagine this is how it is most weekends. They have a main small parking lot and a slightly larger upper parking lot, both of which were full with no available spaces by our late dinner reservation (915pm). Reservations highly recommended for dinner. We overheard walk-up customers being told by the hostess that it would be about a 45min wait and this was already after 9pm. That shows you how busy they get... We look forward to eating at Original Joe's again.

One of my all-time favorite restaurants!I love trying something new each visit, but the calamari steak remains a standout--perfectly cooked with a bright, garlicky-lemon flavor that's absolutely delicious.A major plus is the parking. While the main lot can fill up quickly, there's an additional one nearby reserved for patrons, making it convenient. The restaurant itself blends vintage charm with modern touches, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. No matter when I visit, the service is consistently good. If you're looking for a great spot just outside the city, this should be at the top of your list!

It's pretty easy to make a reservation on Open Table for Original Joe's. Just make sure you go back into open table as you get closer to your date to get the time you really want. I got my 5:30pm for a party or 6 the day of. We started at the bar since it was superbowl Sunday. Drinks aren't cheap but are very tasty. I loved my pomegranate martini. Now for the food. The six of us ordered a lot of food. Fried calamari, fried shrimp, pesto linguine with chicken, a prime rib French dip sandwich with crispy fries, Cobb salad and arancini balls. Everything was on point. I love anything Pesto. The fried calamari were crispy so was the fried shrimp. The Cobb salad had nice chunks of bacon and blue cheese crumbles. My husband loved the prime rib sandwich. All in all we had a nice meal with plenty of leftovers.
