Unfamiliar with Uyghur cuisine my wife and I put Kusan Uyghur Cuisine on our weekly lunch adventure list. We arrived at lunch time and were greeted by a pleasant young man named Braymer who offered us a window table. The menu had a number of tempting choices of proteins including lamb, chicken and a few beef options. Particularly tempting to me was their lamb offerings and their hand pulled noodle dishes. After careful consideration we chose the Samsa appetizer with Cucumber Salad with Yogurt, Golden Crispy Lamb Ribs, Big Plate Chicken and a house made Mango Yogurt Drink. The Samsa appetizer is a pastry item stuffed with seasoned lamb. Instantly one of the items I will order on future visits. Next we were presented with the Big Plate Chicken. It was a spicy preparation of stewed, bone in dark meat chicken. It paired well with the cool cucumber salad with house made tart yogurt. I particularly enjoyed the hand pulled flat noodles that were topped with the chicken. My only distraction was the number of bones, some of them were distractingly small, that we had to deal with. The noodles were toothy and delicious. The crispy Lamb Ribs came next and I will be ordering them again on future visits. I recommend sprinkling the ribs with the spice mixture served separately on the plate. We finished our meal with a piece of Baklava. My only regret about the Baklava is that I only ordered one piece. Kusan Uyghur Cuisine earned a spot on our short list. We already know what we will try on our next visit. I hope we are lucky enough to get Braymer as our server next time.

Went here for belated Valentine's Day and was super delicious! My first time trying this cuisine. You will experience the sichuan numbing effect from some of their dishes if you're sensitive to spicy! Also very nice ambiance inside of the restaurant, which you would never expect from looking at from the exterior.

Kusan Uyghur was featured on the show Check, please! and a friend recommended it, so I decided to check it out. While I was a little nervous that it might be too adventurous for my taste buds, I found lots of dishes that were delicious. The restaurant isn't huge, so it feels best to come with groups of 2-4 to avoid a long wait. The heat lamps outside were a nice touch since there isn't a lot of space to wait inside. Also, I enjoyed the complimentary ice cream cone at the end of the meal. Looking forward to my next visit!

I should give this place a freaking 1-star review, solely based on the fact that it took them so long to find me o\____/oBut I will forgive them, because this may very well be my new favourite restaurant, and trust me, I eat stuff all the time and I know good stuff when it touches me in the mouth and courses its way deep in my bowels and then comes screaming out in a lava-burning-screaming levels of diarrhea. But that's just a normal Monday, amirite?! Chill place. Low Lights. Romantisch. Let's hit it baby:Beef Nooders - best f'n thing ever.Lamb Wraps - best f'n thing ever.Lamb Shank - best f'n thing ever.Amine Yoghurt (not ANIME.) - best thing ever.Yoghurt - had to get another one to go home cuz they were, YOOOU GUESSED IT!, the best f'n thing ever!My mouthhole was exploding with flavours I didn't even know existed! IT WAS LIKE THERE WAS A PARTY IN MY MOUTH AND EVERYBODY WAS COMING!! Ya know? Of course you do, dirty boi ;)

So delicious and hearty! I had a teacher who once made big plate chicken for my class and I. It was so wonderful and I missed it ever since. Coming here to enjoy it brought me back to that day. The noodles were nice and bouncy while the potatoes were tender and flavorful. My daughter really wanted the chicken kebab even though we already ordered chicken but she loved them so much! The lamb dumplings were also so juicy. The ambiance is too busy to be intimate but there's nice jazz playing. The service is also good but you may have to flag them down.

Came here a few weeks ago during a staycation in San Jose, and I must say it's one of the most unique establishments I've eaten at, and it felt very authentic, affordable for what we got, and very delicious. Came around 8pm, party of 2. Our order was lamb dumplings with carrot (10 pc), beef noodle soup, lamb shank with naan, and a hot milk tea (not your regular milk tea from Taiwan! It had butter on top and was savory!). Total was about $78. Pros:- FANTASTIC FOOD. Lots of unique and yummy flavors, and it's not "too adventurous" even if you usually have a lame palate. It's similar to East Asian food, but more South Asian flavors. The beef noodle soup was spicy but had great noodles, we really enjoyed putting our leftover lamb shank pieces in there too. The lamb shank with naan - I thought this would be weird and soggy, but it was actually delightful and not too salty. Oddly super good. And the savory milk tea with butter on top - super unique, but definitely something I would recommend sharing because it's very intense. - Portions are decent sized! My husband and I ordered a lot because we wanted to try a bit of everything, but we definitely had leftovers.- Really efficient and kind service! When we paid and were about to leave, they ended up gifting us a yogurt drink that was also delicious and unique. - The ambiance is really fun - cute little touch lamps on the tables and quite loud and bustling with customers, we felt really lucky to get a table when we walked in because it was super busy. Despite being in a stand alone building that can look kind of random, it was POPPIN' inside. - Easy parking lot in the back.Cons:- none. maybe that the parking lot can be really dimly lit at night and feel creepy if you're by yourself? That there might be a wait because it's so highly rated and so popular? not great for huge parties because it's pretty busy?I felt like what we paid was totally justified for the great experience of trying Uyghur food for the first time, all the the servers were so kind and efficient, and the vibes inside were so authentic and clean. 10/10 will be back.

Hole in a wall spot in an industrial area. Parking is kinda limited and dimly lit. The seating is pretty spacious inside. Service was very quick and were fast on taking orders and bringing out the food. It definitely smelled like lamb as soon as you walked into the restaurant. Main thing this spot is known for is lamb, so I ordered the lamb wraps. I fully expected the lamb wrap to be warm but it was not. The yogurt sauce was good, garnish was tasty, the lamb was a little bland though. My friend ordered the cumin beef chao mein. It was a lot of cumin that sort of overpowered the dish.

The environment is nice and staff is friendly. We like the noodle soup which is pretty good and chewy. The grill lamp tasted very tender, but with too much fat. Overall is good. Will come again.
