Wow! Stepped into a hidden gem! Store with Hawaiian stuff like Zippy's frozen food, guava jelly, Hawaii bags, Aloha Shoyu, Li Hing Mui, Hawaiian candies and so much more! Prices: FairFood ONO! Tried the breakfast and it had three Portuguese sausage and three spam as well as two scoops rice w/furikake and a tasty sweet toast. Cabbage at bottom. Daughter had chili garlic plate with rice & Mac salad. She said it was good. Staff told her that it wasn't going to be on menu in March. (Unsure reason) Ample seating and excellent staff, super friendly and knowledgeable about food & items for sale. Went there about 10:30am ish and place was packed. Still had seating at back counter by windows but someone was leaving so got table. Felt like Ohana sitting next to everyone. Tables & chairs close to each other. Place was clean. Next to Blendistry Barber Shop. Love this place, def FIVE STARS and will be back often!

what a find in south city! walked in and you're greeted by the calm hawaiian music, familiar snacks and goodies, and of course, large-portioned, delicious hawaiian food.* i recommend the mochiko chicken-- crispy, flavorful chicken with rice and mac salad, or loco moco (unfortunately doesn't come with mac salad but is still delicious!) appreciate the big portions to make it shareable with friends. * to save time, order ahead on their website via IGI wish you hours were more flexible to enjoy for dinner after work but it's a treat on a weekday off to get a yummy fix from here for lunch!

Came here to pick up some snacks before I head home. All is delicious. I just had a little complaint about the spam musubi. Rice was soggy and the spam was not fried, like it was just cut up and wrapped. But the rice was more of a turn off then that spam.

Food was amazing! The loco moco was delicious and huge! Was only able to eat half of it in a seating and took the rest home. This place tricks you because it looks like a grocery store but it also serves up delicious food. The workers were kind and super thoughtful and knowledgeable about the menu. I loved the vibe of the place. And will definitely come back again. And bring my family who loves onigiri and masubi. And just good food in general.

Great Hawaiian!Plates are expensive, but they are more than enough food for a regular, hungry person. We did the meatloaf/burger loco moco and the spicy garlic fried chicken. Both were great! The chicken was crispy, even after getting dipped in a chili sauce. Loads of garlic chips. Tasty mac salad. If I could go back, I'd ask to switch for more mac!Nice gravy on the moco. And, the patty had a really nice crust from the flat top. Two eggs, but I was real disappointed that a yolk was broken and overcooked. The yolk mixing with gravy over rice is one of my favorite parts of the dish, and I missed it.I was less excited about the musubis. Heavy, dense rice. Takahashi in San Mateo remains the gold standard. But overall, still good! Thanks for a nice lunch!

So glad we found this hole in the wall. The food is SO good and the plates are massive. Tons of options for musubis and shave ice. Parking is difficult, so plan accordingly. We'll definitely be back!

Came here with a friend for lunch on a Sunday. Can easily be missed along El Camino Real as it is tucked in a small corner next to a car shop.Upon entering, there are tables to the left along with bar-style seating along the windows. Ahead of you are aisles of snacks and food items from Hawaii. Off to the right is where you order with a couple of large menus on TV screens.Shared the Japataters. Well-seasoned crispy fries with kewpie mayo along with some other sweet-like sauce, furikake and fish flakes. I got the Loco Moco with the meatloaf patty. My friend got the Katsu Curry plate. The Loco Moco was packed with flavor. The beef patty itself was like a frisbee with weight. Well-seasoned along with the rice. The gravy was plentiful and well-seasoned as well. The Katsu Curry had a nice fry to it. The curry was thick in consistency, but also packed with flavor. The portions here are gigantic. One plate can easily feed 2 people and probably have leftovers still. Safe to say, the container and plastic bag will be used to take food home. The cashier was really patient and nice. Even gave us time to check out their selection of drinks off to the side. Can get packed inside, but otherwise, it's fast flowing.Would definitely come back and try out the other options on their menu.

Great no frills spot with big portions and delicious food!Came in on the weekend and got the Fried Mochiko Chicken and Kalua Pork and Cabbage plates. The portions were huge and all the food reminded me of Hawaii. The chicken was my favorite, well seasoned and fried to perfection. And my partner loved the Kalua Pork, very tender. The portions were huge, we left with tons of leftovers and will definitely be back to try more on the menu! The weekends can get a little busy, so be sure to get there a tad earlier to be the rush.

Fried Mochiko Chicken Plate -- delicious and fresh, with very generous servings. The chicken was so crispy and light, salted with the right amount. There is salad under the rice and chicken. The macaroni salad had black pepper in it which added a nice kick to it. A really good quality dish. They have a small parking lot, you can find surrounding parking spots nearby on the street. While waiting for your order you can shop for hawaiian snacks and drinks. You pay at the same register for the food and the grocery items.

I think it's safe to say I've found my favorite fried chicken spot. I'm honestly kicking myself for not trying this place sooner! Their mochiko chicken was perfect--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. It was so good that I found myself craving it again the very next day.The shop has such a charming vibe, too--it gave me a little taste of Hawaii with all the Hawaiian snacks and decor. If you're a fan of fried chicken or Hawaiian flavors, this spot is an absolute must-try. I can't wait to go back!!
