I've always loved going to Jeffrey's since I was a little kid. Jeffrey's car theming and diner style gives it an environment that is very unique to the area, and theres lots of seating without making the space feel cramped. It's also not to loud in there, even during the lunch rush. The people working there are always friendly, providing quick service, and a clean environment. The food is good, my only complaint being that the hotdog buns split at the seam very easily. Jeffries by far has my favorite strawberry shakes, as they don't taste like vanilla icecream with strawberry syrup, but like actual strawberry icecream. (Tip: if you don't want a full milkshake and the extra metal cup, but do want the whipped cream and cherry, ask for a kid's shake in a glass!) The fries are also great, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Generally, if I want to treat myself without spending a crazy amount of money, Jeffery's is a perfect place to go. As a student I value being able to get a meal for around 10$ and I usually end up spending around 15$ at Jeffrey's for a hotdog and shake. Not a bad price point for the area and as a treat a couple times a month, it feels really nice to go!Great atmosphereGreat serviceFood is good Shakes are greatWould recommend

Probably the best diner-style burger joint in the Bay Area. Table seating and a long bar with round stools.Food has always been good and they have large selection of burger options and ingredients to add-on to your liking.I'm fond of the pineapple and teriyaki Swiss burger.Fries are always hot and the milk shakes are top notch if you're not worried about the calories.Service is like Kirk's steakburgers, you order up front, and they'll bring it to your table.I always come here just after the lunch hour, so it's usually only a few customers around, and very quiet.

I used to be a very regular Jeffrey's customer. They've always had a straightforward style with their classic diner decor, playlist of classic '60s songs and serving of classic American eats. This was amazingly my first time back since COVID. Somehow I never got Jeffery's added back to my restaurant list, but it was good to be back.Gone was the fixings bar, now the cashier asks what you want on your burger. The young man that took our order was very friendly and thorough, getting everything absolutely correct in spite of my sorting out what I really wanted on each burger. The restaurant is spacious with tables, booths, and counter seating. They can get quite crowded and today--a Monday, a holiday, and a post noon lunch--was really no exception. Servers have always quickly cleared tables to ensure fast turnover. The food arrived promptly--two cheeseburgers, one hamburger, a basket of fries and a basket of onion rings. Now that we are not dressing the burger ourselves, it comes with mayo and/or mustard, tomatoes, lettuce, and onions if you want all the fixings. Ketchup is in a bottle at the table. I usually would grab one large tomato slice, now it was loaded up with three. Some of the lettuce was less than desirable. It is a bit of a pet peeve to be given the crunchy white parts rather than the actual leafy greens. That was one of the benefits of the now gone toppings bar, getting to pick out actually pieces of green leaf lettuce. The French fries, at first glance looked under cooked, but luckily they didn't feel or taste so. One could have been considered the onion rings over cooked, but I appreciated the extra crunch and guarantee that the breading was well fried. There was a lot more grease on the bottom basket liner than I remember. But everything really tasted great and just like I remember.I do have one source of perpetual disappointment. Jeffery's has been around for almost 20 years and they have needed a refresh for a long time. They serve a great number of people so it is really no surprise that the booth benches have low spots and the paint needs touching up. These things certainly don't affect the taste of the burger, just something I've noticed during my years of patronage.

Solid diner spot with burgers, sandwiches, hot links, fish and chips, and a variety of sides. The patty melt was overflowing with onions and the onion rings batter were perfect!

I like the ambient here. The service is good. The burgers are juicy and tasty. The medium is a bit redder than I would expect. The medium-well done is a bit too cooked. The bread is soft and the veggies are fresh. The onion rings and the sweet potatoes are soft and crispy (a bit oily). The Caesar salad is ok - a bit weird. It has some oily dressing on it with a side of Caesar dressing. I like the root beer float and the chocolate shakes. Overall good experience and I recommend it.

I moved to this area years ago and always drove by Jeffrey's on my drives down El Camino, but never found a reason or opportunity to try this spot out. Recently though I decided to take my toddler out for a little Mommy & Me date and since we needed to run a Trader Joe's errand, we found the nearest playground at Burgess Park to play at before looking for a fun toddler-friendly dining establishment. This is how we chanced upon Jeffrey's as an option on my Yelp search. There's a decent, medium sized lot behind the restaurant. Bonus is that it's right next to the CalTrain tracks, and there's a bit of a clearing between the bushes for a toddler-sized train fanatic to see all the trains whiz by. The lot was also filled with some pretty awesome cars (it ranged between classic cars to even a Porsche Boxster and a Lambo) that a toddler-sized car fanatic enjoyed (well okay, he's easily impressed, but so am I).It's a typical canonical diner with the iconic red booths and menu offerings. The place feels extremely inviting. I can also attest that the bathroom is very clean and spacious (tiny toddler bladders and icky hands). The dining area is similarly spotless and extremely spacious with lots of tables and booths to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased to see that the booths are in pretty pristine condition. I'm used to seeing some other establishments with cracks in the cushions or duct taped over, so this definitely added to the awesome factor. When you first enter, you see a counter under the menu boards with multiple attendants to take your order up front. Our person was very friendly, helpful, and patient. He was also very helpful when we first ordered a chocolate milkshake, and then we realized afterwards that a milk was included with the kid's meal. Since the kiddo picked chocolate milk, the attendant inquired if we still wanted the chocolate milkshake given the similar overlap. And while we specifically came for the treat, I genuinely appreciate checking that with us first. The only bummer to the interaction was that later looking at the receipt, we were charged for the chocolate milk, so maybe I misunderstood the menu and a milk is not included with the kid's meal?Altogether, we had ordered: 1) Burger bowl w/ cheese, 2) Single order of fries, 3) Kid's cheeseburger + milk + apples, 4) Chocolate milkshake, and 5) Soda cup. My 3 year old was able to inhale half his decently sized burger (it's a kid's meal but it's not any smaller than what a grownup would get), so it is picky kid-approved! My burger in my bowl was perfectly cooked to medium, and was a delicious slightly lighter version of getting my burger fix (only slightly lighter given the heaping pile of fried onions up top). The greens were incredibly fresh, not a single wilted lettuce leaf in sight. All in all, Jeffrey's is now on our family's radar as a great place to take the kids for a fun meal out, and I'm glad it is not just a pin on my Yelp wish-list any longer.

When I heard Jeffrey's property had been sold and will turn into a high rise apartment, I dashed in to enjoy a meal. The salad was super fresh. The hamburger was cooked to perfection, as were our sweet potato fries. Lastly, the folks who deliver food and later clean the tables were friendly. And the environment was like the homey dinners of days gone by. ... Get there soon. You'll enjoy the food and simple ambiance.
