A sushi-inspired burrito/roll thingy... wow. GREAT idea. The seaweed wrap was a bit tough to bite through but like most sushi - you work through it. Wonderful flavors in such a simple concept. The mango chicken salad seemed like another fresh choice and although there was no ounce of gluttony in the dish I kept feeling like we were skimped on the dressing. Having asked for another side of dressing we realized it just lacked flavor. Th mango was flavorless and tasted of jicama. I would be excited to try other things on the menu but with the food truck craze being in full force on streets all over SF, I think I'll take my chances elsewhere first.

TomKat's genre is various kinds noodles including asian rice cakes.locale: un plazasampling: -singapore noodles (7)the vermicelli was cooked perfectly, not soggy nor chewy. very tender pork pieces throughout, with just enough curry, bean sprouts, onions, and scallions to make dish an incredible eat. nearly the best i've tasted/-crispy potatos with cilantro aioli (1.5)cubelets of fried potatoes looking like oversized scrabble pieces with nice crunch on the outside and tenderness on the itself. dusted with a white powder and salt. the aioli added the piece de resistance.foodnotes:-had to wait a few minutes for the food, meaning food wasn't premade.-need to try the ong choy chiu chow rice noodle to upgrade to 5 stars. now 4.5 stars.-check you box before leaving, they forgot the aioli but remedied it right away when i showed them.

Comfort stir fry on a truck? I'm sold. They are usually stationed for lunch on 3rd street in the Dogpatch area when they are not at a festival or OTG. The first dish I tried was the Loma Saltado which was a Peruvian dish with noodles. The peppers added a nice little kick but wasn't spicy. The fried potatoes on the side was a pleasant surprise.I also tried their Bibambap which was a interesting mixture (in a good way). This dish also had a spicy kick with the kim chi. I personally liked how they added the ong choy but could do without the egg.

Honestly it was bad. They really need to research better flavor or the truck won't last long.I tried pork and beaf both, and both were blunt and had no taste. Because theme itself wasn't bad... please work harder to produce better food.

Hooray for TomKat, a great addition to the Dogpatch food scene! They're typically parked on 3rd St. @ 20th, and they also participate in local Dogpatch merchant association events like Jug Sundays.I've been going here periodically for the last few months and have tried most of their offerings, all of which are tasty. The lomo saltado is the standout. Everything they serve is fresh and full of flavor, and you can toss some sriracha on top for a little extra kick. They do some interesting twists on Asian noodles from various countries and rotate specials regularly so there's always something new to try. Keep it up, TomKat!

YUMMY - as my son would say. Decided to step out of the box and avoid the leftover catered food from a meeting in the office...wanted something that would awaken my sleeping flavor senses. I ordered the noodles with braised beef topped with a soft egg.it was exactly what i needed to get me going. Braised beef was flavorful and melted in my mouth..and the yummy noodles did indeed soak up the sauce. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....thank you TomKat! I hope you swing by Mission Bay again real soon...

Everything on the menu seemed really appealing to me - or at least one or two ingredients really stood out as sounding creative and delicious. (salsa verde? spicy pickles? fried shallots? cilantro everywhere? Should be delicious, right?) If anything, it was hard to choose. However, after trying the chow ning gow, I'm wary that they all sound better than they are.We had pork with it, which was greasy and severely lacking in flavor. I didn't really know what rice cakes were in this context, but they seemed to be kind of flavorless little slabs of chewiness, which wasn't particularly appealing. None of the other elements really came together, and everything was greasier than it had to be. I wouldn't go back.

A non-exhaustive list of things that are preferable warm and toasty include toes during winter, bagels to assist cream cheese spreading, chocolate chip cookies underneath a scoop of vanilla ice cream, Independence Day fireworks-viewing weather, and TomKat's Spicy Pork Nori Roll Up.Although the pork is sufficiently spiced with its marinade delightfully permeating and unintentionally extending its flavor to the surrounding rice while tucked in with a crunchy slaw to provide necessary textural balance in a sizable roll up, its chilliness unfortunately conjures up a leftover-laden past-its-prime burrito experience. Some oven action would transform this offering from acceptable elevator tunes to no-holds-barred rock and Nori Roll!
