Eats Meets West Bowls

The owner is a super sweet lady who took her time to explain to us the different dishes offered and made sure we were well taken care of.My buddy and I ordered different items from the menu and we both thought our dishes had amazing flavors! I was surprisingly full from this dish and felt really great after too. I thought it was super cute that all of the dishes were heart shaped. There is limited seating, but that didn't bother us, as we found seats just right outside. It is mostly street parking, but we had no problems finding a spot!

Amazing flavors for really healthy salads & rice bowls. Great for lunch or a light dinner in Redwood City. Recommend just getting All About the Makhani Bowl or You Are the Pav to My Bhaji Bowl if you are a first timer. I used to love this place! Unfortunately, tonight I had a very negative experience. I ordered two bowls online for delivery. It has been quite a long time since I've gotten food from this restaurant, and the quality has gone down so much. I was charged an extra $3.00 for avocado, on a salad that already cost $20. The avocado that was put on my salad bowl was turning black and spoiled. I thought it was just brown because of air, but I tasted it and it was definitely rotten. I took it off and began eating the rest, and immediately tasted that other vegetables (tomato, cucumber, peppers) were also spoiled! The portions of actual toppings are tiny, the bowl is mostly lettuce. So nearly $25 for a bowl with lettuce, probably a quarter cup of rice, a few beans, a few "crunchies" and spoiled veggies and avocado. Extremely disappointed.

Excellent salad bowls clearly prepared by folks who care about providing healthy delicious meals. Came across this place when the owner posted on Nextdoor this weekend. Ordered through DoorDash and the food arrived in great condition. The bowls were very well prepared per our instructions and they even put cute little hearts on the boxes which my wife adored. The owner truly cares about providing the customers a great experience. The bowls were very tasty and portion size was very good. The chicken was perfect, and the sauces (makhani and chaat) were super tasty as well. The waffle egg in a heart shape was not only novel but very appetizing as well. This is a very novel concept and we are big fans. We will certainly order regularly.

I tried this place for lunch. The service and food was good. Healthy and diabetic friendly meals are available. And the presentation of food in a heart shaped plate is cute. There can be more seating areas inside for a rainy day. The outdoor area is great on a sunny day.

The food at this place was amazingly fresh and delicious!! Being able to add items to each bowl was simple and the flavors and freshness of the food was just what I was after. This is mainly an order and take out restaurant, but we didn't know that when we went there. But we were greeted by a friendly and accommodating owner who help us settle into the indoor seating that was available. It's not fancy, but it was casual and adequate and we the friendliness of the owner far outshined the simplicity of the dining atmosphere. We got generous portions of this delicious food and I am looking forward to returning should we ever find ourselves in that area of town again!

My husband and I came here for lunch about a month or two ago. We love supporting small businesses, and adventuring food spots. We are not picky and I usually don't leave reviews, but here is my honest experience. The food was not very flavorful. The portions were surprisingly small considering the price.The seating area was unique, as the kitchen is right there next to the main eating area. The owner spoke to us as she reheated the food in the microwave. We welcome conversation with strangers, but the conversation quickly took a weird turn. The owner asked me of my ethnicity, which I'm happy to share, but then proceeded to make some rather inappropriate comments about the Middle East. (I am Jordanian/Palestinian.) I left hungry and uncomfortable. Wouldn't go back.

Utterly delicious salads, fresh, original and thoughtful combinations of flavors. Generous portions, too. Delightful and friendly owner makes everything to order from scratch. It is obvious that she cares about the food she is providing. Great find!

Location: First off - map navigation will confuse you so walk from corner of Marshall & Argello on Argello & you'll see it on the right (part of the residential 201 building ... it's on ground level).Space: when you walk in you'll feel like you're in someone's commercial kitchen with a friendly cook who chats with you & is happy to help (it's awesome...go with the flow).Food: amazingly fresh and delicious. One great thing is the sauces are NOT mixed in. They're on the side so you can slowly taste them & decide on your spice absorption ability (I'm a low spice person so this worked great).Enjoy!
