"Went in Sunday 5:30 and they were able to accommodate our party of 12. Ordered the Fettuccine Chicken Tequila, as was recommended by our server and asked for it to be made less spicy. It came out perfect! It was quite tasty with just a slight kick to it. Everyone at our table seemed to like what they ordered. Even tasted the pear salad and two desserts - tiramisu and an apple bread pudding served with a scoop of ice cream. All were very good as well. Service was excellent. As we left, it was pretty much a full house. Would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"Do you need a quick fix for a slice or perhaps scratch that pasta itch? Rosie's will make it happen for you. The pasta portions are super generous (easily 2 meals for me). The pizza is definitely NY style, thin crisp crust that are large enough to fold and consume with much gusto. The dine-in vide is not NY neighborhood pizza joint though, more of a sports bar vibe.The garlic knots are delish but best eat fresh."

"One of the best Italian spots in the area. Service is quick and I haven't had any issues with my orders. Recently had lunch here and got the honey walnut salad with grilled chicken and clam chowder. The salad came with their delicious bread and cheese spread. Getting grilled chicken elevates the salad and highly recommend it. The restaurant has holiday decor. They're selling a variety of panettone by the register."

"Came in Valentine's day lunch because I saw they have special 3 course prix fixe for $65/person all day in OpenTable but when we arrived, was told that it's only for dinner and the chef wasn't willing to accommodate doing it for lunch. Pizza oven wasn't working either so were only left with rigatoni, lasagna, sandwich & burger from lunch menu, which was just significantly trimmed down this week. For some reason, they're willing to offer stuffed branzino and truffled fried mozzarella from dinner menu so we ordered the branzino and rigatoni with meatballs + crispy brussel sprouts. The branzino was super crispy but the sauce kinda ruined the bottom skin crispiness so maybe next time ask for sauce on the side :p Brussel sprouts are also good but the rigatoni is just alright. Also wish the tiramisu we had for dessert have rum for a bit more kick. Tips: You can park at 4th street garage across the street which is free for first 90min"

"Service was great. Food was yummy. We actually didn't get lasagne , got build your own pasta instead. It was very good as you can customize it and add only ingredients you like to it! I got the gnocchi with spinach and mushrooms with red sauce. The portions are quite big, too. And free bread!They have a kids menu, and kids cups! That was a pleasant surprise. Came on a weekend right when it opened so was able to get a table. It's pretty small inside so I imagine it gets pretty busy."

"My boss and I came here for lunch one afternoon. The first thing both my boss and I noticed was the aroma, it smelled soooooo good!!! We walked in and it was quiet for a weekday afternoon. We ordered at the cashier then sat down. I got the fetuccine alfredo and they got the baked rigatoni. We sat down and had the food brought out to us in no more than 7-10 minutes. The customer service was very friendly. The cashier and food runner were all very hospitable. We left very happy and very full. The price also didn't really break the bank, granted that we used our corporate cards. Overall; for a small mom and pop pasta restaraunt, it was really good! We'll be back!"

"HIDDEN GEM! Was gonna go to get Japanese ramen but it's so crowded. so I was just scrolling down the street and found Sapore Express. Sapore Express is an absolute gem in San Mateo! The pasta I ordered was bursting with flavor--perfectly al dente with a sauce that was rich, savory, and comforting. The arugula on top added a fresh, peppery touch that tied everything together beautifully.The attention to detail in every dish really stands out, and you can tell that the food is prepared with care and high-quality ingredients. "9/7/2023The Pasta Market4546 El Camino RealLos Altos, CA 94022We went there for a weekday lunch. It is located at the corner of the mall at ECR and San Antonio Avenue with parking around the shops. You order and pay at the counter at the RHS and seat yourself in the dining area on the LHS, where your food is brought to you. The ambiance was spartan diner but with real table cloths.We ordered the Fried Calamari, Meat Lasagna and I had the Linguine with Clams. The calamari was a little chewy with a crisp breading and topped with sauteed seasoned minced garlic. I've been searching for a place that features garlic calamari and this is the only place that has it. The flavor is excellent. Wifey was pleased with her Lasagna. My Linguine was more like a soup, it was served in a bowl topped with a generous helping of in shell clams and al dente pasta in a broth, not a sauce. There was even additional clam meat in the broth. It was different and very good.Service was fast and efficient. Portions were above average and an exceptional value. Definitely repeatable."

"Food was so good! Came here one night on Valentine's because everything was packed and needed a reservation. I didn't realize this place was here and so glad I found it. We wanted to sample a bit of the menu so we got a few things like gnocchi, tortellini, cheesy bread, clam chowder and cannelloni. I couldn't get enough of the sauces and even ordered another cheesy bread to sop it up! Seems like this place has a lot of to-go orders so there's plenty of space to stop in for a bite! The staff is very friendly and made us feel welcome.Needless to say I've been ordering from here regularly since! The chowder is perfect for those cold South SF nights. The Rosemarino was pretty delicious as well!"

Everything we ordered was not overly oily, cheesy, or dry!ORDER:Margherita Pizza - added some Italian sausage! So tasty, I love that you can taste it's from a traditional oven. It is nice and chewy, not too cheesy and tastes very fresh.Boscaiola Pasta - was nice and juicy! We got it with the pink sauce (a mixture of tomato + cream), I liked that it wasn't cheesy or too tomatoey! Pasta could be a little softer/thinner, Italian sausage was so GOOD! Focaccia bread - great flavor, not too oily or dry! Best bread I've had at an Italian restaurant!Tiramisu - Just the right amount of cake, not too sweet or overpowering! Mostly cream, a little hint of hazelnut towards the bottom which finished it off well!Cocktails: really solid! La Passione - couldn't taste that much vodka, it felt more like a refreshing juice to me, but that's probably because I'm so used to drinking vodka, but still a great drink! "Amazing pizza served by really friendly people! We came here to try something new outside the mall and Tony & Alba's is a promising option. There's baker racks by entrance with games you can enjoy while you wait for food and I think some of their own merchandise. This is great for when you have kids as it kept my daughter busy the entire time! The owner is so friendly and they run "government surveys" which this month was just asking kids if they like chocolate chip cookies. So much community going on here as well in their condiments area they also feature peppers from a member of the community. Ambiance aside we only tried pizzas and a salad here. We got the a la garlic with pineapple which I thought was great with the jalapeños and juicy pineapple pieces. My daughter loves pepperoni pizza and so we got her slices of it."
