Beautiful ambiance with plenty of glass windows, modern design, and most of all, excellent well-balanced food. They place samples of today's menu items on the counter, so you'll know what you'll get, including the size of your meal. Prices are also reasonable for the food quality. I had a garlic halibut. It looks very appealing with those red cherry tomatoes. See photo! It's a cafeteria style, so you pay before eating, they'll beep you to pick up your food when ready, and bush your own dirty dishes. Unfortunately, they open till 2 pm only. Otherwise, it's a lovely spot for afternoon coffee and meet up. There are plenty of pay-parking on the street level and the underground levels of the building. But for Stanford staff who want to use the monthly permit, it may be a little challenging to go find a free spot. Highly recommended for staff lunches and lunch meeting!

Hidden Gem: My Happy Place. This is my favorite place for morning coffee. I love the toasted cinnamon latte or mocha and a blueberry scone. It's a true hidden gem. Enter at the light at Vineyard Lane and park in the back surface lot (free for 3 hours) across from the Container Store. Go in where you see the red umbrellas/tables outside. The staff are so friendly! They knew my name within days. The prices are extremely reasonable, and you're not asked to tip at payment! Ask for the rewards card and get a free drink after 10 drinks. The ambiance is open and airy with big glass windows. In the morning, it's not crowded; almost never a wait and plenty of seats. I could walk to eight different coffee shops from home, but I'm willing to drive 10 minutes to what's become my happy place. Stanford employees get a discount. Highly recommend!

The food is really good. However, I've seen the coffee bar staff slacking off and eating where they serve. In addition, I'm pretty sure I overheard a server swearing in Spanish.

This is a great eatery for us Stanford health care workers. It's a short walk from the hospital and the menu is a lot better than the everyday menu from work. Not to mention, employees get 15% off!I do wish the menu rotated better with different varieties but other than that, everything is great. I love the fact that we can can grab as much condiments, utensils, and even drink sparkling, still, or cold still water!! There is plenty of seating and once you're done eating, you'll have to put away your own dishes. Prices for the food ranges from $6-$13 which isn't bad considering the portion is enough and flavorful. I'll definitely come back again with my co workers!

I am absolutely delighted to share my positive experience at Cafe Arbor, located on the first floor of the Center for Academic Medicine building at Stanford. This establishment has been a much-needed addition to the breakfast and lunch options in the area, particularly for patients and workers on the Quarry Road/Welch side of the Stanford campus.Prior to Cafe Arbor, our meal options in this area were limited to LKSC, which is quite far and has been closed at certain points during the pandemic, cafes and eateries scattered throughout the shopping center that can be relatively far to reach on foot, Tootsies, and the hospital cafeterias on 300P, LPCH, and 500P, which are closer than the offerings at the shopping center but not as convenient as the CAM location. Therefore, having Cafe Arbor as a new spot has been truly wonderful! One of the standout features of Cafe Arbor is their diverse and delicious breakfast and lunch menu. They offer a wide variety of healthy and delicious food options that are perfect for starting the day or enjoying a mid-day meal. From their scrumptious breakfast panini sandwiches to their mouthwatering burgers and salads for lunch, and their delectable desserts and pastries available anytime, there is something for everyone. The quality of the food is exceptional, with fresh ingredients and well-crafted flavors that never disappoint. The staff at Cafe Arbor is also exceptional, exemplifying outstanding customer service. They are always friendly, attentive, and ready to assist with any questions or special requests. Their kind and welcoming demeanor create a pleasant dining experience, making me feel valued and appreciated as a customer.Another noteworthy aspect of Cafe Arbor is the availability of condiments. They have a wide selection of hot sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper, allowing customers to customize their meals to their liking. This attention to detail and consideration for customer preferences is truly commendable. The seating options at Cafe Arbor are also quite nice. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating arrangements that make it a perfect spot to dine in and relax. Whether you prefer sitting indoors or outdoors, there are ample seating options available to suit your preferences. The location of Cafe Arbor is convenient, especially for those based on the Quarry Road/Welch side of the Stanford campus. It's easily accessible and within walking distance from various points on the campus, making it a convenient option for breakfast or lunch. The surrounding area is also pleasant, with ample parking available nearby and a nice ambiance. The only drawback is that Cafe Arbor closes at 2PM, which may not be ideal for those who prefer late lunches or afternoon snacks. As a customer, I personally wish they were open for longer hours, as I thoroughly enjoy their food and ambiance, and often find myself craving their menu late into the afternoon when I am working nearby. In conclusion, I am elated that Cafe Arbor is now available at the Center for Academic Medicine building at Stanford. It has become a much-loved option for breakfast and lunch in the area, with a varied and delicious menu, kind staff, yummy snacks, condiments for customization, and nice seating options. I highly recommend Cafe Arbor to anyone looking for a satisfying meal in the area. I particularly enjoy their breakfast panini sandwiches, burgers, salads, desserts, and pastries, and I am thrilled that they are now available at this convenient location. I hope Cafe Arbor considers extending their operating hours in the future, as I would love to continue enjoying their offerings beyond 2 PM.

The quest for the best burger is never ending. For years, 4505 Burgers and BBQ has rained supreme at the top of my favorite burgers, But Cafe Arbor has managed to knocked them from the top perch.......... As my previous review has indicated Cafe Arbor is simply fantastic. Really 6 stars if we could go that high. This is not a one off experience either, their rotating menu keeps it interesting, and we have yet to have a meal that was not excellent in more than 20 visits. We discovered the burger on one of first visits and have waited impatiently for it to return. The Aspen Burger: What can I say. I have now had 3 of them and they were consistent. The bun is fresh, and sturdy to handle the burger from the first bite to the last. The beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked to order. None of this medium well or greater so many force you into. The smoked cheddar added that nice smoky hit and the tanginess helped offset the overall richness of the burger. The lettuce added crunch and the caramelized onions added that perfect sweet/savory combination. The bacon was perfectly cooked and did what bacon does best. The garlic mayo was deftly applied in just the right amount to be noticed but not overwhelm. The lettuce added crunch and helped balance the onslaught of richness. It is now the new reigning king of my Top Ten Burger list. For this meal I subbed in a salad instead of their always excellent fries. fresh Arugula perfectly dressed in a vinaigrette. Customer service is top notch. Hong and Filipe really stand out but everybody there is excellent.

I have been living in Stamford for the past 20 years and have always enjoyed visiting Café Arbor. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and I truly appreciate the quality of the offerings. However, I have noticed a concerning issue at the coffee bar. Each time I've visited, I've observed the baristas using their phones and then preparing coffee without washing their hands. This lack of hygiene is troubling, especially given the health risks associated with unclean hands.Given that Café Arbor is located in an area known for its high standards, I believe this practice is unacceptable. As a loyal patron, I urge the management to address this issue promptly to ensure the health and safety of customers. While I hoped this problem would resolve over time, it has persisted, prompting me to share my concerns here. With so many people falling ill these days, maintaining proper hygiene is more important than ever. I trust that the management will take this feedback seriously and implement measures to uphold the café's otherwise excellent reputation.Thank you for your attention to this matter.
