"We came to back to JJamPPong because we had a bad jajang mein (black bean sauce noodles) at another restaurant in Millbrae a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about coming back the entire week to get jajang mein and their famous Korean double fried chicken. That feeling of satisfaction from a good meal is priceless. Redemption from a bad meal to a great one is twice as good. As a revenge meal, we ordered two orders of fried chicken $20 each, crispy garlic shrimp $24, chow fun $20 and of course, jajang mein $16. The food remains excellent. For the Korean fried chicken, get ready for some sticky fingers goodness. I really like the crunchiness as well as the authentic flavors. Their chef(s) concocted this sweet yet mild spicy glaze for the honey chili chicken which is addicting. We never had their salt and pepper fried chicken before and this was quite good. My favorite remains their garlic sauce version.The surprise standout dish was their beef chow fun. I've must have eaten this dish over a thousand times. Their chef(s)' interpretation added more depth by including chopped onions, scallions, bok choy, choy sum along with bean sprouts. The dish had a good smokey, wok hei flavor with the end tips of the beef, chow fun and onion caramelized. Chow fun could be boring but the chef did a good job with the light seasoning that rivals the best out there.Service was excellent. Constant water refills, extra napkins because the chicken. Side note, the owner's wife recognized me from my crispy noodles photo that I posted on Yelp when they first opened and gave me and my family an oyster sauce clams dish. That was an unexpected revelation. We were already so full. It is nice to be treated like a VIP even though I'm just a regular guy that likes to eat. It is a testament to them being a small local restaurant that recognizes their customers. This genuinely made my week a little bit better. Walking home with a stuffed stomach beyond capacity is delightful. Great job everyone at JJamPPong."

"If I could gatekeep one spot, I would gatekeep this one. I've been coming to K-Elements since high school and the price and quality is unbeatable for an AYCE spot. Whenever we try another kbbq place, we always compare it to K-Elements as the standard. Unlimited meats at a very wide variety, individual cups of cheese corn, and very attentive staff always ready to help change out the grill. The dining room is huge and each table can accommodate parties of 2-6 at least and plays kpop music in the background, usually with a sports game on the big tvs. You order on your phone via the QR code placed on your table, and they bring out the meats and sides on little trays. Even back when I was in college K-Elements was the must-visit every time I came back to the city. Do yourself a favor and get the kalbi short ribs--they're the best. My only complaint? I wish the grills were bigger so I could eat it all faster :P"

"I came to Tong Soon Garden with my friends after hearing good things about its Jajang Mein and Fried Chicken. I came to a completely empty restaurant and we were seated immediately. The servers welcomed us and the place is very traditional with large wooden tables and open space. We asked for recommendations, which our waiter helped explain each of the dishes. We placed our order and the dishes came out quickly one-by-one.I really liked the Jajang Mein and Kan Pung Gi. The Jajang Mein was so flavorful with the thick black bean sauce and bouncy noodles. The Kan Pung Gi was crispy and the sauce was sweet and tangy. We also got the Eggplant with Garlic Sauce, which was good but very heavy from the sauce. The Jjampong was also good and had a softer soup. The sweet and sour pork was a little off putting by the color, but the taste was actually quite sweet. We had a good time enjoying all the dishes, and our server gave us pear slush drinks and fortune cookies at the end!For all this food, it was decently affordable. Although there were a lot of fried dishes, I still enjoyed it."

Although a very tiny sit-down restaurant with limited seating, this place was packed when we arrived, and still packed when we left for good reason. The owner who runs the front of the house is incredibly kind, and is a 1-woman powerhouse that takes orders, hosts, answers the phone, serves, buses, and handles to-go orders. We were a group of 5, and 2 out of our party were running late. Despite this, the owner never rushed us even though we took up two entire tables. Ordered a seafood pancake to share, which turned out to be HUGE and more than enough food to go around the table. The banchans were plentiful, and she kept coming to replace our banchan tray every time it ran low. For my entrée, I chose the 2 item combo with Fried Wing TKim and Chicken Katsu. Like the appetizer, portion size was VERY generous and we were all incredibly stuffed at the end. The owner also threw in a bowl of Korean noodles for free, which was equally as delicious as all the other food. For dessert, we were treated to some cut watermelon and some lemon jelly. YUM.Metered street level parking is available on Ocean, or you can pull into the residential area for limited free parking. Look forward to coming back here again soon in the near future! Food-wise, we skipped the rice bowls (gotta keep the figures in check) and went for a mix of their pan dishes. The CC Pan Dish (Cocaine Chicken) + corn cheese was an elite combo: sweet, flavorful, and comforting. The pork pan dish with macaroni salad was just as delicious, and the Pig Ponzu Salad? Easily my favorite. If you love ponzu, you need to try it! The seafood pancake was crispy and tasty, but I wish it came with more dipping sauce. Also tried their skewers, which were fun to share, but honestly, a bit too much work for me. Huge shoutout to the store manager who checked in on us and convinced us to try the $5 hot sake deal. Let's just say it took our night up a notch. Portions were generous, and we had plenty to take home for lunch the next day. "Finally came here last night with a small group of friends. Always better to do korean food family style in my opinion. We were able to be seated immediately but any later than the 6pm arrival time, we probably would have had to wait. The restaurant itself is very stylish along with their menu design. The menus themselves are already worse for wear though. All our menus had torn or ripped pages in them, which is surprising since it's a fairly new restaurant that's on the nicer side. What we ordered: -kimchi pancake ($9.99): this was a nice and tasty pancake with nice texture. It's a thicker pancake than I'm used to. It could be a little crispier.- seafood pancake ($20.99): the seafood pancake I really liked along with the rest of the table. Nice and crispy with a decent amount of seafood. Probably my favorite dish.-seafood kalguksu ($22.99): the most disappointing dish for me. The broth was on the bland side. Noodles was decent texture but just not a good quantity of noodles. We barely got 4 people enough noodles for a quarter bowl of noodles each and still had a 5th person. Plenty of seafood though, also on the bland side though. The noodles itself is a like a 2/5 for me.- steamed dumplings ($13.99 for 6): the dumplings were fine. Needed the sauce and then was very tasty. The one on the menu shows 4 mandu but on the electronic ordering, it is 6 regular steamed dumplings. - bulgogi sotbap ($26.99): the bowl was surprisingly deep so had a lot of rice. It showed some crispy rice at the bottom, but I'll try to ask them to cook it longer so it's actu crispy. The bulgogi itself was good but not very bulgogi tasting, like lacking in that bulgogi sauce. Pickles that came with it were good.-ondam chicken platter ($21.99): this had a nice variety of kfc in 3 different flavors. My favorite was the fried garlic one. The sauce it came with was good and went well with the kimchi pancake actually. I wish there was the option of bone in or boneless chicken. But decent amount of chicken for the price. Could be fresher or crispier when it came though. -complementary bonchon: the bonchon options here were quite delicious. I really liked the black beans and the green veggie dishes. A very solid bonchon.For the price point and quality of food, I gave 4/5 stars. We were able to feed 5 people very well for around $30ish each. It's on the blander side flavors wise. Great bonchon though. But tasty enough overall where I would crave it enough to come back multiple times, especially with a group. My biggest gripe is if they're doing electronic system, should have the option to ask for water or tea. It was quite difficult to get water refills. We also asked for tea at the beginning but that never came. Servers were quick once you did manage to get their attention."

Service is friendly and you can call for service whenever you need it with the handy button on the table.The menu is pretty extensive, with most of the classics you can imagine. From the signs on the wall, they make their own tofu for the restaurant but I was interested in the pork soup since you don't see it at too many places.Pork soup: this was served with purple rice on the side, as well as chives, chilli paste and salt. The soup was pretty flavorful already so I didn't really need the salt, and warm and comforting and quite rich. I was surprised that the meat in there was pork belly, I thought it might be a different, more meaty cut like shoulder. Nevertheless, this was yummy.Spicy pork stone pot: everyone loves a good stone pot with the crispy rice! They had oiled this pot well so the crispy rice came off easy and was delicious with all the crunchy vegetables and spicy pork.The banchan provided was ok - they had fishcake, soy sauce onions, bean sprouts, some green vegetable, and 2 kinds of kimchi (Napa and radish).Honestly the food was pretty good and I would go back if the prices were lower. But for at least $20 per entree, I found the spot quite pricy especially since there are many more affordable options in the area."

Rice Junky recently changed their business to serving Korean street food and snacks which I don't mind because I've been looking for a place to get delicious gimbap and rice balls. They also serve sandwiches that are also delicious!The gimbap is packed with ingredients and super delicious. Perfect for on the go. If you're looking for something easy to take and pack, their rice balls or triangle gimbap is amazing. They have legit packaging to keep the seaweed nice and crisp separate from the rice ball so it can be enjoyed anytime! My favorites are the spam and jalapeno and tuna mayo. They do open and close early so be sure to check hours before going and are closed on Sunday. We usually get there around 12:00. The banchan is always good. My friend likes the fish cakes, they don't always have it, but you can ask. I like the kimchi and the cucumbers. The Galbi is delicious! I ordered it to go for my husband and they packed it like a full on lunch with rice and banchan. It was so cute! I was just expecting galbi. We have had the seafood pancake, which is delicious and also the chicken wings are good and crispy. The rice tea or water is delicious. I'm not sure if you have to ask for it. It's located inside of Lake Chabot Public Market to the right of the entrance. They sell branded merch that we were so tempted to buy! They also have a little grocery store section which is perfect if you needed to grab a few things.We ordered the kalbi burrito and bulgogi cheesesteak. She warned us of the wait time before we ordered, which we appreciated. She quoted us 20-25 minutes but it wasn't too long at all! We got our food in about 15 minutes but I appreciated their transparency. Had to take a bite of the French fries first - they tasted like McDonald's! My kalbi burrito was huge, and so good. The ingredients could be spread out a little better, I was eating just plain rice for the first 3 bites. And all of the kimchi was in the very last few bites on the other end. But otherwise the meat was tender, although could've been more of it! I also would've enjoyed some kind of spicy creamy sauce, maybe like a gochujang mayo. The size was plenty and I was able to take home half to eat for another meal. The burrito was closer to a 4 star but my review is going to be a 5 because of my husband's bulgogi cheesesteak. It was also very good size which is good since both were $15 each without any side or drink. The meat was so tender and there was a nice kick to the flavor. The tomato and lettuce were unnecessary since those aren't on cheesesteaks normally but I could eat those peppers all day. They were sweet and not overly spicy. I hope they read this review and tell me what kind of peppers those were because I need them in my everyday meals at home!Really great experience here - I'll definitely remember that cheesesteak!"

"I love this place. Been going here since before Covid. Their garlic sprout panchan thing is prob the best I've ever had. This is my go to Korean soup and dol sot bibambap spot. The staff here are hella funny, my friends and I are huge fans of Soni. She's here every now and then. She'll entertain your soju shots if you're pouring lol. Oh, for the ultra congested parking lot, just park next door at the bank and E sharp hair joint."

They're not upscale and they're not using premium ingredients so what am I missing? School me. Since opening in 2014, Beijing Restaurant has been a staple in Santa Clara for Junghwa, Korean-style Chinese food (sister businesses: Roll N Noodle & Two Zone Chicken closed during the pandemic). It's a cuisine created by Chinese immigrants in Korea. Open for takeout, delivery, and indoor dining. No more outdoor dining. During the pandemic, we did outdoor dining and had an underwhelming experience but recently gave them another chance. This time for delivery since I had a UberEats discount. "I was craving some Kimchi Stew so I decided to order pickup! I wanted to try the raw marinated crab but unfortunately, they were out of stock. I ended up getting Galbi jjim and Pork Bulgogi too. There is a good amount of side dishes! (Fish cake, japchae, cucumbers)Galbi jjim - very moist and easy to chew! Pork Bulgogi - a bit too smokey in my opinion, but the cut of meat is just right and not dryKimchi Stew - tofu is a good size and tasty, pork is just the right cut of meat and moist, and cabbage tastes fresh and not hard!
