"The Mexican inspired sushi is my favorite here. Multiple flavors and proteins to choose from."
"This place has always been on my bookmarks and I got to finally try it on Valentine's day. We got here right when they opened at 5pm, and was able to get a table inside. super cozy and romantic spot with tasteful decor. Despite it being a busy day, the servers were still attentive and provided great service.Fresh Ankimo (5/5) Some of the freshest I've had in the Bay Area. Dare I say as good as Japan? We were super happy with this dish. Highly recommend. Treasure Box (5/5) Just enough for two people, the treasure box is a must get when you come here. We got the Valentine's day box that came with abalone, uni + ikura over rice, king salmon, wagyu nigiri, Toro nigiri, Hamachi, oysters with caviar, sea bass, and a savory egg pudding dish topped with a dungeness crab. Mango Salmon Roll (4/5)salmon was fresh and the mango was sweet and complimented the roll so well.Fancy Oysters (5/5) topped with quail egg, ikura, ponzu and green onion. i really enjoyed these as well and even put some of the Ankimo on top overall, great experience for our first time. I will definitely be back!"

"DELICIOUS!!! We came here today for a Christmas Eve Eve treat with my mum. She had been here before and enjoyed it. She's a super picky Japanese cook, so I trusted her suggestion to come here with my boyfriend. There was not a thing we did not love. My favourites: har gao, honey bbq pork (aka char su), house special chow mein, salt pepper wings, egg custard tart. YUM! We made a reservation which is highly recommended cos it seemed their wait list was a cluster F. They even admit to that being a janky system. This place was packed but now I see why. I'll be returning."
"Sushi Koya is a hidden gem when it comes to Bay Area Japanese cuisine. You can tell the quality of fish is high and they really take care of their customers here. If you want to order the biggest sushi roll you have ever seen, it's on the menu called Monstar. Be sure to split with a friend, because you won't be able to finish it yourself unless you're a true whale."
"Excellent food & servers welcoming and efficient! Delicious breakfasts, (Omelets, Pancakes, Waffles,) Lunches, (French Dip, Burgers, Salads, Soups,) and Dinners (each day of the week they have different specials), my favorite - Thursday night Corn beef & Cabbage dinner--includes: Salad or soup, corn beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots & dessert!"
"**Updated review**I booked my reservation through SF Restaurant Week's official website and was excited to finally try this place. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated right away, which was a great start. However, things took a turn when our server handed us the regular menu without mentioning the SF Restaurant Week menu. When I asked about it, the staff member I spoke to claimed they weren't notified that they were participating. How is that possible when the restaurant was listed on the official website and we booked our reservation through it? SF Restaurant Week is a well known event, and participating restaurants usually share their menus online. I even checked Yelp and found only one photo related, which made me suspect they were trying to avoid offering the prix-fixe menu to maximize profits. Their excuse? "They weren't notified in time to create a menu." That's frustrating and misleading, especially since the event details had been public for two weeks+ meaning they should have been aware well in advance. If they weren't prepared, they shouldn't have signed up.That aside, we decided to stay and order from the regular menu. Unfortunately, our food took a long time to arrive. We ended up filling up on bread and soup while waiting. To make things worse, two other tables - a small party and a larger group that arrived after us, received most of their food before we received one dish.Food Review: * Mixed Crudo - The halibut was the best part- succulent, slightly sweet, and of course, there were only four pieces. The scallops, on the other hand, were overpowered by coarse salt, making them way too salty. The salmon was pretty standard.* Dungeness Crab Linguine - Decent, but not memorable. There wasn't much crab or sauce, so I probably wouldn't order it again.* Crab Chowder - Delicious, but the portion was misleading. The bowl was super shallow, making it look like there was more than there actually was--probably the same amount as a cup.* Branzino - Fantastic! The skin was perfectly crispy, and the side of broccolini was a great touch."
"Tin's Teapot Bistro was the venue of a dinner organized by black badge Elite Li Y. of Hawaii on 08/08/2004. Li was kind enough to extend me an invitation, and I finally got a chance to meet several long time Yelpers in person. This was my first time eating at Tin's since the pandemic. Upon entering, I saw Alice the owner working at the cash register. Really glad to see her still at the helm. The interior appeared to have gone through a slight upgrade. Cleanliness was still excellent. We were seated at a large round table. Our group of 10 elected to eat family style. We each picked a dish, so we ended up with a table full of food. Overall, the quality was quite good. My two favorites were the Salt and Pepper Pork Chop and XO Sauce Seafood Combo. Judging from the absence of leftovers, I'd say the others liked it as well.Service we received was terrific. The staff were friendly and attentive. Many thanks to Li for organizing this dinner. Good food, great company. Definitely a fantastic outing!"
"The salmon penne was so good! It was creamy and savory and hot. The bread appetizer was so fresh, we well as the sole. Amazing service and friendly staff in a cozy Italian restaurant within West Portal."
"2/7/25 - My friends and I have been wanting to go here and finally did! It had soooo many iconic Vietnamese dishes like bánh khọt, trạo tôm, nem nướng etc. The staff were so attentive despite being busy and worked so hard to answer our questions and help us! The restaurant was also decorated so beautifully too. We got bánh khọt, nem nướng on sugar cane, and fish sauce chicken for starters. All were sooo delicious! We also got their phở and five spice chicken dry phở. Their coconut coffee was pretty good too! I'd recommend going here to anyone! Excellent experience!"
"Basic home style food with no frills ambiance, hole in the wall, family business. Stumbled upon this place as we wanted a quick snack at 3 in the afternoon. Reasonably priced, limited menu, fresh ingredients. Flavor could be more intense, however adding the chili + soy sauce works. Will be back to try a few more dishes. Note, parking is a challenge and the cost is $1/hr with metering hours from 8-8."
"Kids (2yr and 4yr) love the food here. Food come up super quick, super important for us, eating with kids. Plenty of utensils on table (omg, kids dropping spoons and forks!) Such a good place for us."
"We came to back to JJamPPong because we had a bad jajang mein (black bean sauce noodles) at another restaurant in Millbrae a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about coming back the entire week to get jajang mein and their famous Korean double fried chicken. That feeling of satisfaction from a good meal is priceless. Redemption from a bad meal to a great one is twice as good. As a revenge meal, we ordered two orders of fried chicken $20 each, crispy garlic shrimp $24, chow fun $20 and of course, jajang mein $16. The food remains excellent. For the Korean fried chicken, get ready for some sticky fingers goodness. I really like the crunchiness as well as the authentic flavors. Their chef(s) concocted this sweet yet mild spicy glaze for the honey chili chicken which is addicting. We never had their salt and pepper fried chicken before and this was quite good. My favorite remains their garlic sauce version. The surprise standout dish was their beef chow fun. I've must have eaten this dish over a thousand times. Their chef(s)' interpretation added more depth by including chopped onions, scallions, bok choy, choy sum along with bean sprouts. The dish had a good smokey, wok hei flavor with the end tips of the beef, chow fun and onion caramelized. Chow fun could be boring but the chef did a good job with the light seasoning that rivals the best out there.Service was excellent. Constant water refills, extra napkins because the chicken. Side note, the owner's wife recognized me from my crispy noodles photo that I posted on Yelp when they first opened and gave me and my family an oyster sauce clams dish. That was an unexpected revelation. We were already so full. It is nice to be treated like a VIP even though I'm just a regular guy that likes to eat. It is a testament to them being a small local restaurant that recognizes their customers. This genuinely made my week a little bit better. Walking home with a stuffed stomach beyond capacity is delightful. Great job everyone at JJamPPong."

I came with my family on a freezing Sunday for lunch and, let me tell you, we appreciated the outdoor heaters! Upon being seated, we were each served with a delicious cup of caldo de camaron. This was a great touch! I ordered the shrimp ceviche, which was fresh and delicious. Great service by Romi, too! We'll be back to try one of their great deals during the week!

Last min plan for Valentine's Day night. My cousin and I decided to grab dinner together. I was a little worried we might not find a place to eat that's not crowded or $$We arrived to Ichika right when they opened at 5:15pm and there were a few people waiting at the front already. We got seated in 15-20mins? And we did not make a reservation.... So we got lucky!Very cozy setting, so perfect for date night. The staffs were all friendly. Our last item which was the valentines treasure box didn't arrive for a while so we had to ask about it 15mins later or more. Which is understandable because it was Valentine's Day and they did have a full house.I will for sure return again ! Everything was so fresh! Lalalove their monk fish! Best I've ever had

Great service and good food. There are always new dishes and food is fresh. I particularly like their drink selection. You can order cold/hot milk tea or lemon tea in addition to plain hot tea. Service wise they are friendly and tentative. This place is not loud like other asian restaurants. Parking is easy to find and they even have electric car charging stations on site. Dinner selection:Best dishes of the night is steamed crab in truffle sauce and sticky rice. 9/10Peking duck 8/10Squab 8/10Squid stir fry. 8/10Steamed garlicky giant clams 9/10.All dishes come in good portions and right level of salt. For people like me who I don't eat carb and try to lose weight, their dish is not oily and not salty. You can bring your own wine and they did not charge bottle fee.

I came here alone for lunch on a Monday in late August while visiting San Francisco. The restaurant had some diners eating but wasn't super busy. They have a very cute indoor dining area, as well as covered outdoor seating. A staff member greeted me right away and seated me immediately. He brought water and a menu right away, and was efficient and friendly. I wasn't super hungry so I just ordered a half dozen oysters and the scallop crudo. Both of these came out quickly and were very fresh. I think this would be a good spot for a date night or a leisurely lunch. Would recommend and try again if I got the chance.

Hubs and I were out for a late dinner and we were craving Italian, so we decided on Spiazzo. It's been a while since we last visited. We started with the bread that is served with a pesto sauce ($1.75 for the bread service). It was ok, although I'd probably skip it next time. I ordered the gnocchi with oxtail ragout. I liked the texture of the gnocchi and the sauce was flavorful. Hubs ordered the spaghetti cacio e pepe - creamy and the goat cheese was subtle. Lots of spaghetti, so it was quite filling. I wanted the tiramisu and hubs went with the chocolate pot de creme. The tiramisu portion was generous and so good. I'd return just for that and coffee. The chocolate pot de creme is a treat for lovers of chocolate mousse.

"What an amazing experience we had for dinner tonight! Service was incredible, the house made pastas were made to perfection (we tried the pappardelle, rigatoni, and risotto), and the ambiance was warm and inviting. This is a place you come back to over and over again. Definitely a little gem of San Carlos."
"I have always heard great things about Big T's because of its great value and flavor and finally I got to try it! Fried oyster (5/5) - it's so freshly made! I haven't had such good fried oyster for a while and it definitely satisfied my need. It's so juicy and fried just proper amount of time Clam chowder (3/5) - I'm pretty picky on clam chowder coming from east coast. I give it 3 out of 5 because I don't think there's enough clams in there and it's not the type of thick clam chowder I like. Garlic clam (5/5) - this dish is so good!!! I love that they paired this dish with garlic bread. The clams taste fresh, and I dipped garlic bread in soup. So yummy!!Oyster (5/5) - oyster tastes fresh and price is decent!!Service (5/5) - awesome service! The staff was very friendly and helpful. He recommended the garlic clams to us and we really liked it.Environment wise, it's a pretty chill spot. A group of friends can hang out here and grab drink, and seafood!!Parking is easy to find because it's located in a plaza."
"Another impressive sushi dinner Never disappointed and always fresh Reservation is a must"
"Orale is next to my barbershop, so decided to stop by for a quick lunch.I ordered a California Burrito. Its been awhile since I've had one and I completely forgot that it meant fries replaced the rice haha. Nonetheless, it was pretty good. Salsas were good. Staff was friendly and they have a pretty good list of beers on tap. Will be back to try their steak burritos and tacos in the future! Parking available in the plaza. They have outdoor seating as well."
"I'm pretty sure this was here when I was living in UC 4 years ago, and now I'm mad at myself that I never knew of this place back then.My brother and hubby stopped in for late lunch reservations on a Wednesday and it was pretty empty, wait it was very empty with just one other table with a customer. I was a little worried but more shocked. My immediate impression walking in, I thought this restaurant has a nice interior, welcoming vibes but I was concerned there was no one here eating. Julian, our server was amazing from the start. Very personable, almost like he was an AI/robot, lol jk. He provided exceptional customer service without being overly helpful. For foods, we ordered two appetizers: crab cakes (bro's fav) and the aguachile. Both dishes were so good, I was excited to what was going to come out for our main dishes. The Aguachile had the perfect amount of spiciness with the Serrano sliced peppers and the shrimp marinating in a sour lime juice with spices. Wow, delicious stuff. Now for the mains, I went with the spicy pasta, hubby tried the Cajun pasta and my brother opted for the lobster/crab sandwich. Presentation was on point, really pretty plated dishes! Portions were pretty big, I would say two people can share the pasta dishes, needless to say I had leftovers, so yay me! I was just so satisfied with everything that we ate. From the flavors to the presentation, *chef's kiss good! Customer service, great; Ambiance welcoming and clean. I would 100% come back for a second visit and so should you. Bookmark now and come in to try some yummy dishes from Ocean Oyster Bar and Grill."
"Staff is great and attentive even in the busiest days. Food is amazing as expected. Dining at paradise beach grille never fails."
"Omg..my first time trying butter chicken. I figured I'm in California I've got to try it before I leave. It was DELICIOIS!!!! Chicken was tender, gravy was DELISH, the garlic naan bread was to die for!! Lentil soup had a hint of spice that my pallette appreciated. The lime soda was really good and even the rice pudding was good (I don't typically care for it).Treat yourself when you are in the area!! It's delicious!"
"Wonderful food and service! We sat outside , although it was a cloudy day. Their heat lamps were very hot. So much so, we had to ask to turn them down. The focaccia bread served at the beginning of our meal was soft and fresh! We are big fans of squid ink pasta and their rendition was very good. We appreciate how attentive the staff was. We will definitely be back!"
"I never want to go dine in for Vietnamese hot pot because my family makes it all the time, but my partner kept raving about it; so I had to try it. The name of this restaurant literally translates to "seafood hot", but they also serve different types of hot pots and Vietnamese dishes.Coconut sea snails (5/5): This is the perfect appetizer. It was very sweet creamy and succulent. Probably one of the best I've ever had.Seafood hotpot (5/5): i had to get this dish the restaurant is named after. It came with shrimp, squid, scallop, tofu, fish ball, clams, mussels , and other. Love the variety of seafood. It was very plentiful and the broth was the perfect sweet and sour. This place definitely blew my mind."
"My favorite place to order Indian food in the east bay!Customer service here is quick and seamless --They are really hospitable and quick to refill glasses of water. Very attentive and ready to add any additions and make suggestions if you want to try new things. Only positive things to say about their customer service.Butter chicken is a must, but the goat curry is perfection --Butter chicken here does not miss. Has perfect balance of spices and ghee. Pair it with garlic naan and that's already a fire meal. Also ordered goat curry and lamb vindaloo. Not a fan of the potatoes but there was not much. The meat portions are always really high.EACH dish comes with rice but keep in mind, it's a lot of rice. THE wings are a must try too. So much flavor and affordable.Overall, well worth the visit. This place also has a plethora of desserts ready to buy too!"

"Hands down one of my favorite spots in Oakland, this sushi restaurant (and more) is such a vibe! Very close to Piedmont Ave. and Kaiser Oakland, Judoku is the perfect spot to dine outdoors with friends, a date, or just playing catch-up with a girlfriend. The staff is so accommodating and friendly, the interior inviting, but the outdoor area..unlike any other sushi spot in the East Bay with fun art, instagrammable backdrops, and just a cool essence. Well done! The menu is massive ~ we ordered the Kakiage Tempura and Bento Boxes for an afternoon lunch and omg what a deal! You can choose 2 or 3 items, so naturally we chose 3 ~ the avocado roll, teriyaki chicken, and pork gyoza accompanied by miso soup, edamame, and rice. Add a salad for a couple bucks if you're dining in! The Kakiage Tempura is so unique, crispy, and one of the most delicious appetizers in the East Bay..I said it! Delicate fried squares of shrimp, sweet potato, yellow onion, shitake and other root veggies combined into one bite. Glorious! And the value of what you can get in the bento box has me coming back for more. I only did the avocado roll this time, but can't wait to try more of their specialty rolls soon. Delicious and clean pieces of teriyaki meat, and super yummy gyoza, not too greasy at all. If you're in the area, coming from an appointment, or looking for a unique yet vibrant change to your typical sushi experience, Judoku hits the mark every time."
"Khanh Do AttitudeLocally-owned mom-and-pop restaurant that's been serving authentic Vietnamese cuisine to the South Bay for nearly forty-five years (1981).They've moved around quite a bit over the years, with their last location being on Winchester Blvd across from The Row. This current location (±3yrs) is at the old Carrow's (RiP), and is well-suited for them and their clientele. The Good:*Private parking lot, as well as street parking available. *Great service and not at all like your typical ESSJ Viet restaurant, where they rush you thru and treat you like garbage. *Private party room available (min 25 max 40)*Nothing says class like smooth jazz in the background. :)*Booths!! I friggin love booths. :)))*Bottled beers (nothing fancy) and wine*Fresh Rolls (aka Gỏi Cuốn) were fresh and tasty, and I liked that they gave you options and price breaks on how many rolls you want (2,4, or 6). My only complaint was the dipping sauce wasn't the typical peanut sauce but soy sauce and a handful of peanuts thrown in. I mean it was fine once I added some Sriracha and hoisin to it, but still a bit odd. *Vietnamese Beef Stew (aka Bò Kho) was delicious and one of the best renditions I'd had in a while. The broth had a nice deep flavor and all the veggies and beef were cooked to perfection. My only complaint was I wish it had more beef, but that's always my complaint. *oink oink* :8)*Speaking of the Bò Kho, I got the more traditional baguette to go along with it and it was phenomenal. I'm not sure if they make it on house, but it was a very good baguette. I bet their bánh mìs are fantastic.*Carissa loved their Ginger Chicken (aka Gà Kho Gừng) as the chicken was cooked and seasoned nicely and the dish was filled with great ginger flavor. The Meh:*No outdoor diningThe Ugly:*I saw a few reviews on here stating that the food isn't "authentic" (whatever that means) but that's pure horseshit. Combined, we've eaten at dozens of Vietnamese restaurants throughout the country, so while we might not be the arbiters of what's "authentic" and what's not, I think we know anglicized cuisine when we see it--and this ain't it. Sure, the clientele is a bit sus, but we're in Campbell for fuck's sake. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Conclusion: Good food, great service, and terrific ambiance."
"The Powers that TeaLocated at the former Masa Ramen Bar (home of the Masa Ramen Challenge as seen on Man vs Food [S8:E19**]), Burma Choice has been serving up one of the more underrepresented restaurant cuisines: Burmese.Burmese food is a Fusion of mostly Thai with some Indian and Chinese thrown in for food measure. Burma Choice is one of only a small handful of restaurants that do this, but it should be noted, they do it very well. The Good:*Friendly service*Dog-friendly outdoor dining *Large shared private lot *Service was friendly and attentive*Local beers on draught, as well as a full bar. *Palata app is a must-order! The crispy, flaky palata was sensational. Imagine a croissant smashed into a flat bread. Yeah. It's that good.*Carissa loved her Pumpkin Stew w/ chicken, as it was a well-balanced soup/stew with good pumpkin flavor that had a subtle sweetness to go with the earthiness. *My current obsession, after reading about it on a local subreddit, is Burmese Tea Leaf Salad. This was only my second time consuming one but it was even better than my first time. Earthy, crunchy, and filled with tons of legumes and other goodies. Please note this is a vegan dish, but I highly-recommend going to the dark side and asking for some complimentary Crushed Dried Shrimp to sprinkle on top of the salad to give it an even bigger umami punch. The Meh:*Jackfruit Bananas dessert was just OK. I felt like all I could taste was the bananas In the filling and not enough jackfruit for my liking. And the ice cream was a boring vanilla. If they really wanted to pump it up, make the filling all banana and the ice cream jackfruit flavored. The Ugly:*Why is it when you're in a mostly empty restaurant they always feel the need to seat people literally right next to you? -_- Kinda like that guy that always parks their car right next to you in a 95% empty lot. Like wtf? Conclusion: Fantastic Burmese food with great service and a nice location. Highly recommended. **I'm actually somewhere in that episode. Hmmm..."
"Fantastic place to eat especially if you know your Thai food !!!Great service and the ambiance is great."
"Fresh and delicious food, The staff are friendly and attentive. overall dining experience is very enjoyable.服务员态度友善 海鲜 牛肉 新鲜 粥底鲜味 还会再来光顾"
"This place is amazing! The hostess, Delaney, is what made our night. I'm currently disabled and she went out of her way to accommodate my needs from the very beginning all the way until the end of our dinner. I had to use the restroom and she personally walked me all the way back to the restroom and held the door for me! The food was incredible, our server was extremely attentive, and the food came out fast. I'll definitely come back. Thanks Delaney!"
"Good food the best service would come back again the waiters checked on us at least 20 times making sure everything was right the food wow we ordered the short ribs they were so big we felt like cavemen we did have leftovers they did pack them for us and they wrap the bone for our dogs she wasn't in heaven when we gave it to her at home"
"This review is long overdue. I have visited Cajun house several times, and each time, I leave a happy boy! The food is fresh and flavorful. Combo C is our go-to, and it's a steal! The service is always excellent. Super friendly and attentive. The owner ( I think ) is super kind and chats up the tables. Bonus points: their 90s playlist hits every time we are in, and I am convinced it elevates the food's flavor.Go out and support this local business! **Pro Tip** Cross the street and get dessert at the ice cream parlor."
"This is a regular favorite for our family! It's our go to Thai spot in the neighborhood."
"I came on a Saturday night around 8 PM. there weren't many people here. I ordered the enchilada suizas. It tasted really great and came with rice and beans. The chicken was marinated well and it tasted perfect. I personally think it's a small portion size. For those who like to eat more, I recommend getting an extra enchilada because they're so good! The waiters came by to check on us often and offered water refills. The atmosphere was relaxing. Inside it was not too loud and plenty of places to sit. My friend and I sat outside where it was brightly lit. The parking lot in front has about 3 spaces so I recommend parking at the Plaza across the street."
"Earl Spicy has been in the old Yi Yuan location for 5 years, the interior decor is same and serves Szechuan cuisine. Met up with some old friends for lunch the day after Thanksgiving. After conversation with the owner found out this will be their last week. They sold the restaurant due to health issues. We ordered a table full of food of which most were good. They said the new owners are going to keep some of the most popular items. Only three tables at lunch."
"Massimo's is a Fremont classic. It's Fremont style fine dining and that's all good, especially for a family celebration. We recently celebrated my mom's 79th birthday with our group of 8 and it was perfect. Reservations are easy to make and modify on open table, which I had to multiple times that day due to changes in plans. Since my mom previously signed up for the birthday club, we used a voucher for a free entree (or take $25 off). Super easy and generous. My mom loved the halibut special and she's picky. The risotto with scallops and sausage is flavorful and rich. It's a must try. The eggplant parmigiana was good and not overly breaded. Cocktails were reasonably priced.I am a Fremont local and appreciate these well established spots. It's a cozy elevated restaurant (mood lighting and linen table cloths), but not stuffy. The bar area is somewhat casual. I have been here in then past for my own birthday dinner, mom's past birthdays, and a casual catch up with a girlfriend dinner. This may just be our go to for family birthdays!"
